I shall wait until there is a "connection" to NL for those additional names in post #872. Or should I go ahead and add them on??

What do you think?

Hi Niner, you might add Thomas Rauschkolb to the list the next time you update it. His father participated in the meeting of the families who came together in Grenoble. He has many questions about his son's disapperance and death and he is getting no answers. It is unclear if the case is still open or shelved.

BTW if you keep going at this rate, you may end up with the most comprehensive list of missing persons & unclarified deaths in the wider Chambéry region!

:yourock:

Thanks ZaZara!

Okay - I'm out the door to get my massage!! :summer: So will put that guy you mentioned on my list - I will put him in the category of "Family wants investigation".

:seeya:

Revised list -

Nordahl Lelandais in April 2001, he joined the 132nd dog battalion of Suippes (Marne). He had enlisted for five years, he only lasted four, and was struck off in April 2005. Re another article says: He will have had time to obtain a basic certificate of dog handler, to perform two missions of four month was stationed in Suippes (Marne), in the 132nd Army Dog Battalion, between

2002 and 2007
.

The ex-military is "noticed" in October 2008, with two accomplices, engaging in a battle of eggs and fruits in a supermarket, by burning tricolor flags, and a restaurant in Paladru (Isère). He will be sentenced to one year in prison, but received a sentence adjustment. Under an electronic bracelet starting April 2009. He was released on parole in October 2010.
Per Twitter reporter: He was never effectively in prison, he 'served' 12 months with an ankle bracelet (April 2009 to April 2010). Reporter: Le Midi Libre published an article with the testimony of a friend of Lelandais. He tells that the latter regularly came to Montpellier to party between 2008 and 2012.
Wondering "what" day he was released from ankle bracelet, as Adrien Fiorello was killed; was he anxious to kill again on the 6th?

Estelle Mouzin, 9, disappeared on 9 January 2003 in Guermantes (Seine-et-Marne), around 6 pm between her house and her school. Nordahl Lelandais was 19 years old, he was at the military camp of Suippes (Marne), 150 kilometers away but was sent on a mission to the East at the time of the disappearance. In the Estelle Mouzin case, it was enough for the investigators to question the army to learn that he was on a mission in Guyana at the time of the
girl's disappearance in 2003 in Seine-et-Marne. Excluded: File is closed.

Nordahl started his dog training business in Chambéry in February 2010, business can be placed near the Chambéry train station starting in 2010. According to Google Maps, it is only 550 meters away: a 7 minute walk, or a 3 minute drive. The Chambéry train station was said to be the last location where Adrien Fiorello's phone pinged. The head office of this company was located 317 rue Nicolas Parent - 73000 Chambery

In 2010, Nordahl Lalandais:

was in prison from .... to ... (not in prison, on ankle monitor)
was somewhere with an ankle monitor from April 2009 to April 2010
registered the start of his dog training company in Chambéry in February 2010
became depressed and passed a while in the psychiatric hospital in Chambéry OR
was an out-patient from ... to ... ?

Rachid Rameche, disappeared in 2009 June, in Bassens (Savoie) while he was in a psychiatric institution. He might have been in the same institution as Lucie Roux, in Bassens. Request from family to investigate.

Coralie Moussu - the autopsy of the body of the 32-year-old woman, found in the Rhône in December, reveals that she did not drown. The investigators are back to square one and are now focusing on the criminal track. Coralie Moussu's car, a black Nissan Micra with 2899 YZ 30 registration. The young woman was last seen inside this vehicle on the morning of November 6,2009. She had just dropped her daughter off at her mother's house for two hours, while she was preparing the exam to take a CAP [Certificate of Professional Competence] early childhood.

Nicolas Suppo, 30 years old, disappeared on 15 September 2010 near Echirolles. He disappeared during his lunch break. His coworkers saw him at work in the morning. Earlier: Probably not a suspect; same region as NL; preliminary investigation. Now on list of: possible link; verification under way.

