It names the two males and the female friend Fruity was last with at the apartment. I hope the family gets some sort of information that leads them closer to whatever it is that took place that night. MOO those who know are not talking.

"She did not at any point leave 1660 Peachtree Street on her own accord," said Atlanta Police Major Peter Malecki.

On Tuesday, Atlanta police say their investigation over the last two months has revealed Lenoir was killed inside the apartment, and her body was later moved.

Major Malecki says through the use of certain technologies, investigators identified two suspects in the case: 29-year-old Diante Reynolds and 29-year-old Steven Oboite. These are the men Lenoir and her friend went to see.

Reynolds is currently being held in Fulton County Jail on unrelated charges.

Officers say Oboite is on the run, and possibly in the metro Atlanta area.

"We do believe that she had died inside the apartment and was relocated to an undetermined location," APD Maj. Pete Malecki said at a press conference.

Malecki added that police believe the second suspect, Oboite, is believed to still be in the metro Atlanta area.

“We knew that this was going to be a race against time, but until her body is recovered – we remain hopeful," Lenoir's mother, Jannette Jackson, said in a statement provided by Nosiike Media Group.

With the help of phone company and technological evidence, police were able to track Lenoir to the apartment. Police say Reynolds and Oboite had a brief "acquaintanceship" with Lenoir and were not complete strangers.

Both men are facing charges of murder and concealing the death of another. Malecki said they do not believe Lenoir's murder is linked to sex trafficking, but are still trying to determine motive.

Dateline featured Allahnia’s case in our Missing in America series in August and spoke with Allahnia’s mother, Jannette Jackson.

Jannette told Dateline that on the night of July 30, Allahnia was hanging out with a close family friend and two guys at the 1660 Peachtree Midtown Apartments. The next morning, Allahnia’s friend called her house to check that she had made it home safe, since the friend had left the gathering early.

Allahnia had not come home.

On Monday, August 1, Jannette reported her daughter missing to the Atlanta Police Department.

During Tuesday’s press conference, Major Peter Malecki with the Atlanta Police Department said that with the help of technology and video information, they were able to determine early on that Allahnia was last seen “during the early morning hours of July 31 at 1660 Peachtree Street.”

It’s believed that Oboite is hiding out in the Atlanta area. Lenoir’s family are still desperately looking for answers. They hired a private investigator in the aftermath of the young woman’s death, and Malecki believes that Obiote does know Lenoir’s whereabouts. He’s hopeful that they will be able to get that information from Obiote when he is apprehended.

If you have any information on this case, you can help by contacting the Atlanta Police Department at (404) 546-4235 or contacting Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-TIPS.

Nearly two months after 24-year-old Allahnia Lenoir went missing, Janette Jackson said she still has a lot of questions about what happened to her daughter.

"There’s no body. So, if there’s no body and if these people did something to her…where is she?" Jackson asked.

[...]

Jackson said she plans on attending the hearing on Oct. 11th. She also said she prays the judge will deny bond.

"It’s not safe for other people, it’s not safe for me, it’s not safe for my family," said Jackson. "If you’re willing to hurt and harm my kid, what are you gonna do to us? That’s something that’s stayed in my mind this whole time."

“She deserves to rest,” Jackson said, holding back tears. ”We need closure, we need an understanding of what really happened that day.”

Oboite is still on the run.

Jackson said she remains hopeful.

For weeks she passed out flyers and hosted searches for answers.

“I’m never giving up,” she said.

... Neither body nor remains have been found, according to authorities.

"It's all an emotion that, that you can't quantify with any -- there are no words that I could say to you," Jackson said.

In the weeks that followed her daughter's disappearance, Jackson, along with family and friends, went to parks and festivals where they handed out fliers. Her hope was that someone, anyone, would come forward with information that would bring Lenoir home.

Her search also included places where she heard human trafficking was taking place, in case she could find her daughter.

"We also went to places where she thought she could be, that we had heard chatter that they were moving women," she elaborated.

[...]

Jackson and her family were at a hearing for Reynolds. He was denied bond and remains at large. Oboite is still at large, according to police.

A month later after the police's last update, Jackson said she still can't find peace because her daughter's body has not been found.

