This looks facinating. Pity I can't read it.

I tried to get access it said was free for one article per month, but registration had to come from a non-personal email address.

Here’s another link, just a summary

The county was trying to claw back damages for salaries paid, etc. to the corrupt former employees, Spota and Burke.

NEW SEASON: The bound bodies of four women are found along a desolate stretch of beach. Disturbing new details about the architect police say is a serial killer. "48 Hours" correspondent Erin Moriarty reports Saturday, Sept. 16 at 9/8c on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.

Ok, this one is a bit of a reach for NY Post. The article never claims he was physically on the ship.

“On the second day of her trip, “There was a white envelope under my door. … It was a note from [Heuermann],” Henriquez said.

“The note said, ‘I told you I could find you anywhere,’ ” she said.

It’s possible for people back home to arrange for gifts or messages to be delivered to passengers on a cruise ship. I’m not even sure you have to know the cabin number.

I’m not saying the note isn’t creepy, but the article makes it sound like he was on the ship himself.

The attorney for the wife of alleged Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex A. Heuermann is seeking to have his legally owned guns returned to the family’s Massapequa Park home, saying it’s marital property worth “hundreds of thousands of dollars.”

Robert Macedonio said his client, Asa Ellerup, who filed for divorce six days after the arrest of her husband of 27 years, has a right to retain ownership of any firearms that were possessed legally. He said he intends to file a notice of claim on the property after it is transferred to law enforcement in Nassau County for consideration of gun charges against Heuermann.

“The county has no lawful right to any of it that's not considered illegal contraband,” Macedonio said…

A Newsday review of a Suffolk County Police Department Property Section inventory of Heuermann’s seized guns reveals he had a collection of historic long guns, hunting rifles, revolvers and semi-automatic weapons.

Heuermann’s collection includes guns from nearly every decade dating back the 1860s. Firearms in his cache were manufactured in the United States, England, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Russia, Belgium, Brazil, Romania, Israel and France. Some are firearms used in the world wars, while other types include an Uzi and “Tommy” guns, court records show.

They range in value of between a couple hundred dollars to more than $5,000 apiece, according to a comparison of the inventory and online gun dealer price listings…

Macedonio, of Islip Terrace, estimates the entire gun collection could be worth about $300,000.

“They are valuable collectors’ items that he collected legally,” Macedonio said, adding that Heuermann was a “gun guy” who attended NRA conferences.

Macedonio said any outstanding jewelry, clothing and cash removed from the home during the police search should also be returned to Ellerup, who he said is entitled to at least half the marital assets pending the outcome of the divorce.

stalking does not mean physical proximity necessarily.
substitute the word tracking if it's easier.

Obviously, it didn't sound that way to you. You didnt come to the conclusion he booked himself on the cruise.

It did sound creepy to you, which I believe was the point of this this story.

It is tabloidish. Which is to be expected since the Post is a tabloid. But it's not a stretch.

I think it tells a story which shows how Rex Heuermann appears to enjoy creeping out and spooking out women. It is your basic retrospective search for red flags.

It's a teaser for the show. It does reveal, however, that Rex H. was one sick creep who harassed and terrified women he knew. It's very indicative of his predator-like ways, his obsession with controlling women and instilling fear and terror. Just a guess, but there will be similar witness testimonies at his trial, showing how he was obsessed with controlling and terrorizing women.

Harrison declined to comment on whether Heuermann was looking to kill again before being taken into custody, but the top cop reiterated that he believed the South Shore native “was somebody that ruined families, somebody who’s a predator, somebody who shattered lives.

Once the Gilgo Beach victims were discovered, Heuermann must have realized he needed to slow his roll and stop killing. It didn't stop him from stalking and abusing women.

Some women might think it's harmless and amusing, but they would be the exception. Most women would be disturbed if a boss or acquaintance treated them this way.

Harrison told PIX11 News the central question will be: “How many sex workers are still missing in Suffolk County and what are their potential ties to Rex Heuermann?”

Harrison added the two detectives will branch out to investigate sex workers missing in Nassau County and New York City’s five boroughs, after their initial probe is finished in Suffolk County.

Theoretically, there could be also non-SW, who are missing and dead and go to his account. Some run-aways perhaps.

''Jeff Sample, the owner of Precision Lawn Service in Virginia, says he remembers Heuermann as a towering, aggressive architect from New York City.
"He was just arrogant, kind of the 'I'm better than you' kind of feeling," he says "He just seemed like a jerk."
Sample says he agreed to do landscaping work at the Palymra home of Heuermann's mother, Dolores.
"It was just to basically go clean up the yard because it was all overgrown and a mess, and I kind of remember him complaining. He had a big dumpster there, he asked us to throw some stuff in the dumpster and he didn't like the way we put it in," says Sample.
When the work was completed, Sample says he sent a bill to Heuermann in New York but never received payment.
"A month later still no payment. Another month later still no payment," he says. Sample took legal action and filed a civil suit in Virginia in January 2019.''

Attorney Robert Macedonio represents Asa Ellerup, Heuermann's estranged wife. Macedonio says Ellerup has had no source of income since her husband's arrest and now police are focused on the couple's assets.

"It is just a matter of dividing up assets, that's anything from jewelry, to cars, to the house, to the gun collection," says Macedonio.

I would assume that Asa would also be responsible for the debts owed during the marriage.

If my strange co-worker tracked me down on a cruise in the middle of the ocean and had a note delivered to my cabin stating "I told you I could find you" I'd probably quit as soon as I returned.
