I have a ton of stuff to do tomorrow so I might miss most of the live viewing. Considering the way today affected me, it may be for the best. It just infuriates me that *advertiser censored* shaming a victim, who is not here to speak for herself, is still a tactic in this day and age. The only other trial I followed this closely was Randy Taylor for the murder of Alexis Murphy and that was nothing like this, although there was plenty of mudslinging by the defense towards the victim there as well.

Hey all, I was there today, but we got our kids dinner, homework, bed, etc and I'm beat. My husband went with me today, but tomorrow I'm going alone. I plan to get there early enough and they put you in this waiting room until about 9:15. The drive is a little over an hour, not bad at all, so I should have some time to post about today while I'm waiting....though I see two giant threads so I'm sure you all covered it!

It was crazy for me to be there...like so surreal. I guess because this has been going on for so long and I've never once not followed online in real time-every single hearing or trial I watched as it happened or that night....so strange to be walking down the hall with TM right beside me. And of course the sweet Elvis family. Looking at Morgan is hard...looks so much like Heather. The first half of the day we sat behind them (row 3) and the second half we sat in the row right in front of the cameras....yes that's my husband's big head I saw in someone's screen grabs from the feed LOL. We moved because at lunch we saw that one of the reporters tweeted out a photo of the courtroom and my husband was pretty visible (he's a Col in the army and he was "sick" today :eek:). Hopefully his coworkers aren't following LOL.

Someone mentioned their reaction when they heard "Sydney" being called....same reaction as just about everyone there (except my husband who was completely clueless :confused:).

No defendant should be allowed to have a computer or telephone in the courtroom during their criminal trial. Tammy Moorer should not have a computer or a phone in the courtroom.

It's astounding to me that TM is allowed to do that. My local courthouse absolutely does not allow any devices in the courtroom except for those being used as evidence or to present evidence. Any time I've been in the courtroom, I had to leave my phone in the car.

She goes home everyday as far as I'm aware!! MOO

She sure does. And if you get the misfortune of being in the elevator with her she mouths to the deputy escorting them out "stalkers". The same deputy that she was chatting up this morning before she took the stand and disqualified 5 of her witnesses :cool:

It's crazy. If you do bring your phone they take it and put it in a zip lock bag. We left ours in the car because I just assumed we couldn't have them. Makes the long line to get in. Reporters have phones and computers of course, but the rest of us don't- except tammy :rolleyes:

@yupikgirl

Thanks so much for posting and letting us know how it went today. I can only imagine how surreal it was. LOL@your hubby's head. I'm going back to look at the pictures that were posted solely to see your hubby's head LOL. Oh no though, at taking a sickie and then on TV. I hope he doesn't get found out. Surely though, he must have found the experience today, rather amusing. I mean, what a day it has been, nothing short of a circus really, cannot imagine actually sitting inside the courtroom while all that went down! Anyway, again, thanks for reporting back to us! Looking forward to reading how it goes tomorrow too! :D

BBM: Right there with ya. I just don't understand why that's an okay tactic to use, even especially in a courtroom. I mean, an attorney wouldn't lambaste a victim for being too black or overly Jewish. Why is this okay?

I forgot to say this. The holding room for her family is across the hall from the waiting room for observers. So when we got back from lunch the bailiff said it was too early to go in and to wait in the waiting room to be called. So we were able to see from the waiting room (there are two doors) the room where they were eating lunch-they kept their door open. So then it was time to go in and her family knows they can't be around the Elvis family, but they made a big deal of how they were treated when they tried to go back in and Heather's Dad and Sister hadn't gotten back in yet....because the bailiff is kind of loud (to put it nicely) and she was screaming "get back,stop right there, don't move any further down the hall". Of course my hubby doesn't know what the heck is going on so he stops LOL...as I keep walking. I turned back and said "not you come on" LOL. But TM was pretty pissed....as well as PC and the youngest child. One thing TM didn't do was make herself blend in anywhere...at any point in the courtroom when we were just waiting for court to start back up she was facing the people in court. If it were me I would have my back to everyone, but not her.

I wish you guys could hear what's going on when they send the jury out- it's crazy! Tomorrow I will focus on taking notes during that part....let me find this one photo of my husband that i saw a few minutes ago. He said "oh well at least it's just my head" LOL (he's wearing a blue checkered shirt and has dark hair, I have blonde hair with a red top on).

@yupikgirl, you have my utmost respect! I am completely knackered and all I did was sit at home watching feeds.

Did you get a sense of what the jury is thinking/feeling? While many of us were losing our minds at the "inconsistent" testimony and attitude of TM's sister (I'm being kind), someone more rational than me posted that the jury is likely thinking/feeling the same. Do you agree?

Thank you for already sharing so much! Can't believe you were in an elevator with TM! And LOL @ your husband. Hope you get some much deserved rest!

They actually left the audio on for a lot of the arguments today (but not when counsel would approach the bench). Hopefully it'll be the same tomorrow.

Oh man, I am loving reading your posts. You're a gem. It's been a crazy day for us on this thread, trust me. I think most have taken off (as in logged out), it was exhausting just reading and commenting here for us. It's only 4.20pm here with me and I'm ready to hit the sack very soon, I think haha. Oh yes please, post a pic if you come across one that you and your hubby's heads are in LOL@him. I am thinking, you may have been one of the members, that checked out the pay phones for us a couple years back? Never forget it!!! What a scream!! LOL You were that close to TM? In the elevator? *shudders* And she has the audacity to call you (folks in the elevator) stalkers...ugh, best she look in the mirror!! You be careful now, watch your back okay!! :D

Oh good! yesterday I was going mad at home watching....the absolute best part of today (besides her sister completely bombing) was the young lawyer getting those printouts of the facebook posts. It was absolute chaos how he handled it....not lost on the jury I'm sure. We had to be told to make sure we kept our facial expressions neutral....so hard with his antics today.

I didn't want to be...once again my husband just doing his thing and not noticing LOL.

I have many impressions about the jurors....I'm hesitant to post because I did earlier and was told not to talk about them so not to screw up the case....which I didn't think was not okay. I've tweeted reporters on other cases and asked how the jurors were reacting to certain testimony and they always tweeted back.

That said, my impression of the jury was they were definitely paying attention to her sister's testimony. Especially on cross....of course that direct was just painfully long and drawn out. ( and after all the delays in the morning i didn't appreciate the drawn out defense lawyer-my husband actually fell asleep- i realize i'm not making him sound too good here. no worries i woke him and he tried harder to pay attention lol).

@jash

You're still here too LOL. We oughta get some sleep I reckon. I'm the same, I'm absolutely buggered!! You asked some great questions though, I can't even think of any LOL. My eyes are droopey, I'm like...

HA I can imagine it was exhausting for you in here today..it was so confusing! The stalker thing was weird...I mean how does she figure? We wanted to go home too LOL.

It was not me that did the photos, but I remember it well!! I have lived in SC before (military and stationed here a couple times before), but when this all happened in 2013 we were in Thailand. I have been right here with you guys all along though...feeling grateful I'm now on the same time zone!

Hello friend! It's 11:40 pm here and I am physically exhausted but my mind is still racing. I know one thing, I will sleep like a hibernating bear after the jury comes back with a guilty verdict! *fingers crossed*

Take care and I'll 'see' you tomorrow!

The Stalker comment she made is weird..she is weird LOL

Oh I have a question. How long did Casey Brown disappear for? Do you know? Do you think by any chance he went out and brought those handcuffs? Chased down AC and other potential witnesses? or Just had to use the toilet? LOL
