I ran tests (Thanks, @photographer4 for being my guina pig!) and determined that they are NOT transferrable like tlyca said.
What we learned - if we use a VPN and mark it as being in FLA, then the site eventually loads and I can search the defendant and prove I'm not a robot then his case pops up. What isn't working yet for me is the document viewer, but I'm out of time to work on this for now... happy to volunteer for Gemmie whenever! Thanks all!

Of course, guns -- that sounds most likely. Don't know why I hadn't even thought of that.

I'm confused though on another part of that report. About the police hearing her yelling Maddie's name outside her house? That's what the commentator on the video thought that redacted part meant. But in the first mention of it, it says they pulled up to the house and Ms Stearns was outside yelling for a [redacted]. The way he said that, I thought he meant she was yelling for a dog, because he said "a" before the redacted part. But it wouldn't make sense that he would redact the word dog. Maaaaybe I could see him redacting the dog's name, but then there wouldn't be the "a" in front of a name.

But if the redacted part says Maddie, why is there an "a" in there? "yelling for a Maddie"?? OK well, now I can see that that might be possible after all. Seems weird to write it that way though, especially given that the cop would have recognized the name Maddie as the victim's name. But it's possible, I guess. Also I know it may have been just a typo and he didn't really even mean to type the "a" at all. So never mind that.

But also, it still doesn't make sense to me that that redacted part would say Maddie. Why would she be outside yelling for Maddie? They said maybe she thought SS had brought her back to their house and left her in the woods. Did they mean maybe she thought Maddie might be back there in the woods somewhere, alive? Like maybe he tied her up outside or left her injured or something? That's all so very weird. And how all this was happening just as LE showed up. Seems strange. Even though it was at 3 am when she woke up to the dogs barking and thought SS had come back.

And what happened with that also? Did she not get up to see if it was him? WAS it him? Was he or anyone else there when she got up in the morning? Why would she not think it would be her husband? Just because he's never awake at that hour probably. But she said her husband was supposed to be in Kissimee or wherever SS was, because he had to go help him with a "housing crisis". What was that about? And why would SS be coming back to her house while Dad was off supposedly helping SS?

And Maddie was already reported missing at this time, and CS had gone, as we know, to where SS was, but not for any housing crisis, but because of the missing Maddie. Did CS make up the "housing crisis" story as an excuse to go to SS, and avoid telling DS about Maddie?? But DS did know about Maddie, we know, because she talked to local LE about it. So why was DS still saying CS had gone to SS for some housing crisis issue, whatever that means? That part totally confused me.
Could the "housing crisis" have been trying to keep SS out of jail? OOPS, should have read further -- the hotel since they did not have access to the condo makes perfect sense. Only, why was JS not with her family?

IMO because she wanted to stay with her BF and I don't think they'd both be welcome at G'ma's house.

Also, they MIGHT have wanted to discuss stuff in order to get their stories straight without prying ears.

All MOO!

I don't think she wanted to leave SS side. It is hard to corroborate your stories when you don't have immediate and easy access to one another imo.

I guess we really do not know the relationship between JS and her mother or even her sister. but the fact is she chose to stay with him in the hotel. JS chose to lie to LE about when she last saw Madeline, she chose to coddle SS in front of the media. She chose to speak HIS narrative instead of putting SS front and center to tell LE when they arrived exactly how the morning unfolded, timeframes, location, etc. instead she told HIS STORY for him.

they were never side by side from the onset, he hovers when LE first arrived, then inserts himself in the questions being asked of JS...he punctuates and adds commentary. and even takes over before she can answer. and the media video interviews....he hovered in one, then speaks solo in another.

SS's father showed up, rents a room, to do what exactly?

I wondered this as well. SS’s father arrives in the area and rents a hotel room why?? I can’t imagine why he needed to be there in person? I wonder if his motivation was worry for his son, and trying to keep him out of trouble? Perhaps he was afraid that JS would try to blame SS for something so he thought he’d provide himself as a witness to whatever was to happen next? Not sure.

What I find the most interesting thing about CS driving up to be with his son, is that for whatever reason, they got together in the early morning hours outside of their hotel rooms to discuss/do what? Cuz it was something IMO.

Pg 120:

On February 28, 2024, at approximately 0442 hours, Stephan exits the hotel.
On February 28, 2024, at approximately 0728 hours, Stephan's father exits the hotel.
On February 28, 2024, at approximately 1050 hours, Stephan's father re-enters the hotel.

On February 28, 2024, at approximately 1055 hours, Stephan re-enters the hotel
.

So basically... SS was doing something for 6 hrs 13 min, his father was doing something for 3 hrs 28 min, but what I find the most interesting... is that his dad returns to the hotel 5 min before SS. What was THAT about?? Were they together shortly before reentering the hotel, but decided it would look better if they didn't walk in together since SS exited hours before CS?

It was way too long for CS to have a leisurely breakfast somewhere IMO. I am FAR from a quick eater, and I have been known to literally take 2+ hrs to eat a meal (I macerate my food very well as I read. lol), but ~3.5 hrs? Naw, even I couldn't do that so it wasn't just breakfast IMO. If it was breakfast at all.

All MOO.

Any chance that JS knew/had a feeling about SS being guilty? Maybe she was trying to either get information from him at the hotel or maybe it was a setup and she was working with LE as sort of an informant?
I am not of the belief that the hotel stay was a setup and that she was working as an informant. They stayed at the hotel because everyone was asked to leave the residence in order for it to be searched and collect evidence.

