So true but then you have to know NY, NJ, CT are all on the last easterly direction of the United States. I mean the entire Eastern Seaboard is all also East. But for those of us who live in the Tri-State area when the AC murder's happened and how the bodies were facing East it wasn't far away from 9/11 so it peaked our interest that the heads were facing East. One of victims Kim Raffo was from Long Island so there is that link to RH too.

Once Shannon Gilbert went missing eventually leading to Gilgo Beach it was pretty easy at the time to make that connection to AC. JMO
Actually, any culture is related to East. Ishtar, Mesopotamian goddess = Eostre = Easter. Venus, the goddess of love, rises on the East. The altars of Greek temples faced East. In early Christianity, ad orientum means facing East (during prayers). The garden of Eden was located in the East. In short, the perpetrator could have been of any traditional religion, or a pagan, and still, the East would have a certain meaning to him. I personally wouldn’t think of 9/11 because truly religious people bury the dead differently, but probably, my first thought would be facing Venus, the goddess of love.

That tookme off searching for ritual significance of stacked coconut heads.. My search was fruitless. They might have no meaning at all but no stone should be unturned, methinks.
Not that they don't already have this, whatever it is.. but interesting to explore roads unknown..

Snipped for brevity, BIBM for emphasis.

I truly appreciate and respect your opinion in regards to Burke, but dang, not one person in RH’s family/work/social circle suspected him, so nothing would surprise me when it comes to Burke.
Once JB and his crimes started surfacing after these murders. He was on the top of my list of suspects. He had so much power by then that one couldn't help but think he was a suspect for Shannon Gilbert's and the Gilgo Beach murders. He was so out of control during this period of time. Too much power that it corrupted him. But always had his buddy Spota in his pocket so who knows how long he was committing his crimes.

Would SW’s or Escorts readily agree to accompanying a new customer (or any customer) to his home?

Wondering if LE has found evidence of RH paying for hotels rooms. Isn’t that the usual way these encounters happen.

If RH did kill these girls inside his home, what could that mean as far as his method of gaining trust?
Did he previously “date” these girls ( restaurant, dinner, meet at a park) and have pleasant, non threatening conversation with the intent of gaining their trust - for the final date at his home.
So many questions.
I remember seeing that he was in contact with one of the girls (Melissa, IIRC) approximately 16 times within the 3 days leading up to her disappearance. Maybe he gave them a whole background on himself about being married and having children and a business, maybe he told them enough to think he was “safe” or tried to connect with them on a personal level.

I wonder if he possibly even told them another female would be there to make more at ease?

This report if true is interesting. I am neither a psychologist nor psychiatrist, but with other apparent reports of calls by the suspect to relatives of the victims to taunt or inquire of them - and then it now seems he is not watching to see or seeking what others thought of these actions he is alleged to have conducted…… I am surely not qualified to know what that signifies. MOO
Do jails let inmates watch the news before they’re convicted? I would think they prevent that so they can’t build a defense around what they see and hear in the news. Not sure how that works.

I kind of hope he is feeling some fear but then again, he ambushed an ex-cop in Penn station a few weeks ago after having a verbal altercation with him and according to multiple reports he has threatened neighbors in the past. I don't think this guy fears much. Unfortunately. I bet he wants to be BMOC in time.

He does have fear. Not against women, but remember the husband (neighbor) whose wife he scared? There was an argument, but after that RH stopped observing the man’s wife.

So he is big and tall, but I bet if any guy angrily stands up to him, he gets meek. Women are another thing.

Does anyone know the details of that altercation he had with the ex-cop?

I wonder if he was burning evidence. I personally have a paper shredder, but with him he probably had much more than paper to get rid of. Creepy.
And it was illegal to burn there but neighbors ignored it. <modsnip: not victim friendly> It’s very wierd, all of this. JMOO

Next-door neighbor says he would see RH in front of his house in his car, engine running, in late-night hours. Once heard RH digging in the yard late at night and claims RH burned his garbage every few weeks, which is not allowed in that area. Neighbor didn't like him.

I don’t personally know anyone on LI that burns garbage. I know in other areas of the country it may be commonplace, but that raises a huge red flag to me.

...

“Is this Melissa’s little sister?” an anonymous male voice asked the victim’s then-16-year-old sister, Amanda, during one phone call.

“Do you know what your sister is doing? She’s a wh***.”

He made calls using derogatory words, degrading them and attempting to shame them to their families and friends. He got a thrill from this.

Why Gilgo Beach suspect Rex Heuermann may have called victims’ families: forensic psychiatrist
Those calls were sickening, just horrific. I can remember my 15 year old self and thinking how her sister was so young, and it really disturbed me at the time. He also threatened to kill her too. I haven't heard yet if she is now able to identify his voice from that interview with the french guy.

And digging in his yard late at night. If I did ONE of those things, the entire police force would be at my house. And my neighbors aren’t even that nosey. That is beyond odd behavior for most of Long Island. I can see that behavior out east, where homes are on acres+, but, not in this area.

Thank you for the article but it still gives no indication what it stemmed from.
The cop said RH was mad about something he did. It is not specified, but my guess, being a NYC transit rider myself, is the cop put his feet on the seat, put his bag on an empty seat or something along those lines. Maybe he played music or talked too loud on his phone. If any of that is done on a crowded train, others can get irritated...but not to the point of follow-up afterwards! Most people shrug it off as inconsiderate and certainly don't care about it once they leave the train.

I don't know that's the correct scenario, but I picture something like that.

Posted this link on her thread..

'Detectives in South Carolina are reviewing a near-decade-old missing person case to see whether suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann may have been involved, DailyMail.com can reveal.

Cops in Rock Hill, just 20 miles from where Heuermann bought a wild 18-acre plot of land confirmed they are looking anew at the case of Aaliyah Bell Hall who went missing in 2014.

The news has brought new hope of closure for Aaliyah's family who have had to live without knowing what happened to the pretty 18-year-old, who vanished after leaving her uncle's house on November 25, 2014.''
I am anxious to know if Rex was at the sex party that ShannonGilbert was hired for. I am curious if you all believe all 11 victims are his. I don’t believe it for a second.

Thats exactly where my mind went. Said to my partner "bet he put his feet on the seat or had the sound on playing candy crush and the big man said something." People treat the LIRR like it's their living room and much worse.
