''Investigators say that the suspect is believed to have rang the door of Cameron’s house and attacked him when he answered the door, Daily Mail reported. At the time of the incident, Cameron’s wife Verena Kloos was in the house and escaped the attack by scaling a wall. She reached her neighbours to inform the police.''

'The suspect, a tall Caucasian man whose identity is currently unknown, was seen wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and light-coloured trousers in the CCTV footage taken near the crime scene. He had gloves on him and was carrying a dark red backpack.'
The suspect was seen on CCTV a few hours before the killing.4

Witnesses supposedly saw an unknown male fleeing the couple’s property on foot.
After scouring the area by foot and via helicopter over the weekend, the police released CCTV images of the suspect at the scene of the crime and shopping at a nearby grocery store just a few hours before the killing.
The unidentified man was seen sporting a thin beard and a buzzed haircut''.

Updated: the suspect was apprehended in France. CCTV cables outside the house had been cut.

Was Ian the intended victim? Because how did the suspect know that Ian would answer the door? Was the suspect prepared to kill anyone who answered the door?
