Here is the property search result for this add:

Here is the tax records for this add: (The 1st link is now timing out for me and this link has the same information as far as names, just not the legal docs the 1st link has.)

It seems the home was recently sold last year after belonging to the same man for 21 years.
I can guarantee LE is going to have some questions for him.

And if that opening in the back yard is as accessible as it looks, somebody could have come on the property, opened the cover, and dropped a body in. It would only take a few minutes if you have a large pipe wrench to loosen the bolts on the lid.

From property records online, I believe the previous owner most likely rented this mobile home, before selling it to the current owners. His physical address is only .2 miles away from the home. I would guess LE will be looking into all the recent renters.

I imagine the bones would not be too old, would they? How quickly would a body disintegrate/fall apart under these conditions? Seems it would clog the septic quite quickly.

So I'm assuming the tank was pumped before this with no problems... so the body was placed more recently ?

And I highly doubt it was anything but foul play-- since inside a septic tank indicates that these remains were willfully concealed. No one wanders around and happens to fall into a s. tank.
:moo:

. . . and to add to the suspect list, the mobile home could have been rented to snowbirds, tired of those long, northern winters.

Hmmmm....
Did any pensioner or retiree go south for the winter and come back without their spouse/partner ? Someone who might not go missing on anyone's radar ?

Although I question the idea of some elderly dude (or old woman) having the strength to heave an adult corpse into the septic tank !

There was a 48 Hours program (I think it was 48Hrs.) about a lady who was a dog breeder and at some point dressed like her father .... lived in house and property willed to her -- and was murdered by persons' unknown and placed in her own septic. discovered a few years later, as I remember. Her skull was intact enough to ID her and determine cod.
Towards the end of her life-- she'd withdrawn somewhat from society--- and there was no one to report her missing.
No one knows what she was going through in her last days or even months ?
She'd possibly made some unsavory 'friends' out of loneliness ?

Sorry if I've gotten the facts all wrong ; it's been some time since I'd watched it.
Creepy, sad case.

How often a tank needs to be pumped varies quite a lot, mostly depending on how much stuff is flushed into it, and whether it's easy for the bacteria in the tank to digest. Lots of paper or food makes it clog up faster.

It's not usually pumped completely empty, so it would be possible for a body to be missed in an earlier pumping. The only way the pumper would notice is if part of the body clogged the hose. Like the way you vacuum behind the couch and find the dead bird your cat brought in...

A quick search and found quite a few septic tank murders. All seem to be female, maybe because they are smaller and easier to fit in the tank?
Just horrible, insult to injury. It must make for particularly unpleasant working environment for LE.
imo, speculation.
