As far as the sexual abuse of the 10 year old on the Salema beach is concerned, we are told that the assailant addressed the child in English.
We know that CB is fluent in the language and the victim has positively identified him in court, but who knows how the judges will read that one.

However regarding the exposure in the playground in Bartolomeu de Messines the perpetrator was positively identified from his driver's licence as CB. Not to mention the chain of custody from in flagrante delicto in Portugal to the floor of the Braunschweig court in Germany.

However whether or not the court will find evidence enough to prove the incident in Messines is in the lap of the gods despite

CB is still serving time for the aggravated rape for which he was convicted.
If he did not have to do that he would be free to walk the streets like any other private citizen on trial arguing five sexual assault cases.

CB has a history of absconding from justice and vanishing somewhere in full view.

• he absconded to Italy from where he was repatriated to Germany
• he was repatriated to Germany from Bartolomeu de Messines
