I know somebody in another group questioned what time Henry's closes. According to their website and their FB pages, they close at 10:00 p.m. during the week. So why was Katie still there at 11:30 and still not off work? Would it be normal for end-of-shift duties/cleanup to take 2 hours?
Again, an early article said that Emma was expecting Katie and Bowie to come and meet her at Henry's so they could all walk home together. So did she go home? Ugh, there are so many cookie-cutter articles to wade through.
Restaurants don't usually make diners leave at a set time, they typically have a set time for closing food orders. The timeline really has me puzzled. According to what I’ve read in the media, Katie stopped by Henry’s (Emma’s job) to say hi and let her see Bowie and left around 11:30pm? On Henry’s website, it says that they close at 10:00pm.
I’ve read in msm articles that Katie and Emma were supposed to walk home together and IMO that would make more sense for Katie to come to her job so late. I’ve also read statements from Emma’s dad that said they had dinner together that night but I wonder what time since the restaurant closed at 10pm.
The time stamps from the surveillance video are also interesting. One shot is from 11:55pm, another is 12:25am and the latest one I’ve seen is 12:46am. If she was in the rainbow crosswalk at 12:07am, I wonder why the feel people at the Charles Allen entrance at 11:55pm were witnesses? Unless maybe they have video of Katie near that entrance at that time? The cross walk is about 10 min away from the Charles Allen entrance.
Lastly, I’ve walked in Piedmont park at night and it was very creepy. We saw men coming out of bushes, men going in and out of the restrooms together, homeless people sleeping on park benches and the one thing I’ll never forget is how dark it was. We could barely see each other and we were walking right next to each other. We didn’t stay long because it was just too dark especially by the trees. I say that to say, Katie might not have even seen anyone coming to harm her and if they slit her throat, I’m not sure if she ever had the opportunity to scream. If the dog didn’t bite the perpetrator, I strongly believe it was someone the dog was familiar with and his guard was down. Just my opinion.
If they stop serving food at 10, diners are permitted to enjoy their meal at their own pace, if the dining room is busy it can take awhile to prepare orders and serve people.
If people want desserts and drinks or coffee after their meal, it's unlikely they will be refused or rushed out.
A restaurant bar stays open as long as people are eating and sometimes longer if it's busy, the biggest profit is in alcohol sales.
