If Morgan got into his cab, where would she have told him she wanted to go? Surely he didn't make her believe he was going to take her all the way back to Blacksburg at that time of night? Wonder if that group of kids had hotel reservations for staying in C'ville? What I'm getting at is, how long would it have been that Morgan was in the cab before she realized that she was in big trouble? And then, how does JM maintain control of that situation?

No idea. But she was not in great shape and JM has a nice and easy demeanor, could have suggested that the two of them get a drink or a toke or something on the way, she could have fallen asleep after telling him where she wanted to be taken, or she might not have noticed the detour he took. He's a big storng guy. If he got the cab somewhere secluded, ti would have taken a minute to stop the cab, get out, open Morgan's door and rip her out of the cab or jump her. She was messed up already, and her reflexes would liklely been slow. It wouldn't have taken much.

That's where I was trying to get with my post the other day about his competitiveness and his winning status in high school and his ending up where he did in Texas. Not that it was Corll necessarily, but that he might be competing for the championship in this "game." What would he have to do to be "the best," the "champion?" I know nothing about SKs, so without lots of research I can't answer my own questions, but someone here likely can. Keep brainstorming and talking. That might get us/LE where they need to be.

I think we need to up the game because I think he did. I think he's one-upping "the best."

With what we know about him now you would think that someone who knew him would remember something that he did that was strange or out of character.

Ha- maybe JM was the one that actually started the dreads trend among his buddies... after deciding to grow them b/c he was recognizable. Yes, who knows.

Wow, can you imagine what that would be like if he were ever on the witness stand?? My oh my. That would be a sight.

Ha! Waterboard, my back side. Remember the little ditty that goes, " you have the right to remain silent....." He doesn't have to say a word and shouldn't since anything he says can be used against him in a court of law. LE didn't sweet talk him when he wasn't charged which is when they could have asked him some questions without warning him and getting on guard. A good interviewer just might have gotten something out of him. Once LE started playing hardball, like slapping the warrent on this car and not sympathizing with him, they got his guard up. Once he talked to a lawyer, he was told not to say jack.

People need to come forward with this type of information, people who know him well. That's what could put this all together. I think they're afraid because 99% of the time he's a great guy, and they don't want to admit that this could, in fact, be he who did this. Unfortunately, while they might think it's loyalty to their friend, it's actually selfish. Withholding information that could help solve a crime. Why? What is the gain?

Hannah's parents are grieving. Can you imagine if it were you?

This type of information could not only help them solve Hannah's disappearance - perhaps even find her alive - but prevent this from ever happening again. If it's not JM, that will be discovered. And these friends would have helped LE figure that out, too, so they can keep looking for the right person (or people).

I read here on WS the other day that it was 10 miles from where MH was last seen to the location where she was found. It isn't completely a straight shot, but two or possibly three turns would put a vehicle from JPJ or Copeley Road onto the hwy 29 bypass on the NW side of C'ville, and then it IS a straight shot from there.

I didn't necessarily mean to infer that he has one place where he hides everything and everyone, but he must have a "technique" or some kind of method to his madness, and no one so far has figured it out. I think it has to be possible to figure it out. Rocket science, it ain't.

What if he knew RAT and copied him? What if he has his own camper trailer? There has to be a trick here. There just has to be. Something is different.

Even more bizarre, what if he copied Dean Corll? Dean had a captivity box in the back of his van, all ready for his next victim. Corll was the one who buried young boys on the beach in Texas where JM was arrested.

For many SKs, killing is their most revered accomplishment; their legacy. Well I just had a rando thought... Are there any caves or caverns in the forest lands close by? I've tried to search for caverns online and it looks like there are a bunch of touristy ones that run along 81 up and down Virginia. The Crystal Caverns at Hupp's Hill are closed since 2010 but there could be something closer to Charlottesville that would be in a desolate area on parkland or a large farm. Anyone in the area know of any?

Well I just had a rando thought... Are there any caves or caverns in the forest lands close by? I've tried to search for caverns online and it looks like there are a bunch of touristy ones that run along 81 up and down Virginia. The Crystal Caverns at Hupp's Hill are closed since 2010 but there could be something closer to Charlottesville that would be in a desolate area on parkland or a large farm. Anyone in the area know of any?

Lots. But, any that are "known" and large enough that people can get into are spelunked pretty routinely. He might know of one/some though that the most people don't, particularly if on private property - and there are those as well.

Perhaps some of these should go in the "what do we know about him" thread, too. I think they're important in both places as what we know about him may help in the search. Anyone up to the task of moving/reposting some there? I don't know how to move posts from thread to thread.
