Helen Allison appears to have been significantly near-sighted based on the lens of her eyeglasses, so she probably had to wear her glasses all day. The people who knew "Janice" before she died didn't mention anything about her wearing glasses.

Was just coming here to suggest Helen after seeing her on CP today, but I see you guys are already on it! I have some misgivings about her as a possible match, but she definitely caught my eye.

I never worked on this one much but I always wondered about this girl. I'm curious to see who she was.

Wow. Glad she has finally been identified. I hope we find out her real name.

I just clicked on the UID's NamUs link and received a permission error, which usually means they are identified.

It is Janice Marie Young per NCMEC. RIP Janice. :( I'm glad you're finally back home.

Awwww. I wonder if the "Bromke" was actually "Brock" spelled in flowery or scribbled writing. I'm so glad she's finally IDd. Thinking of her family at this time.

I just posted this on another thread for her. Welcome home Janice.

This is a case I've followed closely. I'm really happy to see she's been identified. Hopefully, I'll be able to say the same thing for Delta Dawn soon.

So glad she's been identified. Rest in peace, Janice.

So I would never have visually matched Janice to the NCMEC recon, but her brother obviously saw a resemblance. Makes me wonder if their artist interpretations (which I often think seem off the mark) are more accurate than I thought. I'm glad she has her name back!

I am absolutely thrilled that she has been identified; I'm so glad she can finally go home to her family--it's been way too long.

It could have been solved quickly...they had the correct name, and she was from these places.
