You go Bunnyhop! :drumroll:

OT, but important IMO.

I've been watching this week about ex-Gov Pataki.

Little or no coverage, but i'm watching.

Former Gov. George E. Pataki at a Manhattan courthouse on Tuesday; a group of sex offenders are suing him and other officials.

“My family was fine — I had troopers,” Mr. Pataki told the jury in Federal District Court. “But I couldn’t help but think of a mother in a walk in the park with a child.”

He added, “It just made me personally aware not just of the horrors of these crimes, but the immediacy of the possibility.”
http://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/24/n...ffender-trailed-his-family-on-hike.html?_r=1&

About 5 or 6 years ago, gals from the office decided to go to Christmas show at Bronx Botanical Garden, afterwards, dinner on Arthur Ave. Bronx.

We had to go to Dominick's.
http://nymag.com/listings/restaurant/dominicks-restaurant/

The tables are community tables and there's no menu. You ask the waiter.
Veal? Fish? Pasta? Bring it. Picture Dinero and Scorcese.

So, while we were waiting for our seats, "upstairs" sipping wine, enter Gov. Pataki to use the mens room. Waved to us and said hi.
He sat at a community table with young staffers and was very friendly and relaxed.

My point is, I admire him for his stance on RSO's and his willingness to keep them off the streets.

Grainne Dhu,
A question about tracking dogs again if you will be kind again to answer. If the vehicle is ever found that LE thinks was the vehicle used to transport (sounds cold, I know) the girls, would a dog be able to alert to their scent in that vehicle after all this time?

I try to keep the stuff off my personal page

I will get verified when I get home from Iowa Sunday. Going there for a poker run in Sumner and to do a little recon myself. AS I have said, I was given a gift, not psychic, just a gift of common sense. I need to check out some things to solidify my theory and who I think is responsible. I will check facts, take pictures, and even check on that "detention center" Klunder was in. I don't believe kids were allowed to come and go and I lived there for 15 years and never knew 7 bridges even existed, hence I don't think it was Klunder. I know a lot of people and them people know a lot of people, like the owner of the junk yard that a running car was taken and asked to be crushed by this certain person.....Why would anyone do that if they are just junking a car? I vow to get answers for Drew and Heather or even possibly draw the killer to me, one could only hope. But don't worry, I have a lot of eyes on me at all times :) Talk to you all Sunday when I get back.

@ Pearl, that is one of the things I want to find out. And it has to do with my previous post. The car was never junked as requested and I think the cops have it. Rumor, possibly, but like I said, I know someone who knows someone that owns that particular junkyard. I will see if it is rumor or not. Yes a tracking dog, especially a cadav dog would go nuts if they were transported deceased in that car. If brought to the forest preserve alive, maybe not so lucky. I train my dog by taking articles of clothing outside of my childrens and hiding them among the yard, then let him out and he will find them and bring them back. I started out with pieces of hotdogs when he was young. Then I treat him when he is successful. A Bassett Hound will not stop until they find what they have locked onto. You literally have to drag them off scent or they will die trying. They are relentless. I will talk to you all Sunday. Be safe and have a great weekend.

If Roger's POI is a registered sex offender aren't we allowed to name him or at least just give initials? I'm confused about the rules for that. I remember seeing lots of initials of sex offenders with links to their bit on the registry. Isn't that allowed? TIA!

RE: I don't believe kids were allowed to come and go and I lived there for 15 years and never knew 7 bridges even existed, hence I don't think it was Klunder..
'The retired FF/couple in the prior video of 7 Bridges Park, shared that there were picnic tables and folks frequented the on a regular bases a couple decades ago'..

RodgerD, it would be great if you can get info on the Bremwood Juvenile facility. From past experience in other cases, these facilities have minimal, if any security and the juveniles can walk away with virtual ease.
After shooting his stepfather at age 17, in Hialeah, FL. Serial Killer Gary Hilton was sent to one of these juvenile facilities in FL. He walked away, obtained his GED, joined the Army, and became special forces trained.

The Bremwood juvenile facility was a Lutheran faith based organization. The juveniles painted houses, cleaned Churches, and completed other community projects.

http://wcfcourier.com/waverly/breme...cle_ddec27ac-dda9-5e36-8c3e-8b643477b28d.html

Waverly police officers were called to Bremwood Campus to assist with a male juvenile who walked away from the facility. The boy was located a few blocks away and taken to the Waverly Health Center and then transported to Allen Hospital for psychiatric evaluation.

I will definitely do that to clear up any questions about that place. Let you know Sunday

Grainne Dhu,
A question about tracking dogs again if you will be kind again to answer. If the vehicle is ever found that LE thinks was the vehicle used to transport (sounds cold, I know) the girls, would a dog be able to alert to their scent in that vehicle after all this time?

The short answer is "no."

The long answer is that dogs are quite good at picking up on handler intentions and there are handlers who fool themselves about exactly what their dog is indicating on. The handler thinks the dog is giving a true indication for the target scent but what the dog is really doing is indicating where the handler expects the dog to indicate. Such handlers have all sorts of rationales for when the evidence doesn't support the dog: the substance was there at one time but has been removed, an air current pushed scent into that one spot, someone who had that substance on their hands or clothes touched that spot, etc.

It's both fascinating and horrifying.

Here's a link to a study that demonstrated that handler beliefs had a significant impact on dog indications:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3078300/

It is definitely an area where a healthy dose of scepticism can do a lot of good.

ETA: the above is predicated on the theory that the girls were alive until they reached 7 Bridges; if they were already dead, then there may be an indication by an HRD dog on the scent of decomposition.

My theory, however, is that the girls were alive until they reached 7 Bridges.

Thanks Rodger. Thoughts are with you.
Thank you for you dedication to your sister and for helping others.

Stay strong Rodger. :heartbeat:

I was a bit confused, but now I have a much better understanding after reading this:

WATERLOO, Iowa --- The brother of a toddler who was molested and killed in 1974 is raising money to replace her gravestone.

"Rodger Day was only 4 when 2-year-old Michelle "Shelly" Day disappeared while under the care of a baby-sitter at the former Castle Apartments on Commercial Street.

Residents first feared she had fallen into the Cedar River behind the building, but her body was found five hours later, hidden in the attic over neighbor Russell James Fitz's bathroom.

Police said she had been strangled with an extension cord, which was found wrapped around her neck."

Bunnyhop! You definitely made me wanna go to Dominick's! I've never been to NY and this would have to be one of my stops if I ever get there one day. Gov. Pataki sounds like my kind of guy too! Good story!

B4igo2it-I don't think you are free to come and go at a juvenile detention center. My POI is the original suspect that lived across form park, there was a vacant house just doors down from his, and had a relative from Readlynn, 4 miles from 7 bridges. Cant say names. it got my previous posts taken down

Your POI is a registered sex offender and I'm pretty certain he had been checked out by LE. From what I can see, he isn't their POI.

*RUMOR* *RUMOR* *RUMOR ONLY*

I have a friend who has heard that same rumor about the car and the junkyard. She also says that the belief where she lives (Cedar Falls), most people believe that this person is guilty, but that he has an alibi for that entire afternoon.

Roger, I did not realize the details of what had happened to your sister. I am so very sorry.

There's no connection between Russell James Fitz and the registered sex offender, CMF of the same last name is there? Just a weird coincidence? That just raised a red flag when I saw that name.
