New photos released of missing Haralson County woman

The Haralson County Sheriff’s Office released new photos of a woman who has been missing since last summer.

Jessica Victoria Earl, also known as Jessica Jones King, was last seen June 8, 2018, at a home on Little Circle, just west of Tallapoosa.

The new photos area from Earl’s Google account and were taken in the months before her disappearance.

Haralson county states that the case has not been ruled out as foul play at this time.

BBM if this is true it is sad. I understand you can't have people going onto private property but it sure seems there should be some organized searches. This is her child.

Deputies say human remains found in western Haralson County are believed to be missing mother Jessica Earl.

Earl, 31, vanished June 8, 2018.

Deputies said a property owner on Mt. Zion Church Road found a tattered backpack with Earl's identification inside Oct. 17.

Human remains found in Haralson believed to be missing woman, sheriff says

A human skull was found Thursday at a property on Mt. Zion Church Road, which was where a tattered backpack and wallet were found weeks earlier.

The backpack and wallet belonged to Jessica Victoria Earl, who was last seen June 8, 2018, leaving a home on Little Circle near Tallapoosa, AJC.com previously reported. Her disappearance led to multiple arrests and a reward being offered for information.

Circling back to this. From what've I've read, they found her backpack was found quite a while ago, but they had to wait for some brush to die down before getting a better look in the area.

That would match up with the theory that he was bitten while transporting the body.

On October 26, 2019, the Haralson County Coroner's Office was contacted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations Medical Examiner’s office, confirming that the human remains discovered on October 17, 2019 were in fact the remains of Jessica Victoria Earl. At this time the Medical Examiner's office is investigating to determine the cause and manner of her death. We ask that you continue to remember her family in prayer in the days and weeks to come.

This is still an active and ongoing investigation so no other information will be released by the Sheriff’s Office at this time. We do ask that the community pray for her family and her friends during this difficult time.

Jeffery Seth Odom, 36, was named a person of interest in Earl's disappearance early in the investigation since Earl had been in a dispute with him when she left the home June 8, authorities said.

About a month after she disappeared, he was arrested on unrelated charges for failing to appear in court on felony charges and a count of theft by receiving a stolen vehicle.

Odom's mother, Deanna Ann Smith, 56, of Heflin, Alabama, was arrested days later in connection with the case. She was accused of leading investigators on a "goose chase," the sheriff's office said at the time.
