Why wouldn't LE have interviewed the boy at the time? I hope they did.

I am sure they did, but the sport of fishing seems more relevant now than it would have at the time of the abduction, since the girls bodies were found where fishing and hunting seem to be the only reason a person would want to be in the area.

IMO, perp is an avid sportsman.

or a camper(s) or person(s) that partied there before as rumor has it.

I have never been there, but from talking to others who have, the area is composed of a few dead end roads off a very long gravel road. The area the girls were found would be a turn-around spot for vehicles.

Yes, that is correct. It's a spot to turn-around...but I guess when it was more kept up (by DNR) it was (and may still be) a fishing spot where people would bank fish.

The road into the park is a gravel road, and that turnabout is way at the end of the road. I have no idea what kind of upkeep (if any) the county has done but my opinion would be that this person has been there before.

IIRC, a young boy was fishing at Meyers Lake the day the girls were abducted and he was asked if he had seen the girls, but hopefully LE will now ask this boy if he remembers anyone else fishing at Meyers Lake that day.

I don't remember ... did LE or the FBI provide a criminal profile, at the time of the abduction.

I don't believe a criminal profile was provided. But the FBI did release some key points to keep in mind (on page 2 of article):

IF refridgeration was used to store the angels bodies.
Who would have access to a refridgerator big enough for the 2?
Now I'm not talking freezers.

• Perhaps you know someone who was talking about planning on being in the Evansdale area on the 13th of July. Perhaps they were planning to visit someone, go camping, fishing, boating, or visit for business.

and

Whoever did this has neighbors, relatives, co-workers and friends. Whoever did this walks amongst us, and lives amongst us.

these hit home huh?

A walk in unit..restaurant, cold storage, butcher shop. Taxidermy or deer processor would be my guess, if that is the scenario. This time of year both processors and taxidermists here often have outdoor cold storage. I watched one fellow locally taking large 2 deer out, and into his shop, using a grocery cart. It's a big IF, however, until there is more info.

For what its worth I dont think refrigeration or freezing was involved and I believe theyve been in that locaton all this time. But to play devils advocate, someone who sells live bait, someone who occupies a building which was once used for foodservice for refrigeration. As to freezer one chest freezer in someones basement or garage would be large enough to hold two bodies.

Of the two unlikely options, freezer is the more likely moo

Well, that tells me that Heather and Drew have some friends whose loyalty is greater than their compassion or discretion.

I agree. I have been saddened by the difference in compassion for the families of these girls. I remember in the beginning of this case there were some comments which conveyed a feeling that Lyric was a sort of 'marginal' child who may have been responsible for what happened to her and Elizabeth.

That makes me sad. No child deserves to be held accountable for the 'sins' of their parents.

Lyric was a little girl, too. What total hypocrites, these 'friends'. :(.

Anyone else find it a coincidence or maybe more that the reward for information rose to $150K a few days before they were found? Maybe it's nothing but it had me wondering today.

Well, I read in the newspaper that Heather was greeting Christmas shoppers and passing out candy canes with the missing girls flyers. This may have increased donations and public support; therefore, increasing the reward. Additionally, people are more generous and caring for one another around the holidays.

I am proud of the family and their efforts to locate these girls (far from what I saw in the HaLeigh Cummings case!) jmo

snipped:
"Kieler and Elizabeth’s mom, Heather Collins, attended West High School in Waterloo together. She said Collins was her biggest supporter during a battle with breast cancer about two years ago, sending weekly cards, cash and gift certificates, dropping by to deliver coffee from Starbucks or attending benefits and other events. “Even Elizabeth came and drew me a picture,” she recalled. Kieler, of Waterloo, ran into Collins and her husband, Drew, at Crossroads Center a week ago. They were handing out candy canes with pictures of the girls. “They are the most positive, most faithful, loving, caring people that I’ve ever met,” she said. “Even with these circumstances, they were still happy to see me and asked about my health.”

Thanks dadgum, I hesitated to mention butcher or meat renderer because I was worried it would lead back to more speculation about the hunters who discovered the girls but you are right.

I picture it going down like this:

Hunters happen upon one body. Probably called LE via a cell phone. As they wait for LE they already suspect it is one of the girls. This case has bee very wel covered in the area. I can't imagine anyone within a hundred miles not knowing about the case. As they wait they hav probably been told not to touch anything and to gingerly move away from the body, noting where they are stepping so they can show LE ater and have their own trail/bootprints eliminated as potential evidence. As they do so, they are watchfull, mindfull there are two mising girls, as they move further away from body one, they discover body number two.

I hope you are wrong because the searching for the second body could have destroyed evidence. The first could not be helped.

Looking at Hollye's map and timeline of events, I am hoping there may be a match: "Unusual Tire Tracks Found By Ollipop"
with tracks found near where the girls were located. I noticed in the photos of LE searching in a ditch, that there are tire tracks. I am certain there are also tire tracks in the sandy area by the white cloths.

Praying for God's blessing upon LE to give them the wisdom & tools to find those responsible for this tragic incident! :please:

Not so much the hunters who found the girls..but someone familiar with the area because of hunting or other experiences. IF this is what happened, the person does not have to be the owner of the cold storage, and if not, may have felt the need to move them now, as things get busy.

It is such a huge IF..and isn't based on much more than one comment during the news conference. I hate the thought of this..but can see it happening because of the amount of publicity, searches, etc., if the person was in a panic, and feared discovery.

I don't know why, but this seems less like a sex crime from a opportunistic deviant and more like a calculated effort to extinguish these two lives for even more sinister reasons.

It is my hope that the huners used good sense and were simply moving back and away from body one when they happened close enough to see body two.

And of course it is entirely possble that LE discovered body two and reports that he hunters found bodies (plural) could be inaccurate.

Thank you wasn't enough.

As unpopular as this will probably be, I don't see Misty or Dan as being culpable either. I don't think anyone sets out to become an addict. I'm saddened that in the US, it is treated as a crime rather than as a medical problem.

I can't even imagine what sort of mentality it would take to blame a 10 year old girl for something like this.

BBM, let's hope this perp(s) are inexperienced and make allot of mistakes NOW!

If you are hiding the bodies you do not place them in a hunting spot because they will surely be found - this appears to be a definite "dumping ground"
