I dont even look at his death that way-( he was already given one fricking chance- look what he did with that--- this should have been his sentence the first go round ) I look at it, like he finally, 16 years later, was given the sentence his crime BY LAW called for----tooooooo many years tooooo late

I look at it like that as well, but the best thing by far is he WONT be able to ever hurt anyone else, it took death to make that possible since he was a repeat offender who should have NEVER been let out to begin with!

I understand that too- just makes me sick he was ever given the second opportunity

It was a live presser that she gave her statement. They were giving out copies at the end, so I assume that someone will transcribe it and put it online.

Thank you Jaded! :)

From above link:

"I am not here to rejoice in a death, nor do I feel the need to justify our presence, as this ending represents a new beginning for us. Seventeen years is way too long to wait for justice, and without justice there is no closure. Closure is the time when we finally can close the door to the past; to the hell we have lived through, and begin recreating our heaven on earth. It is a time when all involved in this drama, from the ones who allowed it to happen to those it happened to, can forgive themselves, walk away, and begin anew."

Thanks RR.

Not another word about the situation with the deleted posts or timeouts will be forthcoming.

I respectfully ask that you reconsider deleting posts. Having missed that part of the thread, I would rather not inadvertantly start the trouble again. I do not want to cause trouble by re-opening old wounds. I apologize in advance if I'm out of bounds on this.

The world is a better place now that this evil monster is dead.

No no no, I stated I didn't have an opinion on the DP. I do not need to feel better about the killers pain. i agree with you that they should not be given a sedative. IMO, if we are going to have a DP I think the prisoner should die the way the victim did.

The impression I got from your post was that you were upset to some degree and feeling compassion towards the condemned. I was simply trying to help you avoid that, since in my opinion, it is unwarranted.

Some of you are just jumping all over people who don't agree with you. You are even jumping on people, ME, who offer no opinion but just want to come in and join the thread. Cool it.
( I know why so many lurkers never post.)

Since you are quoting me, I'll assume that that is directed my way.

I think if you look at my posts in this thread, that you will see that I have not jumped on anyone. I have disagreed with several posters, but I feel that my responses to their comments have been on-topic and to the point. I have explained my thoughts, linked where possible and tried to be courteous/cordial.

I should like to point out that I have not made disparaging remarks about others viewpoints, nor have I cast aspersions to anyone's character.

Frankly i'd like to see a little vigilantisim in some of these cases. Too bad it's illegal to see a wrong and right it on the spot.

I disagree one hundred percent. Too often the vigilantes have gotten the wrong man. I am in favor of letting the courts do it legally. I'd rather it not take sixteen years, but better that than the wrong man go down.

XComSuaddie,

Paul Gregory House is another who may be freed and allowed to live with his mother now that he is in a wheelchair. He raped and murdered a woman but we are supposed to feel sorry for him and trust that his mother will supervise him.

Many thanks. That illustrates my point exactly.
