FL - Sarah Boone, 42, charged with murdering boyfriend Jorge Torres, 42, by leaving him locked in suitcase, Winter Park, Feb 2020

I don't know what her childhood was - but in my mind, she is the kid who absolutely would not stop whining, crying, tantrum throwing, breath holding, incessantly asking why, why, why until her parents, teachers, siblings, whoever else in her orbit gave in to her demands, even if that meant it went on for hours or days.

IMO she's absolutely bonkers but not in the way that the court would require to explain she can't understand the crime she's alleged to have perpetrated or can't understand proceedings.

I think her particular type of problem comes under 'personality' issues as opposed to psychiatric disorders of the magnitude that mean a person is too unwell to be held culpable for their actions.

It seems to me that she's a) wanting to evade hearing the evidence against her at all costs; b) delaying the final sentence where she's going to be found guilty; c) comfortable and at ease in prison;

JMO MOO
Also d) gaming the system.

Does anyone know what the "Pretend Judge" thing is?

OK it's hard to describe insanity but here goes:

During SB's most recent court appearance (brought by Patricia Cashman, eighth attorney, who was filing her application to step off the case), SB told the Judge verbally that she was so unhappy with the way that PC communicates with her that she had introduced an imaginary character 'Pretend Judge' into all their interactions, in the hope that this would encourage PC to 'be nicer' to her and to listen to her more etc.

She fully wrote about this scenario in her 58 page letter which can be viewed on a link somewhere up thread, describing it as trying to find a solution to the problem of her attorney's 'snotty attitude', amongst other issues.

Some wise people have pointed out that as 'Pretend Judge' is in fact a figment of SB's imagination, then it's not really a solution as Pretend Judge is not an independent and fair non-biased character. This is probably why her *interesting* concept failed to browbeat PC into submission.

Her ex seemed like an average kind of bloke, too. I don't understand how he got with her!

Yep. pretend judge would be a projection of her narcissistic self.

I imagine she came across as “normal” at first…until she wasn’t. Can you imagine trying to break up with her? The tears, the rage, the phone calls, the LETTERS, the gaslighting him into believing he was at fault. ENDLESSLY. No way to escape. Poor man!

She claims she had to do that with the last attorney. Her claim is that she needed to create the “pretend Judge” in order to get the attorney to behave professionally by pretending said ethereal jurist was there, reminding her of the proper tone she ought to take with her client. I’m surprised she didn’t just deck her right there and run screaming from the room.

Man, no way. She would be a nightmare from the word go. Nothing like a romantic fling with someone who thinks they’re the sharpest knife in the drawer and loves to tell you about it. Oh, and there’s the free “help” she’ll provide you. Look what it did for George!
