Hey B....

Getting dizzy????

Those posts at the Mirror Forum about Mafia assistance in this search strike me as gullible fantasy, 2 parts; comic book mentality, 4 parts; wishful thinking, 3 parts. The item that pricked my curiosity was the bag with DNA on it. That sounds possible.

So what do you think Tuba (about the bag)?

How long has it been there? DNA?? Just seems so wierd to me....

LOL sure am Colomon, particularly as this site is knocking me of & I cannot get the page back for ages LOL

I was just thinking the same thing how come this DNA has been tested so fast? Perhaps they have a lab there in Portugal but UK is needed for more sophisticated testing?

Why the heck would there be a childs pencil case? How the heck does this back up the theory of abduction? So they left Cuddle cat but took her pencil case to console her? HUH!

Now that I've read more, it is sad and sickening. Like a memento of another unfortunate child in the charge of a repulsive adult. Sixty stains and congealed skin & hair? DNA can mislead, especially when there is no match, just some markers in common. Or maybe not even that. The description is vaguely worded. As to the location, hmmm. Faro. Let's sleep on that possible direction.

also: the father of Madeleine McCann has sent 14 text messages (sms) from his cell phone, a few minutes before the alarm about his missig daughter was given

So in the "few minutes" he had Gerry managed to ring Sky and send 14 text messages.

I am a text message expert and I would be flat out sending 14 messages in a "few minutes", unless the messages said like one word and even then I'd be pushing it.

I doubt very much there is any truth to this.

Not if he sent the same message to 14 people.

".............The restrained nature of last night's service signalled a shift away from the high-profile approach previously favoured by the McCanns and their media advisers. Plans for a global "Madeleine Day", featuring the likes of Elton John, JK Rowling and the former American president Bill Clinton, appear to have been quietly shelved, along with plans for further public appearances by the couple"

Dear God!!!!!

I couldn't have put it better myself. It's bad enough that the McCanns go around acting like celebrities, but to treat Madeleine like one is beyond conscience.

Maddie DNA clue in airport bag

Would anyone be missing a pair of Jeans???

Did anyone change their pants???

Funny how this DNA test only took 2 weeks and the FSS has been testing for what....3 months?!?!

"The DNA isn't an exact match to Maddie's, but it does link."

What does that mean????

Maybe the sample is so contaminated they can't make an exact match. Or maybe the children's clothes belong to Amelie and they were tossed because the parents thought her blood might be on them.

Like OJ's glove, I wonder who the jeans fit. Congealed bodily fluids? If true and the jeans belong to one of the Tapas group (and especially the parents) it looks like maybe Madeleine was disposed of on one of the many trips back and forth to the airport.

I wonder if they are searching the road to the airport, since the McCanns by their own statements definitely drove that road numerous times in the car hit on by the sniffer dogs.

I really hope this is true, since more DNA would help the direction of case (if it doesn't take them ten more months to analyze it - doh!).

I really don't care how long it takes to analyse it as long as it nails the McCanns to the wall when they're done.

I also hope they're checking every inch of the road to Faro. It sounds like a very opportune, accessible place to dispose of a dead body.

Thanks! My teenagers and I are addicted to Law and Order. :) My daughter is in college now - Pre-Law - so I consider it educational television.

I just adore Goren, too - he's better than Sherlock Holmes. :blowkiss:

I didn't see any mention of the Tapas 9 in the article?

Paulo Rebelo talked to the GNR cops who were the first to arrive at PDL the night Madeleine went missing. He wanted to know if the group showed signs of having drunk too much and the cops told him they looked normal. The GNR cops also said they didn’t see Robert Murat in the area in that night.

Strange that noone saw Murat in the area on May 3rd only the Tapas gang!

A little news:

Moroccan authorities deny Madeleine search

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/11/05/nmaddy105.xml

Press reports in the UK had said on the weekend that investigators were preparing to search a farm in the Rif mountains of Morocco after a fresh sighting in the village of Fnidek, east of Tangiers.

But the Moroccan Interior Minister Chakib Benmoussa said on Sunday that there was "no evidence suggesting such a presence in Morocco".

"We have cooperated for a long time with Portuguese and British police through Interpol and we have not had any new development on this case up until now," Mr Benmoussa added.

Not just the McCanns friends Barnaby.

'Murat WAS there the night Madeleine disappeared' says new eyewitness

havent posted for a few days as to be honest I am just getting tired of going over the same subjects over and over - nothing new has happened - just more and more specualtion no movement from the PJ on anything - is their DNA or not

Reading the past few days threads have reinforced that view - surely the FSS have either got DNA or not - ther are either going to charge the Mccanns or not same with the Tapas 9 - are they going to charge them or not -

ah well lets see what this week brings

I don't believe any of these reports saying that Maddie has been seen in Morocco. My gut feeling is she never left Portugal even though we have heard of countless sightings of her all over the place. People see what they want to see, (in this case they think they have seen Maddie) and as well meaning as these ppl are, all it does is waste precious time on wild goose chases.
I think that Madeleine will be found not far from where she disappeared, and the police search should be centred around that area. I have read that there are plenty of places to hide her...unfortunately I fear it may be her body the police find and not dear little Maddie. ( How I would love to be proven wrong)
IMHO, there has been far too much publicity via newspapers/tv and the internet which has hindered the case.
The twists, turns and false leads we've read/ heard about ( ie bundleman) in the past 6 months has turned what could have been a case solved quickly into this neverending *advertiser censored*-up.

I hope with all my heart they do find Maddie , I really do because I feel so sad just thinking about her.