Pg 33: I explained to JS her residence was going to be secured and everyone was going to have to stay somewhere else for the night.

Pg 35 - The search warrant for JS's residence was served on February 28, 2024, at approximately 0800 hours.

Pg 34: On February 28, 2024, at approximately 0100 hours, I left JS’s residence. Officers of the Kissimmee Police Department stayed on scene and assured nobody re-entered the residence.

Both could be true. The house was a considered a crime scene, they had to leave. Just throwing out some possible ideas for why she went to the hotel with SS. What she said in the interviews were different than what she shared with LE. I might be trying to make sense of something that may never make sense. MOO

Didn't JS wonder, why at all her home became a crime scene, when her daughter had to have go missing from the school area, to which JS/SS/both had taken Maddie (as JS said herself)??

Right? I have wondered if CS was working with LE to try to get some sort of information about where MS was but so far nothing seems to suggest this. Maybe he thought he’d keep his son company or follow behind him in case some hints were given about her whereabouts?

I doubt this as the police were pretty clear in their statement that everyone close to MS was a suspect and was being investigated - I do not see JS as being super helpful to LE when she didn’t appear to be super concerned about even finding her daughter (waited at home for the kid she stated probably didn’t know her own address while everyone else was out looking) etc. NO link as we’ve discussed and posted them many times. So Moooo

yes, everyone had to stay somewhere else, including the roommate(s).

SS audio interview (released): the date and time of this interview was verbally identified on the recording by the detective as 2/27 at 19:16. at the end of the interview, he allowed them to retain his phone. at some point they discovered the SA pics/videos.

On 2/28, as you noted, the search warrant was executed. while the search warrant was being executed, LE shared with the search warrant detectives currently at the home, images found on his phone and they were asked to check the home for specific bedding shown in the pics, clothing, etc. <------it was then validated those items depicted in the pics were found in the home and the child shown in these images was the 'missing child' Madeline. SS was then arrested that same day

SS's father and mother: according to LE's report on 2/28, DS was home alone because CSvwent to orange county to 'assist SS with getting a hotel due to a housing crisis', yet, she then says she 'believes' SS might have shown up last nite (2/27) because the dogs were barking and they usually do that when someone enters the home. and then says she thought maybe he had Madeline with him and hid her in the house or abandoned her in the woods.<----why would she think that??????

and then goes on about a sex doll in his room, SS stealing money from them. quite a bit of excited utterances.

then there is this: the CAD report in released docs:

My personal opinion on all this is that SS acted alone. That's what he does, he lies, manipulates, controls, and gaslights to control people and get his way. Every person that's been in his life has been done that way. It's hard for anyone to understand the impact that has on people and their thought processes unless you've been in a similar situation. I think most of what we are discussing here about JS, or her family, or SS family, well we are seeing people have to come to terms with the reality of who he is and what he's done. It will take years for these people to try to unravel all the lies and manipulations and what was really what. I think SS parents are trying to do the "universal right thing" and support their son until everyone knows what happened and maybe even after. I'll be the first one to admit that should any of my kids ever end up in a similar position as SS, I will be angry, hurt, confused, untrusting, extremely stressed and a million other things, but I would still love them and still try to do what I can for them in this world. It's taken me many years reading at WS to see this viewpoint. But I don't feel that SS parents supporting him or being in his corner is necessarily being against MS or supportive of what happened to her. I think JS will spend the rest of her life trying to unpack all of this and deal with it mentally. I see a lot of people left to pick up one mans messes. I just feel extremely sad for everyone else.

Looks like these weren't from the State Attorney's office, as the other doc dumps were. I've requested records from North Port Police Department, and I believe that legally they aren't allowed to charge for just the act of sharing records (vs. the cost of redacting them, etc.), so hopefully there will be no cost. If I'm able to get them (for free), I'll upload them to Scribd and share.

Finally here! It's 21 files, and many look like just one page, so I'm thinking it'll be most convenient if I find a way to combine them into one file before uploading to Scribd. We'll see if I have any applications that can do that... Should hopefully be able to upload it all by tonight.

PDFsam is a great, free download I've used for over ten years! It can do a lot with PDFs, including merging multiple into one document.

Looks like they stiffed you 1 file: They didn't send you the NOTICE OF SUPPLEMENTAL DISCOVERY.pdf, which is 193.61 KB

Is that from North Port PD?

I'm certainly not an expert, but the title ("DISCOVERY") implies to me that it is a document related to the process in which SS's defense is entitled to receive all evidence from the prosecutors, which wouldn't apply to the public records request I made to North Port PD. The other requests I made were to the State Attorney, but I haven't heard of anything else coming out (and don't want to pay to find something new...) so I haven't requested anything else from them.

The results of a public records request to North Port PD (where SS's parents reside, and SS sometimes resided): https://www.scribd.com/document/758...-the-investigation-into-Madeline-Sotos-murder

Contains: several incident reports from North Port LEOs; descriptions of interviews with the parents of SS (CS & DS); a dispatch log; and a description of evidence gathered.
Alrighty, here are the documents that I assume are the ones that the YouTubers have had recently, but I haven't actually watched any of those videos.

Table of Contents. I got a little lazy with the descriptions because I haven't read through it all yet.
