BeliMom,

I am all over the place myself. I am now between sketchy stick Man, these 4 perps and the RSO WLK - sheesh.

Okay, now if we go back to when he was the stick man - he spoke mainly of being a grandfather didn't he??? IS IT REALLY THE SAME PERSON though?

Have we determined this???

Regarding DT's sister. Her husband's brother may be married to a black woman. Gives her a black nephew.

I don't think these 4 men committed the armed robbery at DT's house. I think they were there to be supportive, and probably had arrest warrants from a robbery previously.

or 4 m3en had guns on them, relatives, wanted something.......family fight.......someone called 911 and called it robbery with guns but family left them in and being out of town stayed there and saw $$$$ coming in???
I'm going to try to sleuth each one of them.........

Dear mods,
IMO, we need a forum now for dear SOMER'S case!

Hey guys, we need to take DT name off this forum - I think even though he is in the news, he could google his own name and find that we think he is a weirdo!!! I used stars to blot out his name!!

Far-fetched possibility: in the landfill a couple of days (per Sheriff). What if she didn't go the normal route (trucks) but was dumped there directly. Perhaps cellphone pings led them to the area. This is not what has been released so it could be wrong. Just a thought, though. Finding a small child that quickly is just really fast, especially when they didn't know if she was dead yet. A normal assumption would be that someone had taken her away from the neighborhood, so why be so focused early on with the garbage/landfill? If it was a "hunch", it was a lucky one.

Regarding the four men arrested: who said nephew early on? When DT paused and said for all I know it could be my...? Now someone is just connecting the dots and possible relation to one of those men. But who said "nephew" awhile back?

I know they had dogs searching almost immediately...perhaps they tracked her scent to a dumpster and LE ran with that. Would make sense.

There is NO WAY I am going to call somebody else obsessed with this case.

Pot and kettle and all that.

:D

Remember in the Idaho Groene case when everyone was focused on the killer/kidnapper being someone who was owed a drug debt? Then it turns out to be Duncan, a repeat sex offender who out driving around in another state, decides to choose that family.

For what it's worth, when I created Who's Who for other cases here on WS, I could use first and last names if they appeared in mainstream media and were adults. If their name was "outed" by someone else, I used first name, last initial, and with minors, always just initials.

This guy put himself out there by (IMO) being first in line at her funeral and answering reporters questions.

I did edit my post but I'm not sure I had to.

ETA: Maybe a moderator could weigh in on this.

"locked casket"
hm..never heard of a locked casket...
do we think LE told Somer's mom the details of the investigation and what the autopsy revealed or not telling her anything just in case it gets leaked?

From personal experience, the casket is locked after family has had last opportunity to say goodbyes.

It's not unusual at all. At least not in my personal experience.

ETA: In this case, it might have been done because there are true nuts out there who would try to open the casket.

same initials as Somer's mom....boy will this confuse the heck out of me...LOL...if he googles his name, he will see the wild apes...LOL...I see he is being talked about at other places....o it's not just me, thank God.....I thought I was loosing it....

I thought they were sealed? You know, so gas and stuff doesn't leak out into the ground and contaminate it. Gross i know but that's what I thought.

Am I missing something about this DT? It seems like it's all basically the same article or two.

FYI Father was seated in a nearby pew at the funeral service.

At the request of investigators, the casket was closed at a viewing Monday evening at First Baptist Church of Orange Park.

Memorial held for Somer

The bold is mine. I didn't realize that investigators had requested this. I would think the funeral home would suggest it or the family would request it ... but investigators?

There is something they don't want us to see?

For two reasons, LE doesn't want post mortem photos of this child out there, which could happen if the casket were open. Second, LE and funeral workers are the only ones that have seen her body, which was possibly why LE suggested it. They also didn't say who they made the request to, it could have been made by LE to Diena, and she made the decision to keep it closed casket.
I think there is one thing they don't want us to see, which is that if she came off a truck, she was put through the truck's crusher. I don't see the funeral directors being able to counteract those effects.

BBM

Thank you....I've made 2 posts along this line and for the life of me could not recall those two words. Was really tired of going through the alphabet lol.

About these four guys....what I'm thinking is they were at the house already for support or whatever reason. LE was there, wanted to get their names for investigative purposes, and found out all four were wanted for an armed robbery in another state.
That would explain the mass arrest AND the no bond because they would be being held for another agency to pick up.
