This is the hammer of a @SmithWessonCorp Model 638. It is very hard and textured and takes quite a bit of force, relatively, to *advertiser censored*. If DNA was anywhere it would be here. And whether the hammer was back is important. Yet no swab? #texmciver

Diane McIver Held Mortgage to Financially Strapped Husband's Ranch When He Shot Her
Tex McIver had mortgaged his interest in the couple's ranch to his wife on a $350,000 loan he had not repaid when he killed her.

"Atlanta attorney Claud “Tex” McIver was financially strapped and bleeding money monthly when he fatally shot his wife, a former co-worker of her’s testified Tuesday.

McIver was so consumed with the state of his finances that he told Ken Rickert, general counsel U.S. Enterprises where Diane McIver was president, that his law firm “was cutting him back.” McIver said he was only bringing in $10,000 to $12,000 a month, but his 75-acre ranch was costing him $20,000 to $25,000 a month to maintain, Rickert testified Tuesday.

McIver’s comments were made the day after Diane McIver died, Rickert said...."

Tex McIver borrowed hundreds of thousands of dollars from wife, Diane

"WHAT HAPPENED MONDAY: Lots of talk about the McIvers’ estate planning, with no real resolution. The state continued to drop hints about a relationship between the defendant and a masseuse.

WHAT’S HAPPENING TODAY?: More testimony on Diane McIver’s will and whether changes were made to her 2006 will that is in effect.

This is our live recounting of testimony occurring in the courtroom on Tuesday, March 27: ..."

Did Diane buy into the partnership? Clearly they should have budgeted differently, once he was winding down his practice. Is his current financial situation, because he had to match her spending? I don’t understand where love, commitment and partnership (non financial) , comes into this marriage. So once you’re no longer performing, you’re kicked to the curb?

Soo did he foot the entire monthly cost of the ranch or did Diane as well? Because killing her, if she did, then cut off a huge percentage of the income to support the ranch. In many ways it left him worse off than if she was still alive. On the other hand I guess part of the argument is that he had no idea how little money he'd get from Diane.

Diane made is very very clear that she will not take care of sick people. I remember Dani Jo saying that...I thought good luck Tex as you age.

if you want that arrival at Emory there was so much time lost just getting her in and no medical professional there at first....911 would have told them to go to Grady...that could have made a big difference....I think the point above that maybe some pills were involved because this Tex guy was not thinking clearly no matter how you look at it.

It does explain the alleged "falling asleep in the backseat thing" and him telling Dani Jo which hospital to go through which I believe was technically a longer drive than to the more trauma-equipped hospital. Has the possibility of Tex being pilled up been introduced by either side?

If you believe this was a premeditated murder (I do) it explains why his plan was so nonsensical.

Listening to bond revocation hearing regarding the finding of the gun in April 2017 and boy does this give some interesting information....a real different picture of Janie Calhoun and she is really protecting Tex...I don't even understand her....her husband is very very successful man and they are not one of the others that needed money. Clearly she dated Tex in the past and he expressed an interest in her after the death of Diane...and the description of all the firearms in Tex' apartment...well this is all just too much.

Wednesday, March 28th:
