The article I posted earlier has been updated....

UPDATE: Cops find stolen SUV, but Clarkston 1-year-old still missing

......The Explorer with paper tags was obscured by bushes at the vacant Brannon Hills Condominiums complex along Memorial College Avenue, police said. Footage from NewsChopper2 showed it being towed from the scene by a wrecker. Clarkston police said the child’s car seat was still inside the SUV.

James Dent told Channel 2 Action News he first spotted a man walking in the area, which drew his attention to the stolen vehicle. Dent said he tried to approach the man, but he ran off shouting. Clarkston police found the man and questioned him, but released him a short time later............

ETA: The info. about the car seat still being in the car is incorrect, apparently.

I hope there are security cameras that help solve this quickly.
Rooting for Blaise to be located safe.

I was thinking the same thing. It seems there are security cameras everywhere these days, hopefully police can find footage showing what happened here. I really thought Blaise would be found with the vehicle. :(

Following.

Is it possible that the baby was targeted, and not the vehicle?
Easier & less time-consuming to drive off with the baby than remove the baby from the car seat?
Which to me would mean the person knew the keys would have been left in the car, meaning that person had to have known them pretty well. IMO
I'm not sure about this theory just adding my thoughts in case that's what is going on here. IMO

They released the person they picked up so he could have just ran out of fear. The car seat missing doesn't scream teen to me either. UGH!

Reporter from 11Alive spoke with LE a half hour ago - they have "zero leads" she reports:

For everyone following - we just talked to police again - they say they have zero new leads or suspects this afternoon. They now have the GBI and the FBI working with then to find Blaise. It’s now been 14 hours since he went missing

Interesting, from the press conference, there was no car seat in the van when it was located.

Current car seats are HARD to install and remove, and would take someone who actually knew what to do to remove it.

TWO seats, if the other child was properly restrained. I can maybe see someone taking Blaise and his seat from the car if he was the target but it’s harder to imagine removing an empty seat that wasn’t being used. moo
