I do see resemblance. The only problem giving me hold is that Jennifer is biracial. It's very possible the suspect may have kept her alive for a while after she disappeared, though I'm not sure how probable. I've seen stranger things happen though.

The resemblance between Jennifer and TG is surprising, personally I feel that TG was not 100% white (when I saw the reconstruction I have always thought that she was Hispanic or Asian or Biracial)

I could definitely see Jennifer as a possibility and think she should definitely be looked at considering the distance. We’ve found out Tinze Huels also missing from Hillsborough County isn’t a match. I think we should eliminate all possible local cases

Exact! Jennifer Marteliz having gone missing in Hillsborough County automatically makes her a possible match for Jane Doe.

I searched for MP's from Mississippi, Georgia and Alabama and found three cases, though the third will be in a seperate.
MP20555 - Nerissa Franklin

Distance is a bit far, but she's believed to have ran away and from other cases I've seen, they can travel far in not much time, usually by hitchhiking.

MP3928 - Catrina Renee Jackson

Catrina was last seen in Sylvania, Georgia, which is 384 miles away. Her case is classified as a Non-Family Abduction despite the fact that very little details are available in her case.

Mary's ran away from her home in Rockford, Alabama in Summer 1984, though her last known contact with police was in August 1985. She is believed to have travelled to either Texas or Florida after this.

I wouldn’t base all of our matches just based on how closely they resemble Tampa Girl’s facial reconstruction. Remember, only a skull was found. We don’t even know if they have her mandible or not. If they only found a skull with no mandible, facial approximations have to be made in these recons and they aren’t always 100% accurate, as seen in the case of Linda Pagano who had her bottom jaw removed from her remains by whoever killed her to hinder identification.

Mary Burnette seems like a good match, I haven’t heard about my Lisa Sexton possibility and I personally think she’s a great match. She was last known to be the Tampa area of Florida in 1984, three years after she ran away from her home in Elyria, Ohio in 1981.

Do we know what they based the year estimate on? I remember reading in an older article that one of the local ME’s maybe Pinellas kept the unidentified skeletal remains in boxes in a storage room. I was wondering if that date was conclusive or if she could be much older.

I doubt she’s much older. Wisdom teeth descending usually happens late teens. If they think she is 11-15ish, I bet her teeth were one of the clues to her age.

Oh I see what you mean now. On page 3 of this thread there is some discussion about the date the remains were found. There were 2 different counties listed but there is no clarity as to why.

Many questions with this child that I hope can be solved soon. There's lots of interest and I hope that means genetic genealogy is on the radar.

I believe you are right in that Tampa Girl died sometime in the 1970s- 1980s. I believe if she’s not a missing girl listed in the National Missing Persons Registry, she’s a still-missing runaway from the 70s-80s who got purged from the missing persons system once she turned 18 which unfortunately happened a lot back in those days. Either that or her file was lost/destroyed.

If TG was indeed found at some point between 1991-1995, this would make sense because if she disappeared/died in the 70s/80s she probably would’ve been 18 by the time the remains were found and her file might’ve been gone. Especially if she’s a runaway.

I full heartedly believe this case might end with us finding out about a young girl who’s case was lost/neglected years ago and then they’ll have an unsolved homicide on their hands with little to no information.

This is why I’m hoping every and all suggestions on here get checked out. We’ve been able to eliminate some very promising possibilities. Andrea Durham, Martha Lambert, Tinze Huels, Averie Evans, etc.

We need to rule out that Tampa Girl is the lost remains of a missing girl that we still know is missing. Essentially the ones who are listed as such in the list @SimsGuy67 created.