Adrien Fiorello, a 22-year-old student who disappeared on 6 October 2010 in Firminy (Loire) while he was on his way to the university in Chambéry (savoie). The young man's cell phone last pinged in Chambéry (train station) at 5:37 p.m. on October 6, 2010. We don't know if it was ever physically located. Chambéry is where Nordahl Lelandais had a dog breeding business at that time. He was supposed to be in Saint-Étienne, not Chambéry, the day he vanished. Saint-
Étienne is where he went to university classes. How his phone ended up in Chambéry is still a mystery. The two cities are about 150 kilometers apart. Possible link, verification under way.

Nelly Balmain was 29 when she leaves the family home of Saint-Jean-en-Royans (Drôme) on a scooter, without reappearing. She disappears on 8 August 2011. Earlier: Verification in progress; request from family to investigate.

Jean-Christophe Morin, 23, disappeared on 9-10 September 2011 during an electro party at Tamié Fort in Albertville (Savoie). Possible link; verification under way.

Kévin Fauvel, 27, on the night of 1-2 April 2012, left the community of Jansiac, located in Châteauneuf-Miravail, in the Jabron Valley. Since then, his family has no news.

Malik Boutvillain, 32, disappeared on 6 May 2012 in Echirolles (Isère). He was out jogging. Earlier: Probably not a suspect; same region as NL; preliminary investigation. New on list of: possible suspect; verification under way.

Hugo Raffi, 28 years old missing from Albertville since 15 June 2012.

Ahmed Hamadou, 45, disappeared in 7-8 September 2012 at Fort Tamié (Savoie). According to this 2012 article Yan and Ahmed (who knew each other since one week) arrived together in the car at 4am, then Yan got into two fights with the festival security, lost his cell phone and broke his glasses. He left quite hurriedly alone in his car, leaving Ahmed behind (4 witnesses confirm this). He arrived at a friend's place at 6am, telling him he went to the gendarmerie (for his
cell phone?). They tried to call Ahmed but could not reach him. Then Yan left and disappeared for 15 days. Possible link; verification under way.

Lucie Roux, 43, disappears on 16 September 2012 while residing in the psychiatric centre in Bassens in Chambéry (Savoie). Request from family to investigate.

Florent Bonnet, 37 years old, who disappeared on 18 January 2014 in Bourg-Saint-Maurice (Savoie). He was on a motorcycle and his two-wheeler was found near the Siaix tunnel, with a helmet on it. Probably not a victim of NL. Request from family to investigate.

Eve Monteil, 49 years old, on 25 August 2014, in Bourg-en-Bresse (Ain).

Lucas Tronche, then 15 years old, had disappeared on 18 March 2015, at 5:15 p. m., when he was on his way to a bus stop in the commune of Bagnols-sur-Cèze. Possible link; verification under way.

Nordine Seghiri, 49, disappeared on 10 July 2015 from a hospital in Chambéry (Savoie). Request from family to investigate.

Thomas Rauschkolb: Sunday (December 27, 2015) around 4:50 p.m., the father of an 18-year-old man contacted the gendarmes to report the disappearance of his son. The latter was last seen around 2:30 a.m., during the night from Saturday to Sunday while leaving the "Studio 54" nightclub in Grésy-sur-Aix. The young man left the nightclub, leaving behind his jacket. The
gendarmes immediately established a search perimeter around the nightclub, especially to the bridge that spans the Sierroz at this location." Thomas R.'s body was found the next day, in the river. Grésy-sur-Aix is about 25 minutes north of Chambéry, by car. Curious fact: after leaving the nightclub, he takes the opposite direction and follows a dead end passageway. At the end of this alley, he stepped over a fence as he was maybe trying to escape something. In his race, he looses a shoe and falls 14 meters below. His belt was found caught in the grid on the garden side. Why has he taken off his belt? There were marks on his phalanges. As Jean-Christophe Morin, he seemed afraid of someone. Request from family to investigate.

