Not sure if my information solved the case or if they got the information around the same time...At any rate glad Jane was named and the suspect in custody...

Now that he is arrested I can post the links I sent to Detective Norris Monday night...The first link...(Her main facebook page) was no longer attainable as of Tuesday evening)...From her second fb page named Jane Wever I found J.R. Penrod was listed as a friend..so it connected that the missing Aunt Jane mentioned on Topix and Martha Jane Wever were one and the same..

This is an excellent catch. From the timing, it's just about guaranteed that Classito identified Ms. Wever. As a direct result of that (timely) identification, her possible killer is in jail and facing trial on murder charges. Righteously done.

I doubt Ms. Jane has ever been in the Panhandle other than passing through...A people search shows she has resided in a few places in FL, all in the same general area, and none in the Panhandle. She was originally from Coldwater MI..

More than two years after his arrest, the murder trial of Ralph Penrod, 65, is set to begin in Sumpter County (Florida) Circuit Court Monday for the death of Martha "Jane" Sturtz Wever...

Magrino said Penrod shot his 57-year-old friend and left her body in a wooded area as part of a scheme to cash her pension checks. Penrod continued to receive Wever's late husband’s $1,200 monthly military pension checks and cash them until his arrest in January 2014.

Defense lawyer Christopher Smith gave an abbreviated opening argument Tuesday – only saying there was a lack of evidence against Penrod. During cross examination of Magrino’s witnesses, he questioned some of Weaver’s friends if they ever saw the defendant mistreat Weaver.

None testified so and they also said they never heard Weaver say she felt Penrod was taking advantage of her.

After almost six hours of deliberation Thursday, a Sumter County (Florida) jury found Ralph Penrod guilty of second-degree murder with a firearm in the death of lifelong friend Mary Jane Wever...

Penrod will be sentenced at a later date. Although the first-degree murder charge was reduced to second-degree by Assistant State Attorney Pete Magrino, he still faces life in prison because he used a firearm to kill the woman, authorities said.

I believe this is a FL woman that may or may not have been reported missing to authorities. A search for a missing FL woman named Jane brought me to a topix post in ??. Someone posted about their aunt not being heard from since she left FL to move with two men in late March. From the information given on the post I was able to search FB and find her pages and noticed she fit the description...as well as a missing person page in her name

The topix post was made Dec 8th...about 9 months after they had last heard from her and this woman's body was found. I do not think they contacted or knew how to contact authorities about their aunt..Or maybe felt they would be intruding on their aunt if they did but were still worried so made a post and a missing page on fb.

I notified investigators via email yesterday of the possible match with the links to her FB page and the Topix post as well as other connected links. I am newly registered and not positive on what I can and cannot post yet or what may interfere with investigation. I am posting the missing fb page of the person but unsure about posting the topix link and other details I found as it may interfere with investigation in the case.

I was just watching the Who Killed Jane Doe episode regarding Martha Jane Wever. They indicated that the tip came in from Martha Jane's friends on on 9-Nov-2013 connecting her to the Jane Doe. This was prior to Classito's call-in. So we can't call this a WS match. I am switching the flag back to Identified
