I saw that too and wondered if it was Clint.

It was right after the video comments, so I was wondering if it was him. Also, does anyone know if the talking in the background during Billie's video was on the video or going on in the gym during it?

They zoomed into Clint early on before the memorial began. I think David was sitting beside him??? Not sure tho-I was surprised at all the video's of everyone too. Also as to the turnout. Without being derogatory to anyone......she sure was loved by her teacher's and friends, that is evident.

A lot more people wanted to go but they kept saying some people could be turned away etc and in the end once it was said it would be live they decided to watch it there instead.

After all that drama I was expecting a bigger crowd than that.

Who are all those people in the back? Looks like a biker gang or something, can't really tell because the video quality is poor.

Yes, Clint was there. He sat next to David. They showed them being seated at the beginning. I did see someone get up and leave that was sitting in the front but couldn't tell who it was. He was male though.

Clint made someone move I think so David was next to him I think so he wasn't near Billie.

Bikers against Child Abuse.

Was because of the drama there wasn't a bigger crowd.

I think it was in the video...some guy was talking in the background at one point.

I don't think he was there when it was filmed no.

That was BACA's (Biker's Against Child Abuse) chapter out of Lubbock. I know some of them personally who were friends of my ex who was a biker. They were wonderful to my daughters when their dad died.

I think it was on the video from Billie, not the gym. I thought the gym was very quiet and respectful. Glad to se BACA there also.

I think they should have stuck with a private service.

IMO they had a public memorial service because people who were very involved in the case demanded one, but it is clear from that video that the community as a whole was not that interested.

what video?

I resent that statement because I am from one of the surrounding communities and you have no idea what small town Texans do. When one of our young die, there are so many people at the funerals that people have to spill out into the streets. Every funeral that I have been to of one of my children's friends or even one of my own when I was in high school were massive in turn out. The reason there was low turnout to Hailey's memorial is straight up because of the drama perpetrated by her own family.

Frostess I know people who most definetly wanted to go but didn't in the end because of the drama and all the talk about some people weren't going to be let in and whether it would keep being public or not. I feel bad for those people that they didn't get to go in the end. I was going to go but didn't for the same reason as many others. A lot of my friends went though.

They are having a private burial. I hope they used some of the money they raised for searches on the beautiful flowers for the memorial. I think the community poured out. What you don't realize is Colorado City is a VERY SMALL town. The entire town will fit in the gym I would think, so I imagine there really was a lot of support from the town. It is just small. I also imagine a lot of people watched from TV instead of going. Since I did not know the family personally and am not from CC, I felt more comfortable watching from home, just as a lot of other people did I am sure.

:goodpost: To think that people didn't care is patently absurd. The drama and tbreatening pm's sent out disgusted people. When live stream became an option, people were happy to take that option rather than 'dramamamma' histrionics. There is only so much lipstick in the world. ;)

And that community that you are talking about spent countless hours looking for Hailey. They spent their days off, out there looking for her instead of spending it with their own families. They spent their own money printing flyers and placing them and replacing them for over 2 years. So how dare you say they were not interested.

Additionally, there has already been one memorial service, which seemed to be well attended. I think CCity and the surrounding communities very much care about Hailey and what happened to her.

A lot of the flowers were donated by the company that did the flowers for Amber Dubois and Chelsea king. Additionally many on facebook pages for Hailey contributed flower arrangements and of course others did also.
