While delving further into these items (and others) it came to my attention that there is an inquiry finding Joe Biden has committed impeachable conduct by the U.S. house Committee on Oversight and Accountability.

In my next post I will relay outline of the voluminous findings from this enquiry.

Court is in recess until 2 p.m. ET while the government reviews the law on this issue. Prosecutors said this is the first they're hearing of Biden's plea.

Biden's attorneys have offered up an Alford plea, however the federal prosecutors may not accept an Alford plea, they are not required to do so.
 
“I want to make something crystal clear, and that is the United States opposes an Alford plea,” prosecutor Leo Wise said in court. “Hunter Biden is not innocent. Hunter Biden is guilty. He is not entitled to plead guilty on special terms that apply only to him.”

U.S. District Judge Mark Scarsi said he didn't need the government's approval. But after a break, Hunter Biden's lawyers dropped the effort, and he pleaded guilty.

I think the date is Dec 16. But, I doubt it will bring a severe sentence. I don't think he'll see the inside of a cell. He pleaded guilty for a reason--and I think that reason was to avoid the cell. He paid the money back and he doesn't have former convictions. Tax criminals often avoid jail. Plus, he argued that his addiction at the time was a mitigating circumstance. I'm guessing he'll get probation, some high fines, and if he's sentenced to prison, the judge will accept home confinement instead.

I'm not sure what the sentencing date is now. I'm not sure what the judge will do, and the sentencing guidelines that will apply and what they allow. I will argue the point about "tax criminals often avoid jail." I knew a man, misrepresented income based on real estate commissions he was receiving and he did 18 months in prison. Hunter's non payment was avoidance, not a mistake. So he could get prison time. But I do expect him to receive either a pardon or commutation.

A friends son in law, a physician, plea agreement requirement repayment of tax, fines and interest PLUS a two year jail sentence.

That's Virginia, not sure if that makes a difference, it's all still federal court.
