Holly Bobo's Remains Have Been Identified

Just wow.
Please let the Bobo family (if it's holly) find some closure. Or some other family.
What a terrible way to get your loved one back ; but at least with a skull, there should be enough for dental records.

Whoa! Other evidence found:

Decatur Co. update MT @KRufener_WREG3 Sheriff says other evidence was found with skull, but can't say what it is.No obvious signs of trauma

Sheriff calls the fact that these ginseng hunters found these remains "divine intervention." We're live at noon. @wsmv

I'm a firm believer that all missing/murdered victims want to be revealed, and will guide those who will listen.. It may be Devine Intervention or the ongoing battle between Good and Evil, but there is always a spiritual connection, imo..

You Believers, is based on the true story of Peggy Carr who went missing in Wilmington, NC, and it tells the story of the ensuing seven-month search for her, led by Monica Caison and CUE/NC. It is a cathartic story of casual evil and of how the worst things can be faced so that we might not only survive, but grow.

Sheriff: DNA testing could quickly exclude the remains as not being Holly's. Could easily be a hitch hiker from interstate @NC5 #HollyBobo

Decatur Co Skull: Another missing person in Dacatur County is Kristie Baugus Moon. She disappeared in 1999. pic.twitter.com/2JlwqWavVl

The anticipation is almost too much to bear! Although saying three days was way beyond my expectations as far as how long it will take. I do hope some family gets answers soon and it's not just a skull from a time long ago. I feel so bad for all the families who are waiting with the "what if it's them" questions.

"We just have a skull and a few bones, and that's it," - Sheriff Keith Byrd. @JSunNews @JordanBuie

Byrd said the only other person missing from Decatur County besides #HollyBobo is Kristie Baugus Moon, who disappeared in October of 1999.

Do we have an active scanner thread for Holly downstairs? Thanks!

:seeya: Hi GGE,

I did not see an active scanner thread downstairs ... but you may want to check with the Mods here.

I hope that helps.

Not sure if this missing person has been discussed as a possibility; Martha Leanne Green -->Case File 67DFTN
Missing since April 15, 1987 from White Bluff, Dickson County, Tennessee.
Classification: Non Family Abduction

Doe network
http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/67dftn.html
Circumstances of Disappearance
Leanne Green was last seen in her brother's car at approximately 9:00 PM on April 15, 1987.
They had stopped on Highway 46 in Dickson, TN. Her brother left the vehicle to buy gasoline for the car; when he returned, his sister was missing. Her handbag was left in the car and there was no sign of a struggle

Hopefully this is a break for Holly but even if its not it can mean closure for someone else

I've spent time looking at other cases from the area, some are really cold cases. Even as Holly's parents need answers, here are a couple of more.

Sheila Faye Bradford: Missing since September 22, 1992 from Camden, Benton County, Tennessee, She disappeared after being in fear of her
life of knowing something to do with a double murder of Danny Vine and Della Thornton. Danny Vine was mussel shell dealer. Interesting case.

Christopher Mittendorf & Kristina Branum: Both Missing since July 27, 2006 from Hardin County Tn. In this case there is speculation as what happen to them.

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/m/mittendorf_christopher.html

Of course Kristie Baugus Moon.

Just hope someone's family is going to get some answers.

Thanks, Foxfire...

Wow! Gag order trumps ID of deceased...

What if the remains belong to someone other than Heather... Doesn't THAT family (who is not bound by a gag order) deserve to know who the remains belong to?

I am puzzled....:waitasec:

They've said several times that the results are inconclusive. Florida is respecting the Horry County gag order in terms of discussing further details, such as whether there's a reason for inconclusive results. The remains have been sent to the Texas lab for further processing so it sounds like it's a technical issue of some kind.

All of my thoughts in a nutshell!!!

I would think it should be easy/easier to tell if a skull was 3 years old versus going back up to 30 years

As nervous and anxious as we all are to find out who this is, I know we can't even begin to imagine what the Bobo family is going through right now. I so badly want them to be able to have some sort of closure and for Holly to be able to have a proper resting place.

RBBM: Wow ... and Thanks TF for this update !

Hmmm ... wondering what other evidence was found ... any thoughts ?

Its a good question. Perhaps clothing of some sort.

I hope the identification goes quickly.