Anne-Charlotte Poncin, 30 years old, disappeared on 5 January 2016 in Ambérieu-en-Bugey (Ain). In the morning, she leaves her home to go downtown for work. Request from family to investigate

Antoine Zoia, 16-year-old teenager has not been found since 1 March 2016. He disappeared in Clarensac, near Nîmes, also in the Gard, during a stroll during which he had to go to a tobacco store. Possible link; verification under way.

Ilhan Sahingoz, 39 years old missing from Albertville since 11 April 2016.

Olivier Charpe, 59, never returned from a mountain bike ride on 12 August 2016 in Saint-Romans (Isère).

Georgette Amat Chantoux (Georgette Bonnet), 79 years old, residing in Lumbin. She was reported missing in October 2016, but her phone had not been active since 9 September 2016. Georgette lived alone and had little contact with her family. According to the neighbours, she used go to the mountains to pick blueberries (not mushrooms) in the Belledonne Massif. Het car was found there, in a parking lot. It had been there for weeks. "In the Bonnet case, the only reason for the reopening of the investigation is the geographical proximity (a distance of about 15 kilometers) between the area of [her] ??disappearance and the places of discovery of Arthur Noyer's bones, in Montmélian, of which Nordahl Lelandais is suspected of murder." Earlier: Probably not suspect; same region as NL; preliminary investigation. Now on list of: possible link; verification under way.

Éric Foray, 47, disappeared on 16 September 2016, shortly after noon, after he had recently done some shopping in Chatuzange-le-Goubet (Drôme). Request from family to investigate.

Arthur Noyer, 23 years old, disappeared in 11-12 April 2017 in Chambéry. The night of the young soldier's disappearance, the mobile phones of Lelandais and the corporal triggered several relays in the Chambéry region at the same time. This supports the thesis that both men were traveling in the same car, namely the Audi A3 from Lelandais. The vehicle was filmed by a video surveillance camera in Chambéry. Arthur Noyer disappeared as he hitchhiked around 4 a. m. to get back to his barracks after a night spent in a disco. The investigators said he got into
Nordahl Lelandeis' car. 12/20/17 indicted for this murder.

Adrien Mourialmé, 24 years old, disappeared in 5 July 2017 on the shores of Lake Annecy (Haute-Savoie). The young man disappeared without taking his belongings. His bank account and phone have not been active since July 4th. He left most of his belongings at the hotel where he was working as a cook in Talloires-Montmin (Haute-Savoie), and vanished. 2/24/18: The study of telephony, in the case of the young cook, is completed. Paris Match has learned that it has given nothing. "Nor does it mean that Nordahl Lelandais was not on the scene," said Belgian family lawyer Stéphane Decamp. He could have turned off his phone well before the fact. Mr. Decamp hopes that the investigation will not be abandoned, despite this element."Possible link; verification under way.

Maëlys De Araujo, 9 years old, disappeared at Pont-de-Beauvoisin in 27 August 2017. Indicted for this murder; 2/14/18 confessed to killing Maëlys "accidentally".

DISAPPEARANCE OF LUCAS TRONCHE: VERIFICATION OF MOBILE DATA RULES OUT NORDAHL LELANDAIS

Objectif Gard
http://www.objectifgard.com/2018/02/26/bagnols-disparition-de-lucas-nordahl-lelandais-hors-de-cause/

A few weeks ago, checks on the telephone and bank accounts of Nordahl Lelandais were to be carried out in connection with the disappearance of Lucas Tronche in Bagnols-sur-Cèze. Indeed, as we revealed at the end of December, the suspect has family in the Gard, not far from Bagnols.

This week, we learn from our Ebdo colleagues that no link on the telephony side can be connected to Nordahl Lelandais in Lucas' disappearance.

Indeed, the new weekly news magazine has taken an interest in this case as part of a complete file devoted to unexplained disappearances each year in France. In its investigation, it reveals that the Central Office for the Suppression of Violence against Persons (OCRVP) has ordered a copy of the traffic of all French telephone towers from telephone operators. A mass of data that locates all French phones over a 24-hour period.

These data allowed Nordahl Lelandais to be ruled out in Lucas Tronche's disappearance. The phone of Lelandais was located in Isère on the day of the teenager's disappearance in the Gard.

