George Edenfield the son is being examined by the courts to see if he is mentally competent to stand trial. Just like to point out that this fellow graduated from High School with good averages.

The case for David, the father, is awaiting the trial of his son George.

Someone suggested that Christopher's father should be given 15 minutes alone with each of them. I would include the mother of George Edenfield as well, since she did masturbate while her husband and son took turns with Christopher.

I do keep in touch with the ENTIRE Christopher's family. As soon as something new comes out, I will post it.

I know I'll never forget Christopher. As painful as it is for all of us to think about what he went through, it's quadrupled for his family. I pray for them and that Christopher and his family will see justice.

It is so sad to see so many children being killed not only by strangers, but even by family members. This is so very sad.

Listening to Catherine Cryer today it was said little Christopher was grabbed when he returned home and got off the school bus. I had thought it was later that evening that the alarm went out about him missing. Does anyone know when his family saw him for the last time? Was anyone there for him when he got off the school bus or was he missing for several hours before anyone noticed he wasn't where he should be?

The grandmother told the police that she last saw him sitting on the steps of his father's mobile home as she was leaving the park to run errands. This was around 3:30 in the afternoon when he got home from school. He wasn't reported missing until the father's girlfriend came home from work around 8 pm and asked where CB was. This prompted a "I thought he was with you. Well, I thought he was with you" type of exchange between the father and grandmother. Subsequent to that, he was reported missing. Nobody wants to fault the grandmother or speak out against her because of her grief. But, I think she should take some of the responsibility for leaving that child alone in the park with a known sex offender living directly across the street from her. In fact, the boy often cut through the Edenfield's yard to reach his father's trailer. That's when he was warned about them. She was responsible for this child's safety while the father worked. Six years old with no one to watch out for him within miles. That's when the Edenfield's saw their opportunity and pounced. God rest his little soul.


The trial is set to start in September. Jury selection will begin in Jeff Davis County, about 90 miles away, and they will be taken to Glynn County for the trial.

This is the most horrific case & every time I think of Christopher I cry.
His case has kept me up nights & is one of those cases that makes me have to step back for awhile as its overwhelming for me.
I cry for his family & I pray for them.I also pray the degenerate,inhuman demons responsible for his TORTURE and MURDER suffer.
The only solace I find is knowing they WILL be judged someday.


I wish this case gained a larger spotlight but I believe the horrific details & the incomprehensible fact that it was not only 3 family members but a father-son-mother responsible...........who can get their head around that???I think the discomfort pushed his case out of national media.Its a shame because this case proves yet again SEX OFFENDERS CANNOT BE REHABILITATED AND SHOULD BE ALLOWED OUT OF MAXIMUM SECURITY PRISON WHERE THEY SHOULD BE HELD FOR LIFE(IF WE ALLOW THEM TO LIVE!)!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's what I think. I think the depravity of this case has kept the news away. I am curious to see what kind of coverage the media will give this case once the trial is finally underway. These stories have to stay in the news. Parents need to be bombarded with the message that the world is not safe. Too many parents are complacent and then tragedies happen.

Christopher Michael Barrios, Jr. was an energetic and articulate little boy who loved Spiderman, Batman, Ben-10, and a stray cat in his neighborhood he had adopted and named Jimmy. Before going to bed each night, Christopher would tell each and everyone of his family members "Goodnight, God Bless, I Love You." His smile could light up a room and the whole world was his playground.
