Wasn't Hope in court this morning?
Okay, that color is NOT good on her! lol
What a hot mess, 15 years?! I'm guessing that this is not her first go around for drugs. She's scr@*#%.
If she knows anything about Haleigh, now's the time and she better hurry!!
It is interesting, Elle. I "hope" we're not reading too much into it, and I "hope" her lawyer is working on a bargaining deal in exchange for info re Haleigh. Guess we'll have a clue when her sentencing comes down.Interesting that she decided to plea no contest though and we have RC MC DB all pleading not guilty.....right?
She has priors for drugs. Hot Mess is right. But why did Dana Treen report that she wasn't gonna cooperate re RC and MC's trafficking? I just find that odd...:waitasec:

I don't read it as saying she is not going to cooperate. I interpret it to mean that the prosecutor has not asked Hope anything that she might have to cooperate with. No arrangements for her to testify...that's just me though.
Is no contest the way it sounds....I know I am caught so there is no contest?...Maybe I am interpreting it wrong.

You've got it right, Elle. A no contest plea simply means the defendant will not fight the charges, but it stops short of admitting guilt. It's fairly common in non-violent felonies. If there is little evidence and the state deems the case unworthy of the cost of a trial, a sentencing arrangement is worked out that is mutually satisfactory. Nol contendere is a plea also seen when the state thinks there are bigger fish to fry, and the accused agrees to turns state's witness. When I first read the articles, I thought that might be what's happening with Hope. Simply because the prosecutor says she has not made arrangements for Hope to testify against R&M doesn't mean something is not in the works. It's also possible that if not R&M, Hope has information relevant to their sources. Unfortunately, I doubt she has any significant information about Haliegh. I just got a little excited for a moment.
How on earth did you interpret my post to mean that!? I posted examples. Period. Where oh where did I state Hope would be required to turn state's witness?BBM
Pleading Nolo Contendre does not mean a person will turn state's witness. Hope is not going to be required to testify against any of her co-defendant's in this case (according to a site that we cannot link to here).
FYI - for anyone interested.
Nolo contendre is simply a plea meaning the defendant will not contest the charges against him or her. A "NC" plea is "similiar" to a guilty verdict, but the person is not admitting nor denying responsibility. The defendant is agreeing to accept a sentence for the crime with which s/he is charged, rather than face a trial (where a harsher sentence may be dished out). The most important legal part of a NC plea is no admission of guilt is made.
I doubt Hope has any information about HaLeigh. She had a previous arrest back on January 4th. I would think that LE would have grilled her back at that time to see if she knew anything.
I just wish they'd find HaLeigh. Who would have though over a year later, we'd still be looking for this precious baby.
