Ben Needham's mum fights for DNA test to see if gypsy in Greece is her son

The fair-haired man was identified by two sources after Ben’s mum made an emotional appeal on Greek TV last December

The “scared” woman, a mum who is in her 30s, claimed her father was told by his boss that one of their customers was really Ben - the lad who was ‘stolen from Kos.’

“It came out during a conversation that our informant’s relative had with his boss,” Kerry explained.

“The informant mentioned to his boss that the guy didn’t kook like a gypsy. The informant’s boss said ‘because he’s not a gypsy, he is Ben Needham’ and that the ‘father’ of the boy had admitted this to him while drunk.

Was missing Ben Needham at the same gypsy camp as 'Maria'? Police probe claims that abducted British boy was seen at site where blonde girl, four, was found

The mother of missing Ben Needham said she is 'delighted' at the news that an abducted blonde girl was recovered from a gypsy camp in Greece, the country where her own son was last seen.

Police are now probing claims that missing Briton Ben was spotted at the same Greek gypsy camp where the four-year-old child was found this week.

A young man living with a Roma family in Cyprus will be DNA tested after evidence emerged suggesting he could be missing Brit Ben Needham, it was claimed today.

It would be incredible if they did find him but also very sad. To think he has been so desperately missed by his family, yet now he won't speak English or remember them.

Is there any update on the DNA results? I couldn't find any.

I hope that the Needham family will find Ben. But I think they should have tested the young man and gotten the results before putting his photo in the tabloids.

If you're terrified that someone will snatch your baby, why tell the nation you're pregnant?
I understand that one of the most important things in a missing persons case is publicity, but this is daft.

Doesn't really matter. The press run daft stories like this one, day in and day out. It got Ben's face into the press again, so I doubt that the family really gave a hoot about the rest of the 'story'. Its just more publicity for Ben.

Ben Needham's mum Kerry has written a book about her search> I bought it a few days ago and finished it already. Very sad story but very informative book about the processes of getting the search done. I came straight on here hoping there would be more information. I really hope there's a happy ending for this family.
