In the Susan Smith case, they went for the DP because the father and his family wanted them to. I don't know at what stage they were asked. As you know, she didn't get it, but LWOP instead.

Thank you. I feel sort of guilty for this but I can't wait for more details! I'll be on a camping trip but I'm pretty sure we'll be in town trying to hit up local wifi to get some news.

I know the feeling, don't feel guilty; this case is addicting. I need to know what happened to poor Heather. And I hate gag orders, though I can see why it is in place. Have fun camping!! We will keep you updated if you want to check in.

Yes they ended up giving Jessica McCord LWOP as well. Her husband, even though he did the shooting, got about twenty years for confessing and is up for parole in three years. (Are u listening, Sidney?) He confessed and told the whole story. It was clearly Jessica's idea, to get the father and new wife out of the lives of her children. She is truly a sociopath. Jmo

That is interesting as I always thought the actual shooter/killer would typically get the harsher sentence if sentences are different.

It sure does show a parrallel to this case. Hope someone points this case out to Sydney. Not that i want him to get a reduced sentence. Just want the truth to come out and it may be the only way if he tells all he knows about what happened.

Could someone tell me what BBM stands for. I can't for the life of me figure it out and the internet search is of no help.......:facepalm::blushing:

It stands for Bolded By Me. You also may see an acronym, RSBBM or something like that and it means Respectfully Snipped and Bolded By Me.

I had to ask too:)

I thought it was Blackberry messaging when I first saw it, too. Then I started realizing that it seemed too many WS'ers had Blackberries :floorlaugh:

Wow when I think of all the pondering I have done to figure some of these out......this list should be a on a button at the top of the page especially for new to WS. Something like decoding WS lol