This means that the French LE now also has all data of moblie traffic on the day that Lucas disappeared in his area. Let's keep our fingers crossed that they find other clues.

I've made a note on Lucas re no connection.

Thanks for the update ZaZara!

edited to add: I'm guessing there is no update on "when" NL will be back in front of the judges??

Nothing new so far. Even the most recent articles say that "as he is on heavy medication" NL is not able to answer questions.

:boohoo:

At least he's where he belongs! :jail:
He has it too good, though. He belongs in a 2' X 1' X 4' steel cage, partially submerged in ice-cold raw sewage.

DISAPPEARANCE OF LUCAS TRONCHE: INVESTGATIONS INTO POSSIBLE LINK WITH NORDAHL LELANDAIS CONTINUE

20Minutes
https://www.20minutes.fr/faits_dive...tronche-police-ecarte-piste-nordahl-lelandais

According to the regional newspaper [ Midi Libre ], the investigators tried to find out if Nordahl Lelandais' phone pinged in the department on the day of the teenager's disappearance, when he was supposed to go to a swimming pool with his brother. And according to the regional daily newspaper, the mobile phone data indicated the presence of the alleged killer of Maëlys in Isère that day.

But according to 20 Minutes' information, gathered from the SRPJ in Montpellier at 5:30 p. m., the trail would not be closed and investigations would continue. "There is no objective element to bring the track of Nordahl Lelandais closer to the disappearance of Lucas Tronche," the SRPJ notes. "Nevertheless, we are continuing to investigate in order to establish possible connections. We can't completely rule out a lead."

There were suspicions about the 34 year old former soldier, as he had a relative in Bagnols-sur-Cèze, another in the department, and knew Montpellier very well, he went there to party regularly in the bars and discotheques of the area.

Wikipedia has a page about the disappearance of Lucas Tronche, in French and in English.

Lucas did NOT disappear on the way to the bus stop, or at the bus stop. His elder brother was already waiting there and boarded the bus without Lucas.

At 5.10 pm on Wednesday 18 March 2015, Lucas had planned to go on his kick scooter to a bus stop, where he would take a coach to the public swimming pool in Laudun-l’Ardoise for swimming practice with his 17-year-old brother, Valentin.[2] Valentin left before Lucas, expecting Lucas to join him at the bus stop. Lucas left the family home and locked the door but did not turn up at the bus stop. Valentin attempted to contact Lucas at around 5.30 pm, but Lucas’s mobile phone was switched off. Technical analysis would later reveal that Lucas’s phone was turned off at 5.14 pm, a few minutes before he left the house. Lucas left without his swimming gear, but did leave with a rucksack containing very few items. He did not take any money, a sleeping bag or a knife with him – items that, as a keen scout with a good knowledge of outdoor survival, he would have known to take if he had been planning to leave home. His intentions after leaving the house remain unknown.

Lucas would have been seen walking in the opposite direction from the bus stop by several witnesses on the day he disappeared. There would also have been later sightings.

On 1 March 2016, almost a year after Lucas’s disappearance, in Clarensac, a village 62 km (38 miles) from Bagnols-sur-Cèze, 16-year-old Antoine Zola disappeared after leaving his home at around 1.30 pm. Antoine was a second-year high school student majoring in Science at the Lycée Albert Camus in Nîmes and his personality is considered similar to Lucas’s. Antoine was last seen buying a packet of cigarettes from a tobacconist’s shop. His whereabouts remain unknown and all lines of investigation are being considered. An investigation was launched to establish whether there could be a link between these two disappearances of teenage boys with similar characteristics from nearby locations in under a year.[10]

Maëlys' clothes, precious clues for the investigators

"The clothes of the child found with her skeleton are currently the object of very advanced analyses.

