I don't believe that JS had a mistrust of men. She seemed to constantly be either dating or in a relationship. If she thought men were so bad, why did she always have to have one? I think, if anything, she didn't trust them to stay with her. However, that isn't a flaw with men, who would want to be with a selfish and lazy woman who can't hold a job and uses her mental illness as an excuse for everything? She finally found a way to keep one, and didn't care that it was at her daughter's expense. This woman belongs behind bars, sleeping on an uncomfortable bed and having her sleep disrupted every night for the rest of her life.

I don't think it matters when WA did what he did in relation to JS, because it could have come to her attention anytime after. Like... many years later (decade +) which I think is the case. But it makes me wonder... what happened to her as an adult (or teen, preteen) to even become aware of the WA fact? It was something, IMO.

I've read/heard speculation that JS is not being charged because prosecutors need her to be their star witness at SS's trial.

I don't see that at all. From what we've seen her first priority is to shield SS. Also she comes across at best wishy washy and at worst, lying.

The only thing I can think of is that prosecutors expect SS's defense to be that JS actually killed Maddie and he was only trying to help her cover it up. In that case they would need JS's testimony.

I cant think of any other reason. Whats worse is she continued to protect "herself" essentially, even after viewing direct evidence. I need proof, and more proof, can you see her ? can you see her face. how do you know thats him? Thats not even denial thats challenging the evidence. Nice try...

If there was something behind " man mom always taught me" we would have heard about it by now. I also dont think not trusting a man for whatever reason would show up as a WA fear either. That doesnt even sound like a logical connection.
it wasnt her fear , she was drawing a line, "you cant do that to me" (as you have said before)" to me" and you cant leave.

Yep @Gemmie ! …. and my mind goes to which computers and hard drives to examine and where? What electronic devices? And where and when did it occur? Maybe there is an abundant cloud and storage of imagery (need a puke emoji here…. sorry) ….. that will bury those involved. SMH.

Sincere hope is that the seeming silence from the investigators is not due to inaction or inability for further possible charges and prosecutions. And that that proffer opportunity for JS is somehow involved. And SS’s parent’s actions need serious scrutiny IMO. MOO

I agree that she lied about mistrusting men.

Perhaps she realizes what some men are capable of in relationships and can be abusive to adults and children, but she did not shy away from men and certainly didn't protect herself or her daughter from a man who was both a slug and a predator.

In fact, she encouraged the situation by providing him living arrangements.

Right?!?! You'd have to pick most moms up off the floor after showing a photo like that. I wouldn't understand how the world could possibly still be turning after such devastating evidence - it would be a shock beyond all shocks, pain beyond pain.

Like it would have been better for SS. But what about MS? How about it would have been better if he never took advantage of the innocence of a child. For years on end.

yes, same self initiated interview! CS: "too bad he wasnt smart enough about the phone". unbelievable statement. CS turned over the thumb drives which IMO, clearly only turned it over because he wasnt sure if LE had evidence that thumb drive data existed elsewhere. well, SS phone had plenty, which he was told.

If CS opened any of those files on the thumb drive I would think it would have a last accessed date? If I recall correctly, CS claimed in the joint parental media interview he 'hovered the mouse' over the file(s) on the thumb drive but didnt open them. Im curious as to when those files were transferred to the thumb drive.

further, in their parental media interview, CS says it was weeks before LE came to retrieve the 'storage unit drive' and thumb drives (2). the LE docs say Kissimmee were notified by CS on April 11 he had evidence.... then they drove to Northport PD on April 12 to pick up the items CS provided. they then had to have a search warrant executed which was done on April 15 to review the data.

CS is so odd.....in this stop by interview he clearly was fishing and it appeared to me he was feigning surprise about the missing hard drive. also, to be absolutely enthralled with detective work, viewing 30 some thousand CSAM pics: 'thats amazing...did you have to see/view all 30,000?....how long does it take to do that?'
