I have no data in my files about Hackett being a past Suffolk County medical examiner but others on WS have researched and said this is correct. He is mentioned in Point 9. Atty John Ray stated that Hackett, as ME, worked with Burke on the 1996 TWA 800 crash in the Atlantic. But this article states the Suffolk County medical examiner in charge of that tragedy was Dr. Charles V. Wetli not Peter Hackett. Other sources on the TWA 800 tragedy also say Wetli was the ME in 1996. I've only seen Hackett described in MSM as "a former Suffolk County Police Department surgeon". I don't know where to place him on the chart -- I personally don't think John Ray has produced enough definitive evidence to link him to Shannan other than what Hackett has said happened.

I never heard anyone on here say medical examiner... it is Police surgeon.
I read that in the papers and here is an ABC link saying he was a former police surgeon.

The police do not make any sense. Where did they get their certifications??? To be so incompetent is irresponsible! Sorry but this really hacks me off. It is so absurd.:facepalm:

I need to go back and see what paper that was in again and post it. Also, why do you pick up "lubricant" if you aren't having sex? It makes perfect sense to tell the girls that will make a lot of money for doing a short *advertiser censored* film. If we go down that road... What if they filmed SG? And when it is over, finds out "they" are just getting started... and they try to film someone strangling/attempting to harm her and she runs out, dials 911 and tells them on the 911 tape what is going on. Was the 911 operator interviewed? If the police say that there is nothing on the 20 minute tape then fine, RELEASE IT ... do "they" think people are stupid? Logically, there is no reason NOT to release it if that is the truth! So the 911 tape obviously has something incriminating on it.
Also if JB says they didn't have sex, he could have been the one behind the filming? He obviously was there... And SG was asked to come over specifically to his house, thinking she was going to make money for SOMETHING... FOR WHAT OTHER PURPOSE THAN SEX??? You do not call up a pizza delivery guy to come over and drop off a bologna sandwich. In what bizarro world does that even make the least bit of sense? Logically, only two things make sense if he wasn't having sex with her... 1) he was filming something with her in it... 2) he was her pimp, and used CH to give out his girls prescriptions. Either way... JB had to have had something going on with her otherwise she wouldn't have been IN HIS house.
When he was questioned/interviewed... was his house/basement searched? "mirrors on the ceiling and pink champagne on ice"
Did he willingly come forward or wait? If the gate-shack guard was interviewed (if there was one) did he see who all came through the gate? Because if there were others there at the house, and they didn't come through the gate, they probably would have came by boat. What other possible scenario could there be? so CPH implicated and inserted himself, either because he is mentally not that bright, or because he was trying to cover up a prescription he had written to SG or to one of the other people mentioned if it came back to haunt him later. Trying to cover his tracks, yet... making it worse on himself in the process. This all reminds me of the lyrics to Hotel California. (hence my reference above to mirrors and champagne)
Hotel California=Hotel Gilgo. On the next Vacation, I for sure won't be going to the Gilgo Triangle. Geeze.

Indie Indie nice analogy to hotel California. I believe that brewers house was searched after the gb4 were found. If there was anything nefarious going on, there was a lot of time to clean up. I also recall reading that the house was full of cat urine. After reading that, I wondered if cat urine can mess with forensics?

I went back and listened to John Ray's (might I add, lengthy) press conference. He referred to Hackett as the "former police surgeon of Suffolk County" -- so I've corrected that on the relationship chart.

For the record, I have never found research on Hackett as former ME -- only as police surgeon. But early on (~2011) a poster, who personally knew Hackett, made many wrong claims about him on the Internet. I think we all learned the guy's MO was to "poison the well" when it came to Hackett. He inflated some info and discounted other info whenever it suited his purpose.

I am reaching waaaaaay back in my memory bank........................Mr HC told me that an uncle of his (who was SCPD and knew fellow officers all over the county) to be very careful of going clubbing at The Oak Beach Inn (aka The OBI). It was/had the reputation of being a real cop trap for DWI. Even if you weren't drinking, people were pulled over in droves and basically harassed by SCPD. This would have been very late 1980's-1990 maybe as late as 1992. Makes me wonder if any of our unid'd victims may have been out clubbing that night.

Did I just open Pandora's Box ? I saw this uncle over the weekend and the story jumped into my mind. I remembered Mr HC telling me why he would not take me there on a date.

Actually, he specialized in screwing prostitutes in his police car while on duty in the 1st.PCT. Regaling is co-workers with stories how he enjoyed receiving oral sex while he was defecating. He was very proud of that part of his 'police work."
 
Any thoughts on whether it was burke or his attorney that made the decision to respond to leanns claims, right after they were made last week? The initial response was that the claims werent worthy of a response and then it was flat out denial from his attny. After following this case for awhile now and being informed of the players.. "thanks to hawkshaw and many other justice seekers here" i was wondering whether burke is still ultimately calling the shots as to what statements his attny makes now that hes under the microscope. his denial response, hours after leanns press conference is suspect because if leanns claims are really so bogus, then why respond at all.

Neptune, I like your graphic. Can you add four items to it and see if any linkages or relationships become apparent. Michael Pak, Megan Waterman, Amber Lynn Costello, and the motel in Hauppauge. It would be most interesting to learn if any of the existing people on your chart had or have any type of involvement with that motel or the people I listed.

What if in the minds of the 'players' that Oak Beach was getting too much Media and Law Enforcement attention after Shannan disappeared, and certain 'party' activities switched from Oak Beach to the motel in Hauppauge?

Maybe nothing, maybe something.

Re the term, "Police surgeon" -- I had never heard of that term, so I looked around and found some info about it. Here's a bit of it:

Yes this sounds right. It's apparently covered in the book "Scandal At The Oak Beach Inn". The owner Bob Matheson was in dispute with politicians and policing, so they set up road tolls and DUI checks to destroy his business. He re-located the OBI to Key West, FL. I want the book but it's costly to ship to UK... I keep wondering which of the characters mentioned in these threads may also pop up in that book. Feingold?

A phone number I found for Harry Feingold a few days ago, showed up as a Verifcation phone number when typed into Facebook search bar that matched another family member (maybe his son?). Wonder what secrets that phone SIM holds if it's been passed from father to son?

Check out my other posts on how I think Hackett/Burke/Brewer trinity have corresponded on UG Forum since 2002, I think it shows Burke mentioning he knows Brewer's address all the way from 2002 which could prop-up Leanne's claims
 
I see your posts and they are interesting, but what evidence do you have to back up your claim that these are the usernames of these individuals? The only basis you provided is "I think that this is so and so's UG username" Ok, based on what?

The motion, filed in Riverhead on behalf of the man Burke beat, Christopher Loeb, 30, of Smithtown, seeks to set aside Loeb’s guilty plea to criminal possession of a weapon after a pretrial hearing in 2013. Loeb was sentenced to 3 years in prison in 2014.