A tattered white dress, soiled by time, a bra, more underwear that could be panties, and a sandal still in good condition. These are the crucial elements which, according to our information, the gendarmes now have. To this must be added the skeleton of the child, almost complete with the exception of an arm bone and a foot. All these elements, discovered on February 14 and 15 on the slopes of Mont Grèle at Attignat-Oncin (Savoie), are now under seal, valuable clues in this investigation."

"In recent days, forensic pathologists, as well as anthropologists and odontologists of the Criminal Investigation Institute of the National Gendarmerie (IRCGN) have been given the task of understanding the circumstances and determining the causes Maëlys De Araujo's death.

Today, the fiber-to-fiber treatment of garments makes it possible to find biological traces still invisible a few years ago. A tedious job that can "track down the trace that can tip an investigation." They will eventually find genetic marks on the outside or inside of the dress. The sandal, and its sole in particular, could also give indications on the places where the girl was that night. "A sole is like a vacuum cleaner. It retains the memory of your journey. We can know where you went," sums up a source. As for the discovery of the underwear, it is not known whether the child was wearing it or not when her body was placed in the forest."

http://www.leparisien.fr/faits-dive...es-pour-les-enqueteurs-01-03-2018-7585692.php

"As for the body, it will be X-rayed and scanned. Forensic doctors therefore have concrete elements that will be able to speak, perhaps reveal injuries on the bones of the child, attesting to a notch or a blow carried by a blade or a tool [...]

A microtrace of the child's blood had been found by the gendarmes in the trunk of [Lelandais'] car. DNA that had resisted the insistent cleaning of Nordahl Lelandais' Audi and trunk. Further morphoanalysis of these traces could eventually determine whether the child was bleeding or not when she was placed in the trunk".

MAËLYS CASE: EXPERTS STUDY HER CLOTHES

Le Dauphine
http://www.ledauphine.com/isere-nor...s-vetements-de-l-enfant-aux-mains-des-experts

Since the discovery of Maëlys' bones on February 14 and 15 at the foot of Mont Grêle in Savoie, experts from the IRCGN, the gendarmerie's criminal research institute, have been working tirelessly on various elements. According to information from the Dauphiné Libéré, the child's dress, found torn and lacerated, shows black spots that could be a sign of blood.

Experts are also trying to detect the presence of "outer" fibres and/or biological traces on this dress." Tedious but essential work ". The girl's underwear is also being analyzed. This is the girl's top, and her panties "found in a ball", which intrigues investigators.

Again, the analyses could reveal valuable indications to explain the circumstances of death. But it is probably the analysis of Maëlys' sandal that could prove decisive. "All the work consists in tracing the child's path by analyzing the sole. A sole acts like a vacuum cleaner. Micro-particles are embedded in it as the steps are made. The techniques in our possession today make it possible to determine the origin of these micro-particles, and to determine the soils or grounds on which the child walked that night," according to a source close to the survey.

LELANDAIS CASE: FAMILIES OF TWO MEN MISSING FROM FORT TAMIÉ FILE A COMPLAINT

Le Parisien
http://www.leparisien.fr/faits-dive...-tamie-portent-plainte-02-03-2018-7587120.php

One year apart, in 2011 and 2012, two men disappeared after attending a festival of electronic music in this fort. Two disappearances in which the name Nordahl Lelandais appears each time.

The families of Jean-Christophe Morin, 22, and Ahmed Hamadou, 45, two men who disappeared during a festival of electronic music at Fort Tamié (Savoie), respectively in September 2011 and 2012, have filed a complaint this Friday for "kidnapping and sequestration" at the court of Albertville (Savoie) and constitute themselves as civil parties.

"This is the only way to put justice into motion in these two inert cases and open an investigation," according to Didier Seban, the cold case lawyer who defends both families. "It is time for the justice system to understand that disappearances sometimes hide crimes," the lawyer insists. He has solved multiple cases thanks to his determination "against a judicial machine that sometimes turns around itself."

It is a question of having the facts studied in perspective and in relation to the supposed proximity with Nordahl Lelandais," Corinne Herrmann, the other family lawyer adds.

