Probably, for some. Just guessing, but Rex probably controlled the family finances. She may not have known how much was owed in back taxes, etc.
Do you know if Asa knew the amount and type of guns he had in the house?

True, I bet she didn't, but if they were filing married/jointly she will be held as responsible as RH IMO. She would have had to sign off on the dotted line as well.Probably, for some. The Gilgo Beach Serial Killings,” Saturday, Sept. 16 at 9/8c on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
If my strange co-worker tracked me down on a cruise in the middle of the ocean and had a note delivered to my cabin stating "I told you I could find you" I'd probably quit as soon as I returned.

Probably the burner phones were his memorabilia of his many evil talks with victims (before the meetings) and talks with family of victims (after the killings). Too valuable to be destroyed. Perhaps his serial of evil calls wasn't done yet, and he needed 7 phones for the continuation of his harassments (think of anniversaries). Should we assume, he had 7 victims, each burner phone for one special victim? (Maybe, he had a proper accounting of it?)his use of burner phones is baffling to me...they found evidence related to 7 burner phones he'd used...isn't the whole point of using a burner phone to dispose of it? they presumably would've had to find them in his possession--or am I missing something? keeping a collection of used burner phones seems like a really dumb move for a guy who's been described as pretty intelligent.![]()

Burner phones have numbers.
Numbers that phone other numbers belonging to victims..
Hi Dot, I'm in NZ...we will get the 20/20 episode eventually but guess it depends on when one of our respective Networks will shell out the dosh for it. I saw that it can be watched on "Hulu" - when I went to hulu's Youtube channel only an 8.43 preview is available right now.Does anyone know of a way to see the 20/20 show in Australia, or if it will eventually be released there?
Yiu can watch it with a VPN, that is how i saw it in europe.Hi Dot, I'm in NZ...we will get the 20/20 episode eventually but guess it depends on when one of our respective Networks will shell out the dosh for it. true, but in order to connect those numbers to him, they would've had to have found the phones in his possession (or his fingerprints on them, etc.), no? if he'd gotten rid of them as he went, presumably, they wouldn't have been able to link them to any of those numbers.Burner phones have numbers.

The court documents stated that the burner phones used by Heuermann to contact the victims constantly pinged off the same cell towers as his legitimate phone. They also pinged off the cell towers near his office in Midtown Manhattan and close to his family residence in Massapequa Park, where investigators recently discovered a plethora of eerie evidence. Records further showed that the locations of Heuermann's personal mobile and the burner phones coincided with the locations of the victims’ disappearances in Massapequa, Long Island, and Midtown Manhattan. “Investigators could find no instance where Heuermann was in a separate location from these other cellphones when such a communication event occurred,” the court documents state.
To me it reads that after LE did cell phone tower dumps the victims phone, RH's burner phone and his own personal cell all pinged together each time.

ah, now I get it! that makes sense. thank you, girlhasnoname, Betty P, and Ruminations for helping me understand! couldn't think how the burner phones could be tied to him if he didn't still have them, but that makes it very clear how they were able to piece that together.<snipped & BBM>

JMO, investigators did an amazing job of researching, analyzing and tying it all together. They must have had a large team of experts combing through data and chasing down leads. It’s no wonder the discovery files turned over to Rex’s defense team are so large. If his defense attorneys are going through it now, they must be very worried.ah, now I get it! that makes sense. thank you, girlhasnoname, Betty P, and Ruminations for helping me understand! couldn't think how the burner phones could be tied to him if he didn't still have them, but that makes it very clear how they were able to piece that together.![]()
