I came here to suggest her too. Though Namus says the UID had fine hair - I assume they mean texture. Behdokht seems to have had quite thick hair, hard to say what the texture is from the photos. Behdokht Behnia Pyke – The Charley Project

"2 skeletons found in South Dade field," Miami Herald, 12 December 1982, 4C.

Two fishermen found the skeletal remains of a man and woman in a South Dade field Saturday, Metro-Dade police said. Police believe they were murdered, but weren't able to immediately determine who they were or the cause of death.

The bodies were found at about 2 p.m. by two off-duty officers from Homestead Air Force Base who were "looking for a new fishing hole," Homicide Detective Shelton Merritt said.

The bodies were located near SW 296th Street and 97th Avenue. Darkness forced homicide detectives and a medical examiner to interrupt excavation of the area in search of clues, Merritt said.

"We suspect murder at this time, but it still has to go through the medical examiner before we can determine that," Merritt said. Evidence of gunshot wounds was found on both skeletons, he said, adding that the area is on a popular drug-trafficking route.

Darkness forced police to discontinue their digging for more evidence at the site. The only evidence found so far, Merritt said, was a water-resistant Pulsar alarm watch with a silver band and a black and gold face. Officers were expected to resume their search today.

Metro-Dade police say they are investigating a possible link between the slayings of an unidentified man and woman whose skeletons were found Saturday in South Dade and a copy of a "Dungeons and Dragons" game chart found near the remains.

"It has become like a cult," Homicide Detective Luis Dabalsa said.

"Right now it's just a theory" that the advanced-players chart discovered near the skeletons is a possible clue to the double homicide, Dabalsa said. "Anything we find on the scene or in the area is important."

Police say they want to talk with some of Miami's avid players of the game to determine whether any "Dungeons and Dragons" enthusiasts are missing. They also hope to learn whether any serious players might venture into remote areas to act out their adventures.

The game chart was found in a trash pile about 150 yards from the couples' bodies. It bore pictures of a dragon, a sword-wielding man in armor, a skull and treasure chest, and rules and procedures of the game.

The only other significant piece of evidence turned up by police was a Pulsar alarm watch, found on top of the man's skeleton. The watch, Dabalsa said, was running perfectly. It was set an hour ahead - probably on daylight savings time, which ended on Oct. 30th.

Everything fits Suzanne Schultz and Stephen Lund. Down to the 10 year age difference between female and male.

Suzanne Schultz contacted her family in July of 1979 from Tampa, Florida, where she was believed to be staying with a male companion, Stephen Craig Lund. She told her family that she would be returning home on August 4th but never returned home. Stephen told his family in Illinois that he'd be home on July 4th, but he never arrived.

The U-Haul trailer they were traveling in was found abandoned in Chicago, Illinois in September of 1979. Could it have been to transport/traffic drugs?

@mst Where are you finding this? Many of those address website things are not correct. His NAMUS was also updated within the past few years. I am not sure if that is correct but I’m happy to be proven wrong.

I received a reply from someone at the Dane County Sheriff’s Office that my tip was directly forwarded to Detective George Mayerhofer, the detective assigned to Suzanne’s case. He confirmed that he will now be looking into this possibility.

I finally received a reply from the detective assigned to Suzanne's MP case. If Stephen is alive and well and/or this doesn't turn out to be them, or even if it does, we might end up finding out relatively soon. When I mean relative even a year or so is short compared to how long they have been MIA. If they end up being on the list of exclusions, please let me know!

I understand why folks think he might be alive but why not let your family know for this many years? Why no contact? If he was in a halfway house of sorts and his name was on a comcast/internet contract or something could he just have continued to be registered without being at that location?

He already told his parents he was coming to see them in July. Suzanne told her family she would be home in August. So clearly they were in touch. Both never arrived home.

Why not just tell them you are gonna be away or off the grid. If his family still hasn't heard from him, I still think he is deceased and whatever happened to her happened to him also.

The detective is looking into this so maybe soon either they will be identified or listed as excluded.

Honestly, the details match up so well, I wonder if @othram could look into it.

Both were last seen in Florida, Stephen had drug issues with law enforcement, AND height and weight and everything matches them both. DOWN TO THE 10-YEAR AGE GAP between female and male.

If this isn't them, I'll eat my hat.


I would be shocked to find a better fit for possible identification, to be completely honest.
