In cases like these, she said, where the abused child is hospitalized, the department will put a custody hold on the child. That means he will not be released to the parents until the case is reviewed.
So if the child is abused but not hospitalized, s/he is returned to the parent. That makes no sense.
I think it means they won't even release the child to the father until they make sure he didn't participate or have prior knowledge AND satisfies DCW that the home is safe (kicking out step-mom if she's released from jail).
It sounds like she lost her temper and beat this baby up. But I agree, unless the father had little contact with his own child, it's weird he didn't know something was going on.
Has anyone heard how this little one is doing? In all the things I have read how can the father not know what the heck was going on with his own son..... and her eyes are soooo cold.