"At the time in 2011, when Jean-Christophe disappeared, I moved heaven and earth. I had posters printed, and advertised appeals in the local press, but justice told me that my son had probably run away," Daniel Morin, 62, father of Jean-Christophe, says.

Disheartened, he turned, in turn, to the local gendarmeries and then to the Albertville court, without ever getting an explanation about what should be done.
"I called regularly, but in the end they didn't even answer me anymore... We were left on our own."

In Sallanches, where Jean-Christophe lived not far from his sister Adeline, DNA had nevertheless been taken by the gendarmerie in case his body was found and they needed to identify him. The file was then transferred to the Albertville brigade and the young man was entered in the 'wanted persons register' (FPR). A simple search procedure in the interest of families was set up. That's all there was.

The same was the case for Ahmed Hamadou, 45, whose relatives reported the disappearance at Chambéry police station at the time. But there was no judicial inquiry when these two men disappeared during the same festival. And for no known reason.

"In France, it was explained to me that my son was of age and that he had the right to disappear and no longer give a sign of life... And that does not worry any authority. Who knows if these two cases are not connected if no one investigates!" Daniel Morin concludes, with common sense. He is exhausted. He has since then "never been contacted by any judicial authority," Me Seban and Me Herrmann notice with surprise.

Nordahl Lelandais, an occasional drug dealer, used to go to electro music evenings such as the Tamié festival (that no longer exists) according to several testimonies. According to Ahmed Hamadou's cousin, he could have known Nordahl. Information that is not yet officially confirmed. As for Jean-Christophe Morin, a young man who dreamed of a different life in the mountains, the links with Nordahl have yet to be established.

These two files are subject to checks, as are others of the "Ariane" coordination unit. A team of gendarmes from the judicial division is in charge of detecting plausible overlaps on cases of disappearances or unsolved crimes linked or not to Nordahl Lelandais. The ex-dog handler has already been implicated in the murder of Maëlys De Araujo, 9 years old, in August 2017 and the assassination of Corporal Arthur Noyer, 23 years old.

Since the beginning of January, Nordahl Lelandeis's "life course" over the last fifteen years has been scrutinized by investigators, in particular by investigating all judicial bases, but also private providers such as telephone operators, transport companies or insurance companies.

The aim of this work is to "fix in time and space" the suspect in order to allow for connections and re-launch unsolved criminal investigations. The collected data are integrated into the AnaCrim software, a computer tool that allows the different information to be cross-referenced.

Ahmed Hamadou had gone to Fort Tamié with his friend YK. They both disappeared from there. After 2 weeks, YK resurfaces, his car is still missing. I wondered before how YK (broken glasses, missing telephone) could have been excluded as a POI, and I now wonder even more.

It's amazing to me that they can go back 12 to 15 years on telephone traces....

I've revised or actually added comments from the articles you all posted above. I'll post it now in the next post. If any mistakes - please let me know! :pcguru:

He arrived at a friend's place at 6am, telling him he went to the gendarmerie (for his cell phone?). They tried to call Ahmed but could not reach him. Then Yan left and disappeared for 15 days. Possible link; verification under way.

Stéphane Chemin, 33 years old, who suffers from schizophrenia, disappeared on 24 September 2012 in Bourg-d' Oisans region (Isère). Earlier: Probably not a suspect; same region as NL; preliminary investigation. New on List of: possible link; verification under way.

Eve Monteil, 49 years old, on 25 August 2014, in Bourg-en-Bresse (Ain).

Lucas Tronche, then 15 years old, had disappeared on 18 March 2015, at 5.10 pm, Lucas had planned to go on his kick scooter to a bus stop in the commune of Bagnols-sur-Cèze, where he would take a coach to the public swimming pool in Laudun-l’Ardoise for swimming practice with his 17-year-old brother, Valentin. Valentin left before Lucas, expecting Lucas to join him at the bus stop. Possible link; verification under way. 2/27/18: Checks on the telephone and bank accounts of Nordahl Lelandais were to be carried out in connection with the disappearance of Lucas Tronche in Bagnols-sur-Cèze. Indeed, as we revealed at the end of December, the suspect has family in the Gard, not far from Bagnols. This week, we learn from our Ebdo colleagues that no link on the telephony side can be connected to Nordahl Lelandais in Lucas' disappearance. And according to the regional daily newspaper, the mobile phone data indicated the presence of the alleged killer of Maëlys in Isère that day.

