The garages on those houses are mostly two-car...but in a technical sense. They are small and require a lot of maneuvering to get into and out of -- not to mention the shared driveways, often with little turnaround space. We scraped the walls of our Adams Crossing garage more than once, just trying to get in/out! However, if he lived alone, I agree that it is sort of odd that the car would be so super close to the wall like that.

Sorry, just catching up. Been out of the loop for about a week. My apologies then for bringing up a topic from the last thread. I can't quote any posts from it, so will just share my experience regarding the likelihood of Timothy being treated in a psychiatric facility with no one being aware of it. The chances of him being admitted with his ID and insurance card found at his home.

The last 15 years of my nursing career were spent on an acute, adult in-patient, locked psychiatric unit of a regular hospital in a large urban city. I was Charge Nurse of the unit for the last 7 years.

I'm not saying that all psych units follow universal policies, but I believe the majority of them function in a similar manner.

The first rule is always patient privacy. HIPAA safeguards all patient information anyway, but psychiatric admissions are extremely confidential.

No one is given information without the patient's permission. All patients are given a code number. They are the only ones authorized to give that number to whomever they wish. All we could say to a caller ( without a code number ) was that we could not confirm or deny that the person was a patient.

However, as another person posted, ( sorry I can't quote to give proper credit ) LE is the exception. If the patient was on their radar for any reason, LE was given the information relating to that specific offense. Since some were arrested upon discharge, LE was notified and waiting at the door when they exited.

Another exception is if the patient made a threat against a specific individual. We were required to notify that person of the threat before the patient was discharged, as well as LE.

As for personal valuables of our patients, ( including their phones, ID and Insurance cards ) they were locked up in a separate area across the hall from our unit. No one except psychiatric staff had access to that locked area.

In fact, we even had a separate psychiatric team that admitted our patients. They took care of the insurance authorization, and were the ones responsible for listing and locking up all items.

Even for the main hospital operators, the 'names' for all the patients for our unit showed up for them as only 'privacy patient.' They never saw a real name and had no access to any information.

We had a few 'John Does' who we treated and stabilized. Their identities were resolved fairly quickly though. There were no situations like Timothy's.

We also had many patients without ID cards or even insurance at all. They were not required to be treated. But there was usually a way to verify their identity.

In my opinion, I don't believe Timothy is being treated in any psych facility.

I realize, as someone previously said, if you're under a specific health care insurer, you could be in their system already, and wouldn't need to show an insurance card. This is becoming more frequent as these systems progress, I agree.

But for many reasons, I don't see that happening here.

I wish he was. I wish I had that hope he was getting help, but I don't have a good feeling about this. The situation sounds like a mental health crisis and I don't think it's going to end well.

My heart goes out to him for all he has gone through, and everyone who cares about him...

The username Tim used for instagram, twitter and youtube is "tjurel"

https://www.instagram.com/tjurel/
https://twitter.com/tjurel
https://www.youtube.com/user/tjurel

It appears he ALSO used this username for his email accounts on gmail, hotmail, aol and yahoo

Here's an article he wrote for Science Magazine in 2002 where he gave the aol email address: http://www.sciencemag.org/careers/2...d-universities-tradition-and-progress-science

It appears he also used to play on chess.com
https://www.chess.com/tournament/122608/player/tjurel

And had a soundcloud account: https://soundcloud.com/user-562979587

Can anyone find additional social media with that username or by searching those email addresses?

Maybe run it through the wayback machine and see if anything was deleted?
(I'm not able to use the wayback machine on my current computer or I would try it myself)

People have asked about his dating relationships. On this fb picture from 2014 a friend makes a comment that may indicate he was seeing someone at that time (JMO): https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?....14585.-2207520000.1520826601.&type=3&theater

First comment on this pic may be relevant as well: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?....14585.-2207520000.1520826601.&type=3&theater

We can't sleuth any of his friends, obviously, but I think Tim had a social life he kept mostly offline. Due to his high-profile profession that makes sense, IMO.

