I had thought it possible that the victims knew each other by sight, and may have known their killer(s) by sight too. Both from riding the bus, and just being in the neighborhood. jmo

IMPO circumstances point to the possibility that all 3 victims could have potentially known the shooter.
- Maybe the killer called each of them and asked them to meet?
-what kind of acquaintance could they have ALL had in common that WOULDN'T have been an easy connection to see--- a drug dealer perhaps?

Mitchell--- finish his midterm at the university at approx 8:15 and took a bus home, and MINUTES after he arrived home he told his aunt he was headed back out again... this is why

Just before 9 p.m., Yahrael Bey heard three pops outside. He dismissed them at first as fireworks. But when he looked out his front door, Bey saw Mitchell lying on the ground by the bus stop across the street"'

I mapped the routes both from his campus to his home and from his campus to ikea at the correct times and day of week, see ss attached...

It doesnt seem likely that he would have wasted twice the amount of time AND bus fare to go home and then head back out to go to ikea IN THE RAIN to escort some girl he liked....
-imp much more likely he got an unplanned call and went back out for some other reason

Monica----friend is supposed to pick her up from her home on wed the 11th, speaks to her on phone at approx 830, arrives shortly after and monica is not there. She is later found 1 block from her home

- why did she walk up the street to a vacant residential lot? We know she wasnt waiting for a bus. Friends said she was not her bubbly talkative self at work earlier and seemed scared.... maybe she just needed a fix?
-has history of drug abuse
-friend that was going to pick her up said she was talking loud as if she wanted someone to hear that they were on the way to pick her up.
-maybe she was meeting with her dealer and sensed something was wrong

Anthony Naroiba---chose to walk home the rest of the way instead of transferring to second bus (LE said he initially took the wrong bus).
-could he have gotten a call to meet someone?

For some reason, at about 7:40 p.m., he started walking instead, through the Southeast Seminole Heights neighborhood where police were out in force, searching for whoever was behind two shootings a week earlier. Naiboa made it about 14 blocks, to Conover Street, right in front of the home of shooting victim Benjamin Mitchell. A gunshot rang out. Even the cctv video of the suspect looks strange, imo.
LE say they do not know if the individual seen is black or white, male or female.
The POI certainly has a peculiar gait, imo. sort of wobbly as if/but not - wearing high heels- and almost seems to walk with one foot in front of the other, " model" style.

Your right about the way he walks. Sort of flat foot, pigeon toed.
But he runs like a runner. Track.

Every sport I've ever participated in emphasizes keeping your knees bent and loose, often bending slightly in the hips at the same time, like when shooting a free throw or serving in volleyball or tennis. Runners are supposed to keep their knees bent and be careful with their stride so they don't fully straighten.

I think this person must be an athlete.

He runs with the same momentum as a track runner.

Tipsters put names to 'person of interest' in Seminole Heights videos

Police have received nearly 500 tips about the video, which shows a blurry figure in a hooded sweatshirt whom police describe as a person of interest in the case, spokesman Steve Hegarty said.

"Many are very general," Hegarty said. "Some name individuals."

Hegarty would not provide any of the names.

Since the first of the three killings Oct. 9, police have received nearly 1,200 tips, Hegarty said. Because of the widespread coverage of the crimes, police have received information from around the country and even from outside the United States, Hegarty said.

Naiboa's father Casimar Naiboa said he believes someone has a recording of his son, too.

"There must be video of my son walking that might show someone walking behind him," Casimar Naiboa said. Police have not told him about any if they have them, he said.
"If someone has any video of my son, please come forward," he said.
Hegarty declined comment about whether police have video of the victims

Seminole Heights Shootings: Bus Videos Obtained In Investigation

Tampa police have received an "extensive amount of video" from the HART bus system as part of the investigation.

All three shooting victims rode HART buses. Benjamin Mitchell, 22, was waiting for a HART bus on North 15th Street at Frierson Avenue when he was shot and later died on Oct. 9. Anthony Naiboa, a former classmate of Mitchell at Middleton High School, was trying to catch a bus when he was killed walking north on 15th Street on Oct. 19. The body of Monica Hoffa, 32, was found about a mile away in a vacant lot on Oct. 13.

Six cameras are mounted inside all HART buses and would show passengers getting on or off, Sandra Morrison, a HART spokeswoman said Monday.

Since the shootings, HART has changed the Seminole Heights bus route. Route 9 now travels via 22nd Street from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to Hillsborough Avenue daily from 7 p.m. - 5 a.m. Morrison said the detour will remain until the investigation is resolved.

Police say they brought in two people who they believed might be the person in the video. They were questioned and later released.

Agree -- I think LE would have put it out as soon as they had something that was as clear & defined as possible. It could serve 2 purposes: Someone who knows him/her would report it, maybe more than one person; and if the perp saw his/her picture splashed out there, s/he might stop.

Yea you would think right. But LE still maintain the 3 didnt know eachother and hasnt even brought race or sexual preference into question that we know of. All were minority. And 2 of the 3 were big public supporters of the LGBT community. 2 of the 3 either had biracial parents or had been seen in a biracial relationship. 2 of the 3 had ties to the music community specifically rap. 2 of the 3 graduated from the same highschool. 2 of the 3 were either arrested for xanax or had pictures of 2mg xanax bars on their social media. 2 of the 3 regularly took the bus.

Late last week, detectives released new surveillance video of a person of interest in the case. The person has not been identified, but that day detectives received 144 tips. It's the highest number of tips they have received in a single day.

"People are still on edge a little, but we’re starting to get to a little bit of normalcy, which on some level is good and on some level we need to keep this fresh in our mind because the threat is still there."

On Facebook, neighbors said they are having some trouble getting pizza delivered in the area. We have reached out to Papa John's and we are waiting for a comment.

Looking ahead, Taste of the Heights is on Sunday. Zinder said about 1,000 people are expected to attend.

"We're going to attempt to have a lot of Uber drivers to drive people home in the neighborhood and all the volunteers in the area will help do that as well," Zinder said.
