JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is following a tip in the Lonzie Barton investigation.
The toddler was reported missing in July. He would've turned 2 years old this past weekend.

JSO dive teams are searching an area near the Southside apartment complex at Old Kings Road and Naranja Drive.
Lonzie's mother, Lonna Lauramore Barton, and her boyfriend, Ruben Ebron, who is the suspect in his disappearance, face charges in connection with this case, including giving false information to police and child neglect.

My understanding is that they had...but a tip led them back. Maybe a possibility he was put there after the area had been searched. Just speculating.

So now I understand the dive teams involvement..
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office dive team was searching a pond Monday near where 21-month-old Lonzie Barton was reported missing.
