It’s basically a longer version of what we’ve already seen, with each count for an act of abuse possessing a date and a general description of the act.

The later charges have a date range as they are for the *advertiser censored* aspect.

While you could be right, and I could be wrong... I'm reading this as "unlawful possession of materials depicting sexual performance by a child 10 or more (full stop or period)", and that the word Images simply means this performance, by a child of 10 or older, are found in images on the phone. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

A couple of callouts:

• Almost all of these counts are in summer (one in March)
  • It may have been the case that SS watched MS when school was out
• Nothing in 2020 or 2021
  • This would be consistent with the rumor (from SS's friends in the Grey Hughes vids) that SS and JS split up
  • It could also just be a COVID thing--if JS was unemployed or WFH at that time, SS would not have opportunity to be alone with MS as often

I see how it could be taken that way - however, they’ve all been labeled as “12-18” or “under 12,” so I think it is indeed saying, “10 or more images.” If it meant 10 or older I think they would say ‘older’ and not ‘more.’

I am really sorry if I have over reacted to your post,but I felt that using terms such as nicer or more compassionate than , perhaps unintentionally are undermining people who are looking at JS and questioning her involvement. They are just as nice and compassionate as those who feel JS has no involvement .

I think something I said may have been completely misunderstood?

I DO think those who are worried about JS , or who maintain she had no knowledge of the abuse/events of MS death, are nicer or have more compassion than me. I saw all of those new charges and my reaction was anger/disgust.

I noticed starting with Count 21*, some of the dates are through Feb 26, 2024. Could there be photos of MS death? Is this why LE was sure she was not longer alive?

Here's the actual phrasing:

State Attorney [...] CHARGES that STEPHAN MICHAEL STERNS, between the 2nd day of July, 2019 and the 26th day of February, 2024, did [...] knowingly possess any photograph [etc...] which in whole or in part, STEPHAN MICHAEL STERNS knows to include any sexual conduct by a child

My interpretation was that from 7/2/2019 to 2/26/2024 he was known to possess 10+ images of CSAM because 2/26/2024 was the date the images were found on his phone. Those might be images that were not produced with that phone, so they don't know when the images were knowingly possessed, other than after they were produced (7/2/2019) and before they were discovered (2/26/2024).

LE did not inform JS that they were confident MS was dead until the night of 2/29/2024 and did not inform the public until 3/1/2024, so I'd be shocked if they knew by 2/26/2024.

It seemed strange to me that when JS explained MS had forgotten her phone she added that there was no way to track her. Then she mentioned all the people searching for MS like it was enough and that gave me the impression that no additional help was needed in looking for her. Most times parents are begging for more help in searching for their loved ones. IMO it sounded like she didn't want her child to be found.JMO

my impression as well. IMO, traditionally, efforts and resources on behalf of LE are championed with gratitude and hope. it was an alarming statement to say she didnt think LE's search was going to 'find anything' during the searches of the surrounding areas where she was supposedly dropped off at. why would she be of that opinion, if she was abducted which is what she said she believed, that nothing would be found of value?

Wow. They sure found a treasure trove on his "accidentally factory reset" device, didn't they? What's sickening is that's 39 counts, likely of Maddie, when she was 10. UGH. The poor, poor child.

She was 8 in 2019 and then 11 in 2022 and 12 in 2023 ...no evidence from 2020 n 2021 when she was 9 n 10 ...this is so strange to stop start after two years like it was no big deal

I hope that SS is not an only child. Imagine having just one kid that not only fails to "launch" but also turns into a pedo stoner bum.

But if he had/has siblings then he would likely have nieces and nephews around he would probably try to victimize.

I think something I said may have been completely misunderstood?

I DO think those who are worried about JS , or who maintain she had no knowledge of the abuse/events of MS death, are nicer or have more compassion than me. I saw all of those new charges and my reaction was anger/disgust.

I'm NOT judging any of you who have the POV that JS is innocent, or who are worried about her.

I enjoy reading your posts ,so am happy to go for a misunderstanding.
