The Walt Disney Company donates 1 million dollars to aid those affected by the Orlando shootings

“The Walt Disney Company has today announced a 1 million dollar donation to the OneOrlando Fund, established by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer to assist those affected by the tragic events in Orlando.

“We are heartbroken by this tragedy and hope our commitment will help those in the community affected by this senseless act,” said Bob Chapek, chairman, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. “With 74,000 Cast Members who call Orlando home, we mourn the loss of the victims and offer our condolences to their families, friends and loved ones.”

The OneOrlando Fund will provide funds and other services to individuals affected by the tragedy. You can read more about it at www.oneorlando.org.

Disney is also providing complimentary accommodations for the families and friends of the victims.​

One thing we do know is there was some planning the guy made. Its not like he just decided on that single day to do the shootings because he bought the AR about a week before. So there was some planning. And depending on how many scouting missions LE can determine may give them a hint how far back he was beginning to plan the attack.

they sure made him nutty! the steroids were for his immunity while on chemo.

he started to get like that again about a week after he was released from the hospital. he told his therapists who came to see him at home "idk why the f&^% you come here, you don't know me, you don't care about me" I told him he was acting strange again and that he was very rude to his therapists and he became very belligerent and yelled "idk why you keep saying im delusional! I feel great! I never felt better in my life!" well I took him back up to the hospital and had mental health paged again and they were able to convince him he had to up his meds. he was on psych meds until a week after the chemo cleared his body.

thankfully he is acting normal now. he is almost done w radiation.

Although I get what you are saying, anabolic steroids (for strength/performance) is different than a corticosteroids, used for treatments.

It's a tragedy that will not just affect the 100 immediate and extended families of the victims, but their friends, associates, co-workers, and neighbours. I think that, in addition, the organizations and communities that drew upon their talents, imaginations, enthusiasms, resources and good will are also going to be affected.

It also affects gay people around the world who are scared that they will be targeted. I have LGBT family and friends who don't know how to react. Should they be sad, fearful, or angry, or just go about their lives? Even Fox commentators are starting to call for bans on assault rifles, and Chick-Fil-A violated their own policy and opened on Sunday to donate food and drink for a blood drive....

One guy rejected him, so that could've been part of his motivation too, and I'm quite sure he was hiding it from his religious father.

I don't find it all that odd either. He pledged to ISIS, the other three terrorists he mentioned were American raised Jihadists that carried out high profile attacks. He saw them very similar, possibly even inspirational, even if technically they represented different factions.

Supposedly he mentioned Hezbollah years ago but that was because some cousins belong to the group.

I expect more of America. To see the interrogation the victim in the Turner nightmare was ugly in the year 2016. She was made to look like she provoked it and was a part of it. Perhaps she is not being detained physically, but for the time while she waited for the trial, I bet she felt plenty detained, And then those people sending out letters of what a prince he was and how HIS life would be ruined, I doubt if she felt validated.

If he had not been goven such a short sentence, no one would have known . She would have been just another victim asking for it.

I did. As a resident of MD and working in the nsa and working for westinghouse that had fun gov contracts to work on, I knew it was terrorist. My daughter was a student at meade high school, it sits a little over 2 miles from nsa, I was at the school and had my daughter out before the third plane hit the ground in Pa and the school being put on lock down. I knew it was terrorist.

I think we all knew it was some sort of hijacking, but I honestly did not think, specifically, any particular breed of hijacker at the time the second one hit. I was still reeling from the first being a small aircraft possibly going off course. Now when the third went down, it became very clear that it was a well coordinated attack, but my teens didn't put it together that day in school until they got home and we were inundated with 24/7 news, and investigation, and the replay of the horror of the buildings going down, and the planes hitting, over, and over.
