I agree. IMO this is a "date" or something to that effect gone wrong. Sadly such a beautiful girl was in a unplanned situation (maybe even planned hook up) gone wrong.

Can we go back to this? I know LE said that her address on file is not where she lived but she may have possibly been there long enough to have it as an address for recall purposes. I think it's where she was in high school; her mother's address. Her high school was 30328

Maybe she still frequented the area and had friends there.

Based on this last video and the SC image I posted up thread I would like to know what items of clothing were found in her car

Folks upstream have been talking about where she lived. The account speaks to having a candle light vigil at her complex tonight. " Ansley place in sandy springs. 100 greyfield lane sandy springs" NOTE: Sandy Springs is a city north of Atlanta, and is considered Metro Atlanta ( I'm thinking that I'm not allowed by TOS to post the link to it)

I've mapped out where she lived/candle light vigil in relation to where her car license photo was taken. :dunno: if that was a previous address she lived, or current, but makes sense... that would be how she would travel to cosmetology school to access Exit #6 at Northridge to go south on 400 (and Atlanta would be that direction also)

Good that they are doing the vigil to keep this in the news :moo:

That's her mother's place same zip as is mentioned on the arrest record but again police say she doesn't live there

the body of 19-year-old Bridget Shiel was found at Oakland City Park in southwest Atlanta just before 7 a.m. and was surrounded by several dogs when it was located.

I know it's the third time I'm bringing up the dogs but I find it strange

The dogs aren't so strange to me. I grew up on the outskirts of a major city that had quite a bit of poverty. Feral dogs, which usually travel in packs, were always going through the neighborhood.

Thanks I did read elsewhere it was found in Stone Mountain but there was no link to back it up.

Could there be any hold ups in the investigation because she and her car were found in two different counties? Or does the fact that her car is with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation negate that?

The vehicle is being taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

The car was taken Wednesday morning to GBI headquarters, to check for fingerprints, a cell phone or receipts -- anything that could tell them where she had spent the past few days.

Underlined by me depending on when the car was last cleaned this may take some time to collect and analyse. I recall reading that Bridget was id'd by hers.

Nothing we can mention here but if you Google her name there is some other new mention of her on the web.

There is a candlelight vigil tonight so that should put her name back in mainstream media.

Update for the evening. This was on the 6PM news here in ATL. Ive been too busy at work to follow it closely. I think detectives will solve this case. I believe they have better evidence now. Discussed in news: the release of the snapchat photo from the park proving she was there at some point, her clothes have now been found--they phoned the mother to let her know BS clothing was found elsewhere. They would not release where. This means the clothes in the car and these NEW set of clothes are different. The ones they found must be the ones she was wearing when she was murdered. WSBTV.com - bookmark this site if you want updates. They are going to see the case through. Everyone in ATL wants justice for this young woman. JMO I will comeback in a minute and add more links.

Police say the post went up at 10:27 p.m. Monday night, which gives them a better idea of what happened leading up to the moment police found Shiel's naked body Tuesday morning at the Oakland City Park.

Shiel was found riddled with bullets about 7.5 hours after last being seen by a friend.

Shiel's mother, Angela Shiel, says her daughter's friend said the two were together around 11:30 p.m., because the two were supposed to go to a party.

Finally this is out there. It couldn't be discussed before because it wasn't in the press. I added her too late to see this but on SM it was already out there that she was at the park and that she had plans to go to a party

If they were fast enough Snapchat (SC) does tell you the time the snap was posted in your timezone. However, snaps are only visible for 24 hours before being deleted.

Her clothing and purse were discovered in a wooded area. In the park or somewhere else?

I hope they reveal the clothing whether it was the black top, the white top or something else

I wonder if the police are going to revise their first statement that she was dumped in the park but not killed in the park. I just can't envision that she left the park, somebody killed her, then took her body back to the park to steal her car to move it... Hmmmm :thinking:

It's looking like she may have been killed in the park and moved afterwards to another part of the park?

Can we assume the reason they thought she was dumped there and not killed there was because there were no shell casings or blood where they found the body? What other reason would they have other than that, especially if the car did not show any blood?

I hope they scour that park for shell casings, assuming the gun was not a revolver, as who would be able to find a bunch of shell casings in the woods in the dark iykwim.

ETA- Can those bullets be used in a revolver OR an automatic?

Ok I had to take a break because I couldn't formulate a post. It likely this will not make much sense either.

Sunrise was at 06:30 on that day. In my country sunrise is at 0500 but it is light enough to go outside at 0400.

Some properties back onto the park if she was killed in the park I'd like to think someone heard as sound travels forgive the phrase in the dead of night.


@georgiapeach1 Is it likely that the car could have been caught on more cameras from the highway to where it was found?

It appears to me that one wouldn't be able to get very far on foot from the location where the car was found unless you lived in one of the houses nearby. How often do buses run in the area?

Her clothing and purse were in a wooded area. Could that have been around Stone Mountain? There are a lot of trees there and we did see them searching

There was no blood in the car so this point I don't believe she was in her car at all after being shot.

*Speculation* Could her car have been parked in the car park with somebody saying "Meet me at X place" with BS saying "I'm in the car park. Come here." and the person/s responding "just cut across the grass" Snap said "too pretty to be walking thru grass" EDIT: Is my question even relevant if her friend says they were together at 23:30
