I agree, LE have no doubt searched his office and possibly still doing so, but I found it odd that there hasn't been any MSM reporting of it with photos and news media camped outside.
Perhaps they searched after RW was nabbed, which was at the end of business day, so it happened overnight. The office likely didn't take as long to search as a house he has lived in his entire life.

[snipped by me]
I have always felt the burlap wrapping contained a wealth of evidence and it appears it did. It also seemed unlikely that all of a suspects movements would go unnoticed and they didn't. I even did my own profile of a suspect and so far I am on target for Rex. He is slightly taller than I suspected.
It sure did. But, for all who have followed this case, the revelation yesterday that this was camo burlap left me with a sickening pit in my stomach. Because once the camo burlap became public a decade-long conspiracy theory was finally shut down. A man named JB, not the former police chief but a local nursery owner, was vilified for years as being the one responsible for these crimes. Not only because he himself was wealthy and successful, but also because he was acquainted with some of the powerful people in local government at the time. He ended his life. Of course I can't say it was over this, but I also can't imagine this did not affect him and his family in a profound way. It makes me sick for his family that more was not done to publicly shut down those conspiracy theories. MOO

When I read that he had been checking the voicemails of two of his victims, I couldn't figure out how he would be able to do that, but then I read that he also accessed torture *advertiser censored* sites, it made me think that's how he got them to give him their voicemail passwords. Then he killed them. Just my opinion and speculation.
I was wondering how he'd do this. Thanks.

It is interesting to me that his ex wife lives in NJ, and The Atlantic City murders happened. I think near that time frame could they be linked, And was his ex wife petite

agree they could be linked. The Atlantic City murders happened over 5 weeks in 2006, making it a spree serial killer. The Gilgo Beach victims he's being charged with disappeared over the course of a year from summer 2009 - summer 2010, which could be a second spree.

When LE released what his web searches were etc, they only released what they have pertaining to the cases they are charging him with now. And they're charging the cases they have DNA evidence for, and other corroborating evidence.

If there are other cases they suspect are tied to him on Long Island, Atlantic City or elsewhere, they're keeping any evidence close to the vest for now. They can use this in a plea deal.

Edited to add: I''m guessing that while LE were surrounding RH outside on the sidewalk and putting him under arrest, other LE were entering the office and executing their search warrant and taking over the space so that no one could enter, and dealing with any employees who were present at the time if they hadn't left for the day.
The person who posted (I still have to go back and get that post for you) was posting during the business day yesterday. I agree. I too am surprised there has been MSM reporting on this.

Do you know how long his wife was on vacation every year? 5 weeks spree? wow...

Maybe, it was high time for RH's arrest:

A young Long Island woman revealed Friday that she had a disturbing encounter with Heuermann earlier this month in a park — and that she was so shaken, she filed a police report.

ETA (I missed it before, sorry):

But officials admitted Friday they swooped in on the suspect this week due to fears he would strike again, leading them to decide it was time to 'take him off the street.'

'As we worked through the case and got closer and closer, suddenly the balance tips in favor of public safety,' said Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney.

Tierney cited a number of unsettling pieces of evidence, saying that Heuermann 'continued to patronize sex workers,' was using false IDs and burner phones, and had permits for an astonishing 92 firearms.

Looks like the house has a basement. What's down there?

1689449492405.png Is he wearing a wig? MOO, he has such light colored eyebrows and his shaven cheek hair looks to be coming in light, and yet his head hair is too dark and rich in color. MOO, I saw he wore a wedding ring in that interview he did. His hands do not match his body. He has slender hands for such a big body. MOO, chilling, soulless eyes.

All my own perceptions and opinions

I’ve been thinking he wears a wig. Was wondering if LE allows a wig in the mug shot photo.
His hair is so curly in this pic and in other photos it is very straight. The interview video shows straight hair.
Also wonder if he has other disguise wigs or dresses as a woman if he feels the need. So many questions.

I haven't seen any mention in MSM about LE searching RH's office in Manhattan, but I assume that would be high on their list as well as searching the home.

With regard to his wife and children, I hope they have some place to go as it doesn't appear as if they will be able to return to the Long Island house, nor perhaps would they want to.

Having a son with disabilities, it might not be easy for the wife to make a quick adjustment in living arrangements, and MSM articles describe them as very private, so I do hope she has some kind of support system, as it doesn't sound like there is much in the way of finances to fall back on with all the debt for taxes, etc.
I found the post from Thread 1 that we were talking about. Until the arrest yesterday I hadn't been here in a bit so I am rusty on how to do this. I hope I did this right.

“They never stopped working and will continue to work tirelessly until we bring justice to all the families involved,” Suffolk County police Commissioner Rodney Harrison said.

Just as there is no single form of poverty, there also is no distinct set of family patterns or life circumstances that leads to the choices these women made. No formula exists to explain what brought them to Gilgo Beach. Human trafficking was a factor for one of them, addiction for another.

But if they shared something, it was that they never fell off the grid or lived on the streets the way the TV procedural stereotype dictates. They all remained close to their families. They all came from towns with narrowing options and were seeking a way out. That’s one way of looking at “Lost Girls,” the title of my book about this case, later adapted into a movie: They were only “lost” insofar as we — the police, the media, the social safety net — elected to lose them, by deciding they were worth discarding.

Serial killers understand this, of course. Jack the Ripper targeted the women he did for presumably the same reason that the Green River Killer and Joel Rifkin said they did: These were women they believed no one would ever go looking for. And more often than not, sadly, they were right.

Now, 16 years after Ms. Brainard-Barnes went missing, we have an arrest, a suspect: Rex Heuermann was, it seems, living in plain sight, in a Long Island town a short drive from where the bodies were found. He has a spouse and children, and a job with a relatively high profile. In a place as densely populated as New York, he stands accused of a double life that seems hard to contemplate.

His advantage, it would seem, was that no one was looking for him, either. In cases involving escort work, the men who are customers often seem like footnotes, at least to the public. The police locked in on Mr. Heuermann only last year, more than a decade after the four bodies were found on Gilgo Beach.

For Ms. Cann and the other family members, that’s an eternity of wondering and waiting, and feeling every bit as discarded as the loved ones they lost.
What about the first two victims from 1996 and 1997 that have not been identified yet? Likely nobody reported them missing.

Hmmm. Hmmmm. Hmmmmmmmmm.

"On Friday, the attorney John Ray, who represents the families of Shannan Gilbert and another woman, Jessica Taylor, said he had been tipped off that investigators were closing in on arrest and he had been given two names. He declined to say who the second person was but said he suspected a woman may have been involved."

I wonder if he was given the names of the two people whos hair was found of the bodies. RH and AH.
