Why would anyone throw away $5K to bond this woman out of jail? She has no job, no income, no place to stay and has lied to LE during their investigation of her missing child case. Wouldn't that $5K be better spent on the 5 year old's cost of living expenses with Granny?

This $5K is the payment to the bondsman. They don't get it back. How could CB bond out the woman who may have killed his baby? Even in Lonzie's father is not CB, the child carries CB's name and is legally considered his child.

What is the point of getting her out of jail? I fear for the safety of the woman who drove LL home that night, she was afraid to speak out until LL was behind bars. And, what about the friends that audio taped her conversation about getting so wasted while driving around not looking for Lonzie? I guess this is why LE tells everyone to not talk to the media.

Her bond should have been higher. High enough that no one could get her out.
RE supposedly flushed stash before 911 call, LL was texting on the ride home with co-worker and I'd bet she was needing drugs before she got home where there may not be any ...(she's stressed ya know?!?) Instead of collecting money, I'd bet again she picked up a little sumpin sumpin?

I think she dropped off a little sumpin sumpin... RE was probably communicating
through this other person to LB, (knowing LE would be checking phone records) that LE was on the scene.... "have this person hold your drugs in case you're arrested".

Just speculation

Oh man there's a photo of the little guy on the HFLB FB page, in reply to a comment by the page around 40 minutes ago asking for information about LB, CB, RE and friends etc. A reply by someone called MR shows a photo of the baby drinking his bottle and you can clearly see red marks and swelling on his head/face. Poor little guy. My heart is breaking.

So nothing new on News4Jax. All a rehash re: happy dance, Macclenney bond agency was used, and questions about where LL will be staying and if she's allowed to see her daughter. They also had a brief interview with the person bonded out at the same time who was so angry watching LL do the happy dance because she stated she has children of her own and would not be in such a gleeful mood if one was missing.

I'm guessing Lonna isn't very popular with the behind-bars crowd.

Unfreakinbelievable! Can't believe someone bonded her out. Hopefully it will be short lived.
Do they have conditions on being bonded out? Like reporting to a parole officer every week, drug tests etc?

Poor lonzie.

Before I read your post I was about to comment on the person arrested with Lonna & WRE in the drug bust. I was going to say that person had the initials of TB with the B being Barton. I assumed it was Chris's sister or a relative of his. Are you sure it was Lonnas' sister?

--thanks.

--i had thought media was saying that he wasn't to have contact w/ LL or her sister (who would have been the one there for the drug bust).....for example this article:

Ebron was last arrested on May 30 and ordered not to have contact with the toddler's mother, Lonna Barton, and her sister.

--however, that same article says that LL took out a 3rd DV injunction against ruben, and we know that is incorrect.

--since the Baker docket lists her as T Barton, it does make sense that she is perhaps related to CB .

The first question that generally arises is what is bond and why is it necessary. Bond is the financial undertaking to obtain the release of an individual who is in law enforcement’s custody by guaranteeing that the individual will appear for all his or her court appearances. This guarantee is usually made by posting a sum of money (the amount is usually determined by a judge), or by pledging property (often real estate, car titles, etc.) of certain value to insure that an individual will appear in court. The advantage is that an individual does not languish in jail waiting for his/her case to progress. The disadvantage is, of course, that if the defendant fails to appear at a scheduled court appearance or fails to comply with the conditions of their bond then the bond is revoked and the person is returned to custody and the money or property that was pledged is forfeited. The purpose of bond is not to punish the defendant but rather to insure that he/she will appear in court. Additionally, with some types of crimes a court will impose additional requirements other than just the posting of money or property. In these instances the conditions imposed may be to protect the community or the alleged victim of the crime from further harm or harassment. Typically, bond requirements prohibit the person on bond from consuming alcohol, possessing firearms, leaving the state without the Court’s permission, from having any contact with the alleged victim and may also require the defendant to submit to drug or alcohol testing.

:( Look at his ear and what looks to be a big bruise just above it. Looks like that side of his head got slammed into something to me.

Hope she isn't a flight risk. She is due to appear in court again on the 9th. Sept. Does anyone know what that will be for? She has already had an arraignment. Maybe next time it will be for sentencing on her current charges? And LE are still building their case, so will be interesting to see what that culminates in for the horrible duo.

Regarding Lonna seeing Lonzie last at the laundromat: In her interview Lonna said the last time she saw Lonzie was in the car when she was dropped off at work:

The last time she saw her toddler, he and his big sister, Lily, were in the car with Ruben Ebron as they dropped her off for work, Lonna recalls.

"I gave him and Lily a kiss on their forehead and told them mommy loved them and I would see them when they came to pick me up. I just never imagined I wouldn't see him again," she said.

BBM - Freudian slip?

She knows she will never see Lonzie again, not 'he would go missing/get abducted' not 'I would be without him this long' she appears to know she will NEVER see him again. Guess that someone is aware that the hiding place is a good one?

Whoever it was that bonded her out I really want to know how much money they donated to the search teams that were out looking for Lonzie at all hours, for hours and hours and hours. They needed some financial help with things like tools, supplies, water etc.
How much did you donate to them to assist them with the search of Lonzie?

You just spent $5000 to get Lonzie's "mom" out of jail. I use quotations around the word mom because to me she is only the mom by dna. She is not an actual mom and does not deserve that title otherwise.
That $5000 would have been quite helpful to the search teams who actually went into the woods and etc to look for him. Unlike his "mom" who couldn't be bothered to look in the woods for him. She had better things to do apparently.

ITA with all you said. But that is for people that have a conscience and it is obvious the players in this case don't have one when it comes to their children. We see it time and time again. They are definitely missing something in their gene pool IMO. Poor little ones that have the misfortune to be born to them, its just horrible they treat their babies as disposable objects.

If she imbibes in drugs and/or alcohol while out on bond, she goes back to jail, right?

Wow! Unbelievable.

Are we just speculating on who got Lonna out of jail or did I miss an article or tweet about it?

I just cannot believe Lonna can be so disconnected with her son being missing!!!!
