WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) *The killing of Makeva Jenkins, according to a CBS12 source close to the investigation, is the result of a murder-for-hire.
Euri Jenkins, Makeva's husband, and a second man Joevan Joseph, are both behind bars on charges of premeditated first degree murder.
It was an emotional day in court Friday as Euri Jenkins was denied bond for the murder of his wife Makeva Jenkins last June.

I always knew he was behind her murder. I just hope they can prove it.Jan19
The man investigators say*plotted to shoot and kill his wife in suburban Lake Worth*appeared in court Wednesday.
Euri Jenkins, 31, entered a not guilty plea to first-degree murder in the death of Makeva Jenkins.
We maintain that not*only*is he not guilty, hes innocent of these charges and that he is as much of a victim in this case as the family, said Gregg Lerman, Euri Jenkins's attorney.
Jenkins is expected back in court in April.

Records from the State Attorney’s Office show ongoing tension between the couple before Makeva’s killing. In May, Makeva reportedly told Euri that she wanted a divorce, but changed her mind after learning she was pregnant, according to a statement from a friend to investigators. A friend of Makeva’s also told investigators Euri wasn’t happy about her pregnancy.
Deputies had no idea who the masked man was until one of the witnesses inside the home at the time of shooting came forward. Records show in August, Dale told investigators he drove the shooter to the scene of the crime moments before it happened. Dale said 19-year-old Joevan Joseph was the one who pulled the trigger, according to the records from the State Attorney's Office.
According to public records, Dale wore a wire when Joseph told him Euri Jenkins gave him a gun and $1,500 two days before the crime. Joseph told detectives Euri once said he wanted to kill his wife, but that he didn’t help him.

Investigative records also show an ex-girlfriend told investigators Euri kissed her the day before Makeva’s murder, and that Jenkins showed no emotion after her death.
This guy is such a loser. I wonder how she even got involved with him. And I hope he gets additional charges for the baby.Makeva was pregnant and her husband knew it!
I was about to go to bed when I decided to check when the next court dates are and I found this article from February 7. The discovery docs are in the article. Click on the little full screen icon to bring the doc up in a new tab - that makes it easier to read. From the article:

Thank you so much for the link! I hope the testimonies and the "Game Plan" letter will seal Euri's fate as the mastermind of Makeva's murder. Clearly it was all about money. He may not have pulled the trigger but he set the murder in motion. What a waste, how could he do this to the children?
BBM I often wonder the same thing in cases like this. People who do something like this are very selfish and egotistical. They seem to think their lives are more valuable than anyone else's.Thank you so much for the link! Thank goodness that these criminals were stupid! MOO.
