Jh an alarming pedophile to say the least.

At 16 he was found to have child *advertiser censored* locked in a tackle box (who knows what age he started his collection)

24yo - JH is arrested for possessing and directing child *advertiser censored*, he was also charged with lewd and lascivious molestation of a 3yo.

24yo - JH was arrested for murdering Somer Thompson

My guess is that JH was on his way to becoming a serial child rapist/murderer. His pattern of escalation is beyond obvious - it was just a matter of time before his next victim. I am greatful that he was caught. MOO JMHO

I am grateful that he was caught too so he will never harm another child.

I am just disgusted that the child *advertiser censored* found when he was 16 was dismissed as a phase. Something should have been done about it then and maybe Somer would still be alive.

Since nothing was done about it, he went from looking at child *advertiser censored* to molesting a 3 year old to molesting and murdering a 7 year old. Who knows what else this has done that we don't know about.

It's too bad the initial reports said she was last seen at DeBarry and Gano. People were not looking in the right area.

If Somer was sexually battered, why did CCSO rule out RSOs so quickly?

(I apologize but I am reading Thread 1 and making comments in here!)

I'm really trying to find mention by someone on WS of the command center on October 19 -- I know it was set up by 10 because the news reports mention it but I'm reading what people posted in the hopes I can get a general time the command center was at OPAA.

News4Jax Video

Somer was missing 7 hours at this point. Jennifer Waugh is reporting from the command center and interviews Sheriff Beseler. He says Diena flagged down the police car "a little after 5" and Beseler asks people to look around for back pack and/or clothing that was described. He also says not to come where they are now (OPAA).

I know I'm wondering also! And the most chilling aspect is - he left to stay with his aunt in Mississippi. She reports he put up a website for her, didn't appear suspicious, was looking for a job, and life goes on as usual - he had just murdered a 7yo and threw her body in the garbage. We find out he is worried about his weight??? He is one ruthless pedophile who very well could have had other victims! moo mho

Dang, I finally found it. I knew I had read this.

In a news release issued about the girl's disappearance, the sheriff's office said Somer's mother was walking through her neighborhood looking for Somer when she flagged down a passing deputy and reported the 7-year-old child was missing.

http://www.gainesville.com/article/...Title=Amber-Alert-issued-for-Orange-Park-girl

She was retracing Somer's normal route according to the arrest report I posted earlier. I guess she could have been walking.

FWIW, the media refers to JH as Somer's neighbor ... which I would not do, based on how far apart they live. But that's because I live in Hinkeydink ... maybe a neighborhood in OP encompasses a bigger area.

I am glad that JH is going to be locked up. He apparently has no conscience as shown by his behavior after what he has done. He managed to stay in the house of the crime for at least 6 weeks, maybe longer. He had his precious diet pills. Maybe he thought he could slip through the bars.

But, I cannot judge him for eternity. He never had a chance. If you look at his upbringing, and who knows what all that involved, did he ever have a chance to grow up to be a normal human being? His "step father " marries his 8 year old sister with his mother's blessing. He is removed from her at age 3 and lives with the grandmother for a year. Then he lives with his possible biologic father. His mother manipulates and gets him back. He is taken out of school because of issues and is home schooled. Mother marries another man. Who knows what he was indoctrinated with? What he was taught as far as right and wrong?

I wonder if there is any involvement with the mother as the Sheriff said, "Them". Maybe it was just a slip of the tongue.

That's something I looked up and posted about a while back, after seeing some people say RSOs were ruled out. I thought it was odd because it seemed highly likely (to me) that Somer's murder involved a sex offense. So I looked it up.

What was ruled out was a specific group of about 180 RSOs. That was after LE interviewed them, searched their houses, etc. It sounded pretty extensive. Other RSOs weren't ruled out, unregistered SOs of course weren't ruled out, RSOs and SOs not in the area weren't ruled out. Just that one specific group of about 180 people.

Well, human, she is his alibi.

Does anyone know where AD went off to? Florida? Mississippi? Parts unknown? (Don't let it be Montana)

180 people ruled out two days after her body was found. (Found the quote by Mary Justino, October 23. Maybe only 90 at that point.)

They are fast.

Was there something found with Somer's body that CCSO linked to the killer and they were able to rule out anyone in that group of 90? What could it have been?

BBM.

I don't read that as anyone was ruled out. They interviewed them and found no evidence to name anyone a suspect. The only list they were scratched off was the list of RSO to be interviewed.

I think in this day and age and what evidence is needed to name a person a suspect she could have honestly said that knowing if they had found anything to name them a suspect they would be under arrest.

Something else just dawned on me.

Jerred Harrell was never named a suspect.

I think he was when he was charged.

ETA
Apparently responding to criticism that police had not picked up Harrell earlier, Beseler said the suspect "did not come onto anyone's radar screen as someone who would commit a crime like this.

I believe all of that was said was after the arrest of him on the murder charge and then the official term for him would be the accused or another legal term..

I am wondering some things and hope that it is OK. On the Shaniya Davis case, Mother's family was extensively discussed, so I hope that I can discuss the JH family

1. A neighbor said that she saw JH move out Dec. 1. I wonder where he went? He didn't go to Mississippi until Jan.

2. I wonder about the utilities-water and electricity at the Gano house. When researching legal documents , it appears that JH's mother and step father are in financial straits. I cannot believe that they had the money to pay for utilities at the Gano house after they moved out in the beginning of Oct. I can't see that JH would have money to pay for them either.

So, do people think that there was water and electricity in that house after the parents moved out?

3. The mother and step father were involved with ham radio and rescue operations. If JH went to his mother's right after he murdered, I am sure that his mother knew all about the missing child and would have somehow been involved in the search operation. I wonder if she suspected JH?

4. JH must have nerves of steel. The LE operation was set up at OPAA right across the street from his house. Then a few days later they search 1080 Gano.

In the beginning there were dogs and a million people looking. But, apparently he didn't even flinch. No conscience? What? Wouldn't even the most stupid of people high tail it out of there?

Or was he getting advice to stay put so he wouldn't look suspicious?

Remember that statement the police put out about what to look for in someone who might have done the crime? Maybe he read that and thought it was better not to run.

I guess he'll remain a suspect until the day he is convicted or found innocent.

ETA
Read Doc's post above. The accused ... and maybe the alleged killer, alleged perp, alleged suspect? Probably something different ... but if I see it, I'll let you know.

I know here if you don't owe the electric company any money they have to hook you up. I don't know how it is in florida.
