Cash poor is my point and I watched the trial ....he didnt want to lose his ranch IMO, he owed too much to his wife and she could foreclose for ANY reason I understand from reading up on this

In addition, the secretary said there was another will, I dont know who wrote it up or how it was done but TM cleaned out her office pretty quickly after her death and no will was ever found in her office or elsewhere but if others didnt have a copy, its gone, no one would know and he sold her many riches.....DM wanted her half of the ranch to go to her God son and TM had signed his form willing his portion to her and and her portion willing her half to TM was never signed for weeks.........before her death

I dont know what you know but he seemed guilty to me, and was found guilty

I guess this should be disgussed on the DM site haha

but at any rate, the reason for that discussion is how well SS knew his BFF......not well, he didnt suspect he'd be found guilty

I live in Atlanta. I’ve been reading Websleuths since Summer 2017 but just started posting in September.

The Dermond case is what drew me here. My Fiancée best friends Fiancée owns a lake house at Lake Occonne. He told us about what happened on a boat ride.

I then became interested in other cases on Websleuths.

The forensic accountant for the prosecution of TM is a client of mine. I asked him what he thought and he said TM was cash poor and explained the financial piece. He was hired by the prosecution. He didn’t testify on what he thought happened.

I don’t know SS or TM. I only know the forensic accountant. If you look in the AJC you’ll find him. First and last initial are the same.

20 mil is DM wealthy I don’t know how wealthy the Dermonds were but that house doesn’t scream 20 mil net worth imo. I also know how much a Hardee’s franchise makes a year; multiple.

Levi I think it's great that you will be looking into this and hopefully this case can be solved soon. The only problem you're going to run into is the misinformation SS feeds to all of us including reporters. I know he can't come out and say exactly what evidence he has that is obvious but he has lied to the press many times for reasons unknown to us. The coroners report is public and was posted on a link about a month or 2 ago. What i'd like to see is the feds profile on the killer(s) besides the obvious " THEY LIKE GUNS AND KNIVES" . I believe this profile contains much more than that. Good luck

This is pure awesomeness! As you may well know, there is a LOT Of misinformation and even from the earlier podcast who only questioned and reported what was told my SS mostly. For one , the GSR allegedly on RD Collar, was told so many times and in the podcast but later finding it's not true per the autopsy report

In the earlier investigation, there was mention of a foot print or there was testing being done, cant recall if someone assumed this or what. Would like to know if there was any foot prints

I'd like to know if the guy on the lawn was a decoy or truth. No one can give a description yet said it was a man...(through a thicket of trees than anyone could only Barely see past) HOW

I'd like to know more about the alarm system when the daughter was there, it was reportedly "tampered with" or turned OFF. NO one knows the real truth

I'd like to know more about KD lien I found in the county he lives in, the link i had no longer goes to that information, maybe cleared IDK but it was paid off AFTER the Dermonds death and I know it was there, I sent it as soon as I saw it to another WS'er

Where did the killers enter or did they enter? Is there ANYthing that could lead to knowing this?

Who's fingerprints did they pull from the property as SS stated, the house was COVERED in powder.


Some inlaws are both doctors, maybe not surgeons but know how this is done. As per the reports, the perps could be anyone from avid hunters to doctors...... I have info if interested inbox me

SO MANY questions after all this time and IM sure you guys/gal will do a WONDERFUL INVESTIGATIVE REPORT....maybe produce a solid lead if not solve it

ALso any exit points if these guys dont live on the lake, I investigated down by the dam, Lawrence shoals, no cameras at that boat launch and a dumpster halfway out of the area and a very quiet place

Were the dumpsters investigated?

People do make mistakes and if the boatman exited with a head, he could have dumped it in any dumpster at the ramps.........Were the landfills checked?

I know sonar was used in the area of SD body location and the dock area of the home

Just some thoughts
This case needs straight facts not cat and mouse games

Yes, this one needs resolution. The Dermonds reminded me of my late parents. That's probably why I find it so awful. Like I previously said, I'd be at SS office every day from the day it happened until today if it had been my parental units. I would not be able to sleep.

Yes, I agree. If it were my parents, I would be best friends with SS, helping him day and night to find the perpetrators. My name would be well known to the nation, such as Marc Klaas or John Walsh. But no, there is mostly silence from the children. IMHO, there was no great sadness from any of them.

I've been away from WS for a very long time but have had the Dermonds on my mind lately. Thought I'd better check in. How in the world can this be a cold case? It was such a shocking and twisted crime.

Mark Winne of WSB/Channel 2 does a piece on the anniversary of the crime.
4+ years.

And now 2 BIZARRE murders across the lake from each other.

No one saw anything.
No one had security footage in that very gated community with guard shacks, cameras - which weren't working says LE- and patrols?

Where is Dateline?
And People Magazine on ID?
Heck, there are 5+ shows on ID the Dermond Murders would fit...

It is just so odd...