Allahnia Lenior’s mom wants two things: to lay her daughter to rest, and for the guys allegedly responsible for her death to brought to justice.

"I say to you, where is she?" said Jannette Jackson. "Can I have her body and have a funeral?"

Jackson said the family is now offering a $10,000 reward for information that could lead to her daughter’s remains, and the arrest of the second man suspected of killer her.

Family and friends of Allahnia Lenoir gathered at Piedmont Park Tuesday night to honor her memory with a vigil on what would’ve been her 25th birthday.

"She’s always wearing pink on her birthday…now we are like the pieces of her that are still here," her mother Jannette Jackson told FOX 5.

[...]

"Today is about Allahnia’s 25th birthday and what she meant to us," Jackson said to family and friends in attendance.

She told FOX 5 it was important that they spent the evening in good spirits because it’s what she would’ve wanted.

For the last five months Jackson has fought for answers she hoped would bring her daughter home. Lenoir was last seen at 1660 Peachtree Apartments in late July.

"At first everybody thought it was…you know…not serious, but now we’re seeing right? Super serious…which is what we felt all along," she explained.

... Obiate is still on the run.

[...]

"Everybody, and I mean everybody that hurt my daughter is going to end up in jail."

Atlanta police did not provide any update on the case, but did say the investigation is ongoing. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Steven Obiate’s give detectives a call.

According to APD's website, Steven Oboite is wanted for his role in the disappearance and possible death of Lenior. A 13-count indictment accuses Oboite of felony murder (two counts); distribution of a schedule II controlled substance; hindering the apprehension or punishment of a criminal; concealing the death of another; and tampering with evidence.

Diante Cleophas Reynolds, 29, is already in custody. The indictment lists the same charges for Reynolds, along with identity fraud and forgery in the first degree.

The third man accused in the indictment, however, is not charged with murder.

The 29-year-old, who jail records show is already in custody, is accused of concealing the death of another, tampering with evidence, false statements, and hindering the apprehension or punishment of a criminal.

[...]

The indictment alleges Oboite and Reynolds failed to call 911 while Lenoir "suffered medical distress following the ingestion of a controlled substance" and are accused of the distribution of the drug. They are also accused of tampering with evidence by moving her body from an apartment.

Allahnia Lenoir
  • Atlanta, Georgia
  • Went Missing: July 30, 2022
  • Status: Pending
Allahnia Lenoir, 24, went missing this past summer. On July 30, she entered an Atlanta apartment building with a friend at around 8 p.m. But while the surveillance video shows the friend leaving around midnight, there was no sign of Lenoir, her father said.

Fox5Atlanta reports that police now believe she was killed. During a vigil for Lenoir’s 25th birthday in December, people came together wearing pink, which Lenoir was always wearing, according to Fox5, and reflecting on how much they loved her. Police believe two men, Diante Reynolds and Steven Obiate, killed her. Obiate is still on the run, while Reynolds is in custody at Fulton County Jail.

Anyone with information about the disappearance of Allahnia Lenoir is urged to call the Atlanta Police Homicide/Adult Missing Person Unit at 404-546-4235.

Previously, Steven Oboite and Diante Reynolds were the only named suspects in the case. Now Atlanta police say a third suspect, Nicholas Hendrickson is also being charged for his role in helping the two dispose of her body.

[...]

According to Fulton County court documents, Oboite and Reynolds provided Lenoir with opiates that night inside an apartment.

Investigators believe when she showed signs that she was in need of medical attention, the two men avoided calling 911 in an effort to cover it up.

[...]

The court documents say Hendrickson helped the two men move her daughter's body and then lied to investigators when he was asked whether he had taken a trip to Alabama on July 31 the day of the alleged crime.

Jail documents show a third suspect, Nicholas Hendrickson, was arrested on Nov. 25 and charged with concealing the death of another, false statements, hindering apprehension or punishment of a criminal and tampering with evidence.

In September, police arrested Diante Reynolds and charged him with murder, concealing the death of another, financial identity fraud, forgery in the first degree, tampering with evidence, and possession of a controlled substance in schedule I or II with intent to distribute.

Police told Channel 2 Action News they are still searching for 29-year-old Steven Oboite, who they said is also a suspect in the incident. Oboite has a warrant for felony murder and concealing the death of another.
