When I see photos of Greg McMichael and his son, who is a clone of Greg's younger self, it makes me cringe. Greg raised Travis to be prejudiced against blacks. Travis was the one who killed the innocent black jogger that fateful day, but Greg was the one who instilled hatred in his son from birth. That is the reality that Dad will have to live with as he and his son spend the rest of their lives in prison. Hard lesson for both.

The men convicted in the killing of Ahmaud Arbery have been moved to a state prison.

Sheriff Neal Jump of the Glynn County Sheriff’s Office said father and son Greg and Travis McMichael and their neighbor William “Roddie” Bryan were moved Tuesday to Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson.

I am not surprised by the position she takes. It seems the media appearances (this and others) are meant to help in fund raising for an appeal. I am surprised that she raised over 30k for legal bills. Some of the comments on the site sadden me to no end.

“My personal experience since this story went viral tells me that it would be futile to spend time and energy trying to persuade those with a closed mindset that the public narrative driven by the mainstream media is at a minimum incomplete and at most a downright fabrication. This media-driven narrative of the ‘innocent jogger’ is the driving force behind the reason my husband and son are sentenced to die in a Georgia prison,” she wrote.

"Leigh McMichael called her husband and son “kind, decent and honest men who were simply trying to help our neighborhood.”‘We are not those people.’ Mother, wife of Ahmaud Arbery’s killers speaks about case for first time

Sure they were trying to help the neighborhood - by getting rid of a human being they thought did not belong there because he was black-- Media driven narrative of "the innocent jogger"-- GMAB--- these people just keep proving how disgusting they are.

On her website home page, she starts out saying, "This website and content are not offered with the purpose of slandering or blaming Ahmaud" but then the rest of site is basically trying to lay blame on Arbery because of his troubled past.

Which is all totally irrelevant when you choose to chase a pedestrian who poses no threat to you and run them down with your car for several minutes.

On her givesendgo page, one of the commenters says: "The 16th chapter of the book of Acts tell a story about false imprisonment. God intervened and freed Paul and Silas. Let us pray and have faith that He will do the same for Travis and Gregory."

Quite the backwards thing to say since the three were convicted precisely for false imprisonment.

This lady would rather stay high on copium than face the reality we have all seen. She has some nerve to say that she doesn’t intend to blame Ahmaud while dedicating a whole page on her site to slandering and vilifying him.

She says that they are not “like that” yet she put together a whole website defending what they did, painting them and their families as the true victims. There’s no “media narrative”. We have heard your side of the story. We watched the trial.

So rude.

I will venture to guess that father and son see themselves as victims and to this day will have learned nothing as they spend the rest of their miserable lives in a prison, where they so belong.

She made no mention, at all, of the other individuals who were also filmed going in and out of the construction zone. It's just a self serving piece to rationalize how her 'kind, decent and loving' son and husband ended up killing a black man and are still confused as to 'why' they've been convicted of murder. It still amazes me thinking the release of that video would have exonerated them. That just goes to show you just how generational racism is embedded in the psyche of those convicted.

On Tuesday, Senior Superior Court Judge John R. Turner scheduled Johnson’s first court hearing for Dec. 29. Turner’s order said on that day Johnson can formally enter her plea to two felony charges against her and that he will consider pending motions by her attorneys to dismiss one of the counts.

Good....but a long 14-months after being indicted.

I hope he gets excellent medical care so he can live a long life. In prison.