Does someone have a link to the interview with the neighbor who Tim asked to delete his number?

The 2nd link the “hey daddy” comment is from his best friend. He is the godfather to her child. If you click her name you will see a pic on her page with the 2 of them from the baby shower and Tim has a sticker on his shirt that says “God Dad to be”.

The 3rd link was at his Spellman reunion.

I’m sure he had a dating/social life, but it may not have been as robust as the average person because he had a demanding career. His private Instagram page has at the top of the page “snapshots of my life typically when I’m off duty or not at my desk.” Any friend of his I’ve come across on social media is married or married with a family. Maybe just maybe his personal issues were related to the fact that he reached a point in his life where he realized all his friends were married or married with children and he felt very alone in the world because of this. Or maybe he was in a relationship for awhile and the individual broke up with him recently. Hence why there are no pics of him with a girlfriend. Just because we don’t see pics indicating any type of relationship, it doesn’t mean one did not exist.

I have an active social life that my social media doesn't reflect. I'm fairly private online.

Given where he worked, he probably wouldn't have wanted "party" pictures posted, even if he was social.

Also, I believe the person he's with in that picture is actually his dad.

To be fair, I think his social life is online but behind privacy settings, like most individuals tend to do...

This was brought up earlier in a previous thread....
TC called in sick on both Thursday and Friday.
Exactly what did he do over the weekend? Was he in bed most of the time? Was he on SM? Did he walk his dog in the neighborhood? Did he go to the he grocery store?
The only thing that we know for certain is that during this time he approached his neighbor, asking him to tell his wife to remove his cell phone number from her phone.
But whar else did he do? What were his typical weekends like?

Today makes a month that TC has been missing. Not to be negative, but imo the writing is on the wall and it’s no longer a case of search & rescue.. If they are searching fields and wooded areas, they are looking for a body. Unfortunately, I don’t believe he is alive anymore, but I’m still praying for a miracle.

I stayed up way too late last night reading through Thread #1. When I did go to sleep, I had a dream that I was in a dark, quiet, sparsely furnished room, trying calmly but somewhat urgently to figure out how to get out. When I woke up, I felt so scared and sad. I know this is irrelevant to actually finding Tim, but obviously I had him on my mind and worry those were or are some of the same feelings he had/has. I don’t intend to be melodramatic, but I felt very connected to him at that moment. Thinking of him and his family at this one-month mark. :(

I'm really concerned that those days off work, and after, he was struggling with depression/thinking things through, and I give a lot of credence to JazzTune's last post (#62). So I am less optimistic now of a good outcome... but I always cling to the hope that it's still possible, because not to be cliché, but anything truly *is* possible.

I worry about this, too. Of course I don’t know his true work ethic, but by all accounts, I imagine he was great with attendance at work. CDC also has pretty flexible policies on telework, depending on the department, so if he were just mildly ill, he might not have even used sick leave at all (but worked from home instead). Did he tell his family that prior week that he was home sick? And if so, did he describe his symptoms? It seems like something that would have come up if they were regularly talking or texting. If he didn’t mention it at all, it would strike me as odd.

Does anyone have a comprehensive list of the areas that have already been searched? The cemetery (Crestlawn) near his home was covered and we’ve ruled out access to the train yard. And there was the search at University Office Park (near Mercer). I know LE has repeatedly mentioned the “woods around his house” but it’s difficult to tell exactly what that means. I would just like to get an idea of what all has NOT been covered yet. TIA!

I’d also be curious about what has been officially (or unofficially) searched. In addition to the woods directly behind his house, there is a walking trail right there that connects to both a densely kudzu(?)-covered area as well as a boardwalk through a forest with a ravine below. Standing Peachtree Park is also within walking distance up Ridgewood Rd. It is very secluded.

If he was indeed a runner, I feel like all these areas would have been familiar to him.
