What does finding someone sleeping next to their house - although that would freak me out to find at my house - but what does that have to do with Rusty being gunned down? That's a big leap from sleeper to killer - right?? Maybe I'm missing something.

That man was Hemy Neuman in disguise. It was a failed murder attempt.

Does this trial seems kinda boring or is it me??

Missing Juantastic.

I just noticed there's a big bottle of Jergen's hand lotion [I use the same kind] on the Judge's bench. I realize I really need to get a life! lol!

I think Rusty called the police about the man laying down outside the house, and said he saw a gun as the guy ran off - it's creepy to begin with, tough.

Sheesh! I'm the only one awake! DH is napping, my 3 cats are napping... I feel a real yawn coming on.

So, I'm off to the sofa to listen to the rest of the audio from there. For some reason, I can make out AS better over there. Go figure...

Why were they giving Mr S such a hard time about Andrea telling him his son had been shot, when minutes later (was it minutes?) they have a copy of the text she sent to her coworker saying he was shot?
AS obviously told both peeps the same thing, and they can prove she told the coworker so why not believe she told her father In law the same?

Lots of laughter in this courtroom (I dare say, too much for me since it really is the 2nd half of a murder trial, IMO). I remember when Judge Sherrie freaked when ALV made her "funny". I do however, LOVE this judge!

Because you are in a hypnotic state....transfixed by the sound of her voice. :floorlaugh:

Speaking of voices, I could listen to the female prosecutor speak all day. She has a beautiful voice.

Maybe it's because I don't have kids, but I don't know how AS could talk with that RACKET going on!

What can the jury be thinking about LE trying to question AS about the death of her husband to get information with all that commotion going on in the background. I can't believe this tape will help her at all. jmo

Nap didn't work. I think the loudness of the other people in the house is a quirk in the recording device. It must be very sensitive with the volume turned up enough to record everyone at the table, it would pick up a lot of sounds in the background more clearly than what it was for the people sitting at the table.

I know it was HN that was the man in "disguise", I just find it odd that a woman who supposedly doesn't know who may have killed her husband would be so talkative about the sleeper at her house. I don't think detectives would make that leap from vagrant to killer either. SHE knows it was a failed murder attempt but the cops don't have anything to link that at the time of this interview. This very noisy, family gathering police interview.

And how in the world would AS have been ok with HN attempting and then succeeding in killing Rusty when both times their son is with Rusty?!?!?! She HAS to be one cold, evil woman for sure.

This was the first one at AS house November 19th, 2010.

Thanks Swanna! Shocked that it's the day after?! I'd be medicated and not up to a police interview, or not medicated and hysterically crying and need to be alone. There's just too much hinky-ness with AS...she was hysterical at the daycare BEFORE finding out and the day after losing Rusty so horrifically she is in a house full of family and able to give a coherent interview. Hinky!

Not just you...I think Juan spoiled me for other trials...sigh.....
You know what sorta scares me? Different state's laws, different judges, and different attorneys seem to be the "luck of the draw",and determine totally different outcome. I honestly had no idea justice was so "willy nilly".
I feel as if each trial I've watched is SO different in ways other than the facts of the case. For instance, would the rules of evidence, or what the judge ruled admissible be the same in another state with a different judge? I guess if one is planning to commit a crime, they should move to the state with the best laws, and try to get a "good"judge.
I really like this judge, and hope the jurors can see past the team of defense attorneys strategy. It is just unsettling to me how similar cases are handled so differently.

Thanks NotMyself! I didn't know Rusty had seen the man carrying a gun. If AS said that in the interview I missed it when it drowned into the background noise ;)
