I also wonder if talking about the crimes with sex workers was a way to feel "close" to his crimes, maybe even a kind of approximation, perhaps in moments where recreating them directly would have been impossible or too risky (i.e., family in town). It was obviously a high priority for him to continue seeing sex workers, even if he was unable, or chose not, to commit violent crimes against them. It sounds like he may have also discussed the murders with others, but I'm sure that discussing them with sex workers was a way of expanding and fulfilling his fantasy life. JMO.Ex-escort recounts chilling date with accused Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann
Former escort Nicole Brass said she got “a really, really bad feeling” during her dinner date with Rex Heuermann.nypost.com
NY Post, I know, but we now have a former sex worker detailing an unsettling encounter with RH.
I find it incredibly creepy and disturbing that he chose to talk about his own alleged killings on a date. At this point, his dumping grounds had already been discovered. Was he still killing at this point and had found a different dumping ground? He wanted her to go back with him – did he just plan on having sex with her, or did he actually plan on killing her? Was he trying to set the stage for some kind of fantasy by bringing up he killings earlier in the night? Glad she trusted her instinct and hightailed it out of there.
I suspect that more of these stories will be coming out. Women who are still in sex work might be fearful to share any past encounters with him

This is a case that haunts me. They were never able to place a date on that toy soldier . Artifacts date from I believe a 1968-1969 dime and a garment label they ID as 1988. Bag of Rat poison as well. The building is no longer there but RH had access all over the NYC metro area w his work. My mind also went immediately to this case when RH was arrested.

If he went by boat and he went by day, is it desolate enough that a "hunter" could carry a duffle bag and not be noticed? Or if a boat went across the bay at night, would that be noticed? I'm assuming the boat would need lights.

Hmmmm.....so would he prefer to travel by the Avalanche under the cover of darkness to hide the bodies or do it in the daytime as a '"hunter" and get the thrill of being disgusting in plain sight?Duck hunters carry around huge duffels filled with decoys at nearly every hunt. It would attract no attention at all.
My guess is that he did it in the wee hours of the morning, just dragging the corpses out of the bed of his truck. This would take the least time, only seconds for a large man like him to pick up a petite young female and toss her into the marsh or dune grasses. That long, straight road would have allowed him to see headlights from a long way off....he could have timed his dumping for when no one was around, just a few seconds of effort and he's off.Hmmmm.....so would he prefer to travel by the Avalanche under the cover of darkness to hide the bodies or do it in the daytime as a '"hunter" and get the thrill of being disgusting in plain sight?

No one is hunting in that area like that. Its hard to get a permit. Duck season is in December. Temps in the area with windchill can be below zero. If you look below at the hunting areas for Long island, at the bottom left, the "babylon marsh" is the only place you can hunt near the bodies. they give out a VERY small number of permits a year. There isn't a big gun/hunting culture around here. This isn't the middle of PA where hunting season is a big deal. If anything manorville is at the center of hunting on long island. I have yet to see concrete evidence or reporting that he was a duck hunter.Hmmmm.....so would he prefer to travel by the Avalanche under the cover of darkness to hide the bodies or do it in the daytime as a '"hunter" and get the thrill of being disgusting in plain sight?

It’s a scary world
Here is the original Americas Most Wanted segment on Midtown Jane Doe for those who are interested. They aired it 2-3 timesMidtown Jane Doe Killer - New York - 1987-2003 | America's Most Wanted Fans (an unofficial true crime media fan forum with focus on fugitive manhunts)Yes you are referring to the Midtown Jane Doe Case, and the woman found in Tribeca (they found her wearing unusual earrings/makeup compact). Both buildings used to be night clubs. Midtown Jane Doe has been one that never quite leaves me. I submitted a match for her recently, a girl out of Washington to Namus ruled out on NY end but Washington hasn’t posted an exclusion yet. The possibilities of what RH has done are limitless. Both have active threads here on Web Sleuths
I'm not saying I don't think he never hunted just not often. Hunting is physically demanding. He doesn't look active. Plus Just that its not really popular around here, especially in that area. Only legal in the winter and doesn't look like something he did often. If he was an avid hunter would have been some taxidermy or deer heads being taken out his home. I think we are placing too much emphasis on the "duck hunter" theory. I'm big into firearms and such and many many of my friends are too and I don't know a single person that's hunted there. they give out like 7 permits a year for babylon marsh. I don't know many people who even fish in that area. the better fishing areas are east of Gilgo Beach. No one is hunting in that area like that. Its hard to get a permit. Duck season is in December. Thank you for this article. It says he has a missing left front tooth. I find this slightly unusual since he was in the consulting business and might have to meet new clients and pitch his services. I wonder if one of his victims kicked him in the teeth.
