I appreciate the posts upthread by my fellow WSers explaining the DirectMessages (similar to PMs here).

I've been away from the thread for a while, so I'm off to catch up on the latest. Thanks to all who have done such stellar work on the thread.

These images of Natalie and Carter's high school portraits are just brings tears to my eyes all over again. So much promise, left unfulfilled. My heart goes out to their families, their cohorts in color guard and lacrosse, respectively, their classmates and their friends.

With the news of the arrest, they all will need more support, IMO. The adjudication process can often be a long and winding road. I wish them all the strength and grace they need, now and in the future.

Insanity defense starting?? People with aspergers don't hallucinate. Not saying he couldn't have a schizophrenic break. He's around the right age. Maybe on the high end.

I have never heard that people with Asperger's get "strong" meds or being described as "mentally unstable" and hearing voices, and such. This would fit schizophrenia better. rainbowdrummer, how do you know he had Asperger's? With all respect, I kind of doubt it. He expresses his emotions quite strongly in his IG and fb accounts, I don't think that's typical for Asperger's.

That's all jmo, I'm not a professional.

Asperger's Syndrome is a developmental disorder. It is common for people with developmental disorders to also have mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, or psychotic symptoms/disorders. If they had these other problems, they would be given medications for them, just as any other patient.

Some people on the autism spectrum (and other disorders such as severe depression and psychotic disorders) can have what is called flat affect. This means that they don't appear to be expressing emotions as a normal person in terms of facial expression, tone of voice, etc. It doesn't mean that they don't have feelings.

Thursday, Roswell police released a photo of Hazelwood's silver Honda Passport SUV, asking anyone who has seen the vehicle to contact them. Specifically, they wanted to know if anyone had seen it under "suspicious circumstances," reports CBS Atlanta.

I wonder if they are still looking for the gun he used. Perhaps saw him in possession of it, and saw him use it, on the security videos from Publix and Steak and Shake, but have not found the weapon?

Within 48 hours, investigators were closing in on their suspect, police Chief Rusty Grant said. Cell phone technology placed Hazelwood both at the scene of the crime and at a nearby gas station, where the suspect allegedly used a bank card belonging to Natalie, Grant said.

I wonder if they were able to triangulate and came up with the phones that pinged that area, at that time it probably would have been few phones in the area at the time. jmo idk

These days, with applications on iPhones and smartphones that are Android, they don't necessarily need to have triangulation through cell phone towers anymore as the applications may show where they were within feet? :moo:

I'm not sure how that works. I thought it eas used in a recent case, and I think it's going to be more popular as far as search warrants? :moo:

Or, perhaps the car was known as a drug-connection vehicle, or he stalked people while in his car, or hung around the parking lot after hours.