The gendarmes immediately established a search perimeter around the nightclub, especially to the bridge that spans the Sierroz at this location." Thomas R.'s body was found the next day, in the river.

In the morning, she leaves her home to go downtown for work . Request from family to investigate

Antoine Zoia, 16-year-old teenager has not been found since 1 March 2016. He disappeared in Clarensac, near Nîmes, also in the Gard. Antoine was last seen buying a packet of cigarettes from a tobacconist’s shop. His whereabouts remain unknown and all lines of investigation are being considered. An investigation was launched to establish whether there could be a link between these two disappearances of teenage boys (Lucase Tronche) with similar characteristics from nearby locations in under a year.

Her car was found there, in a parking lot. It had been there for weeks. "In the Bonnet case, the only reason for the reopening of the investigation is the geographical proximity (a distance of about 15 kilometers) between the area of [her] disappearance and the places of discovery of Arthur Noyer's bones, in Montmélian, of which Nordahl Lelandais is suspected of murder." Earlier: Probably not suspect; same region as NL; preliminary investigation.

The investigators said he got into Nordahl Lelandeis' car. Indicted for this murder on 12/20/17.

Mr. Decamp hopes that the investigation will not be abandoned, despite this element." Possible link; verification under way.

Maëlys De Araujo, 9 years old, disappeared at Pont-de-Beauvoisin in 27 August 2017. Her bones were discovery on February 14 and 15 at the foot of Mont Grêle in Savoie. Indicted for this murder on 9/3/17; on 2/14/18 confessed to killing Maëlys "accidentally" and led investigators to her body.

I remember searches in the gorges, which probably happened after his friend David G. spoke to the gendarmes.

Would a cadaver dog have hit near the neighbor's shed if that was where he first placed her body?

"Then, in mid-morning, Nordahl Lelandais, his lawyer, the prosecutor, and investigating judges left the courthouse of Grenoble, to head toward Le Pont-de-Beauvoisin, and his village of Domessin (Savoie), three kilometers away. There, the former 34-year-old dog handler showed them the place where he first placed Maëlys' corpse before returning to the wedding for half an hour.

The convoy finally headed for the town of Saint-Franc (Savoie), about ten kilometers away. It is there that, a second time, he left the body of the girl, after having recovered it in Domessin and then placed in the trunk of his car. In the first slopes of the Chartreuse massif, "a place where there is a forest, a kind of small ravine, an extremely remote place," detailed the prosecutor.

The place is located near the Chailles gorges, in the middle of which flows the Guiers, the river which also passes by Pont-de-Beauvoisin. As they were fishing there in 2009, Nordahl Lelandais and his friend David G. had discovered the skeleton of a man missing four years earlier. Heard in September in the context of the Maëlys affair, David G. reported to the investigators: "The day we found the bones, Nordahl said that if someone wanted to make a body disappear, this was the ideal place."

Different article, different year... One source says this happened in 2009, another source states 2014. So when did Nordahl and his friend find this body? 2009 or 2014?

"In 2014, a friend of the suspect tells us, "he and I, while walking around, found a body in the gorges of Chailles. It was pointed out that it was a Romanian who had escaped from a burglary. Nordahl said to me, "Ah! I know how to hide someone so that they may never be found."

Both stories should be taken with a pinch of salt IMHO.

Fishing in the Gorges de Chailles?
Walking in the Gorges de Chailles?
And what did they find, a body or a squeleton?

Nordahl would have said this was the ideal place to hide a body ~ when they just found one

and / or

Nordahl would have said he knew a place where a body never would be found ~ giving away half of his secret, if ever there was one.

IMHO the report in Le Monde is possibly the better bet, because the witness has a name, but a lot remains unclear.
